Jellybean also able to be used as usb host? - General Questions and Answers

I was very excited for ICS due to the usb host feature. Does jelly bean retain this feature? I know that sometimes an update comes out and features are added and some are lost.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] USB OTG supported?

I can't find any mention of USB OTG on the Sensation, so assume it's not supported. Correct?
I also want to know~~
I think it can't.
I also think it can't.
Now with S-Off?
Any possibility?
any news about otg?
I'm interested too.
i guess ICS may do the magic. Since its said to support allmost all sorts of usb device. Once we have a proper vanilla ICS on sensation, it may add the drivers for usb otg... Lets hope so..
Hi
Ics is on sensation now. Any news about usb otg on it ?
Thx

[Q] Is there audio yet for Jelly Bean 4.1

Since I am a newbe I can't post in the dev fourms so I will ask my question here. I sucessfully installed [DEV][CRACKFLASHERS] 4.1 Jelly Bean JRN84D (Gnex)/ JRN84C (SDK) with the WIFI update-crespo-JRN83C-preview-2012063001 but no audio is there a workaround a driver perhaps anything, I like this rom it's super fast on my Nexus S
Chris
This wouldn't belong in development anyway (starting new threads in development is for DEVS ONLY) so it's good you couldn't post there.
If you want everything working you should stay away from SDK ports. It's not what you want to hear but it's the truth. There is no source code to work from so they are often very wonky.
No, there is no audio. You have installed the latest port.
There will not be any audio fix for the port. We will have to wait for the Update from Google.

You should have read and asked around before flashing this ROM, as the previous users said and I would like to re-inforce this; SDK ROMs lack a lot of things and are not stable at all. They are not recommended, and they are basically good for previews and stuffing around.
If you really want the new Jelly Bean 4.1, then just wait a week or 2 and a stable version will come out, a custom ROM too.
If you want to revert back to a Custom ROM for now I suggest you use AOKP. It's very stable, reliable and easy to use. Make sure you don't flash a Stock ROM as this can cause problems.
Cheers
From what ive seen there is not audio yet. Devs are working hard to get it out and i appreciate it very much.

Miracast?

Since I am unlocked and rooted, I am waiting for our awesome devs to port 4.2 over to CROMI or another custom Rom . Does anyone who has the 4.2 update know if the tf700 is now compatible with miracast? I know it is officially supported in 4.2, but after searching around I found out that some devices on 4.2 (such as the nexus 10) dont support the wireless hdmi. Thanks for the help.

[SOLVED] OTG + DSLR : rom\kernel working combination

As the title says, I am searching for a ROM+Kernel combo that enables DLSR control via OTG. I am currently on the latest ViperOneS, which supports OTG for mice keyboards and mass memory, but not remote control.
Also tried to use a USB Y cable for additional power, to no avail. Someone suggested that it's kernel related and I should downgrade from 3.4, but I haven't found definite proof in the forums.
So, has anyone managed to make it work, or has any advice? Thanks a lot in advance to all the community

Quick update - works with BAKED blackbean 9 and 3.0 kernel
So, i decided to make a quick test. After a nandroid, I wiped and flashed BAKED blackbean. Now otg works with my D7000, although I still don't know if it's sense vs AOSP or the kernel version that's making the magic. Hope someone can clarify.. In the meantime I'll keep testing
[UPDATE]
So, I jumped on the 4.3 bandwagon with droyd's Odyssey ROM. This means AOSP and 3.4 kernel, and also sadly means no DSLR support whatsoever. Damn. At this point I'd like to know if there's a good stable Sense ROM, 3.0 kernell-driven, possibly JB since ICS apparently requires an external USB cable, because no power comes from the mini port of the phone.
tl;dr : 1) kernel 3.4 is almost certainly the reason for DSLR OTG not working
2) I need a Sens JB rom with 3.0 kernel
NEWSFLASH!
Found a working combination:
- MaximusHD ROM
-ElementalX Kernel v. 6.0
I read among the changelog "otg whitelist removed" so I gave it a shot and it works! Yay!!

[Q] Ho to get "USB Internet" option on android 4.1.x?

Hi people, i had searched a lot on internet and not found any solution yet.
I have Cynus t2 v17 ROM on my Micromax a110. Its android 4.1.2 and i really like it so dont tell me to change the whole ROM. On all android 4.2 series, there is an option in settings, called "USB internet", which we can use to reverse tether via USB cable. All i want is, the same feature on my 4.1 rom. I am not looking for reverse tethering apps(because they dont work with built in Market App).
Is there any way i can do that?
I can do flashing and have superuser installed(rooted).
Thanks for your help! all i know is only you can help.
