Galaxy s extended batteries - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

Hello
I have had the galaxy s for about 2 months I like it but the battery dies out quickly. I want to buy a new extended battery but i don't know which one can someone recommend a good cheap battery please i found this on eBay but i don't know weather i should buy it
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Accessory-2...290893?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item416d663c4d

The Samsung 1800mah battery will fit this phone. I used to use that and the andida 2300 mah battery and I never had to worry about having a dead phone

I should have bought the Andida one but i bought the one 2000mah one

I bought a 3500mAh from eBay. The actual battery says that it is a replacement for an i9000. It includes a new back that is for the t959 series. A gel/silicon case stretches over the case. The battery in the case was a little loose, so I placed a business card in there like I did for my old blackberry.
eBay item number - 230845639488

I've tested the Andida "2800 mAh" battery and don't believe that it has significantly more capacity than the 1800 mAh ones out there. It's a fine battery, but I wouldn't have any regrets with buying an 1800 mAh OEM. Anything in the same form factor as the OEM battery isn't going to have significantly more capacity than 1800 mAh. There is some basic physics/chemistry involved that reinforces "If it sounds too good to be true..."

Well ima test the 2000 mah battery. It comes with two so I'm pretty Much satisfied

2 stock batteries together

Hi, after reading the post that says the majority of batteries in ebay are crap (less than 80% of the mah indicated) i've been thinking of do it by myself and put together 2 stock batteries (or 2 armani batteries) which will give to me 3000 real mah or 3300 real mah, anyone has done it? (is it possible?)
Will I find a back case with the double battery thickness?
sorry for my english.
Thanks in advance.
how about trying the 2700 battery?
I have the momax battery and it is excellent. But I have always wondered if you join 2 or even 3 stock batteries together would it be safe and usable, I don't know enough about batteries to risk doing this, but if anyone has any knowledge please share.
I've ordered a 3000mah battery from a website that sells upgrade batteries for a variety of devices, it comes with an extended cover. free shipping all over the world, dunno if I am allowed to post it here but pm me if you want the address
Yes please do post the address

Its there any battery higher than 1500mah but thats looks exacly the same when it comes to thickness?? Its just that I dont like that fat battery with the horrible backcase =\

Thanks, but ordered from ebay instead, much cheaper for the same thing.

NOPE Try momax nice design
Get the 2700mAh battery from momax. It's a good battery and comes with a nice back cover and slip case.
I would caution against meddling with batteries unless you really know what you are doing. An exploding battery is not fun.
I bought a 3500mAh battery from ebay, and so far so good. I'm not sure if its really 3500, but it seems to last pretty long. At the end of a day, I usually used to have about 30% left on my original battery, but on this baby, I still have at least 50-60% left. That's pretty good.
Assuming the battery readings are correct, that would put the ebay battery at twice the capacity ( 3000 mAh ), not 3500mAh. But for so little money, who cares ?
I use the 5A PortaPow USB rechargeable battery. Plug it in and it recharges the phone, or plug it in and use it while using the phone.
Saves any case mods. Still got a sleek galaxy S , and a little baggie with a 5A battery in when needed. It's about the same size as an iPod classic, and means I can GPS for hours and hours when out and about. 2 and a bit hours and it's flat on a 1.5A stock battery.
So with a PortaPow and a stock battery I've got 6.5A to resource.
ok, now i have a stock 1500mah, armani 1650mah, and the momax 2700mah (all the things are very cheap so.. jeje).
the momax 2700 is fine, i'm not really sure that this is real 2700mah but the case is nice.
I was interested in this cause if i can put together 2 1650 they will bring me real 3300mah that maybe is the best battery life you can get for this phone.
the 3500mah in reality it is two 1200mah batteries together, (you can find more info in this forum).
So, if they can put together 1200mah why not the 1650mah?.
I have tried the space in the momax case, and the 1500+1650 batterys doesnt fit, only for 1 millimeter (or less) but doesnt fit.

For normal batteries yes it would work, just. You don't get double the life though because the batteries would discharge each other while sitting idle.
However it doesn't work with Lithium batteries such as the ones in phones. These are not simple batteries, but rather lithium cells, a small amount of circuitry and an extra third terminal to talk to the phone's battery management chip. Over discharging, or over charging lithium batteries can cause explosions and the electronics protect against that. Because of these you can't simply hook them up in parallel, you need a battery with physically more cells (higher mAh number.)
Thanks garbz, well explained
so.. i will keep in my phone the momax and forget this thread xD

Yes, there is a 1650mAh battery made for Giorgio Armani Galaxy S (which is known to be compatible with standard Galaxy S). Thats as high as you can go without adding extra bulk. You might find batteries rated even higher on eBay, but those are fake values.
Or you know... you could just use the two batteries sequentially, not blow up your phone, and not have a cinder block back case.

This is an original Samsung battery. The Armani Galaxy S 1650mAh battery is also used for Samsung Galaxy S variant I9003. So it should be available now. I used it now for a while with my I9000.
Hi will the i9003 battery work in i9000?

Yes, but not by much... momax just released one with 1700mAh, which goes along fine with the stock back cover.

are 3000mAh batteries any good?

there are a lot of 3000mAh batteries on ebay... that are not expensive.. are they any good? how much more battery life will i get?
anyone has tried one of those 3000mah batteries?
EBay ones tend to be crap. Mugen s 3200mah is good and does the job reliabiy
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium App
Mugen is pretty expensive.. any other cheaper but good brand/model?
i am using mugen 3200, i will score it 8.5/10, the bad points are the case very loose and blocked flash light in a certain degree.
Nothing some blutack wont fix. And no I don't know. There's a post further down documenting some people's experiances with ebay if you want to look for it
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA Premium App
Well if you willing to sacrifice your phone's look go ahead and try it, but it will get very ugly with that thickness...

Where can i buy one of those? i never seen such a big battery.
Remember you'll always get what you pay for. If you want a second battery buy an orginal one.
thx for all your advices
i finally opted for an oem battery for desire/nexus one
I'm got the 3200mAh from saido. It's a great battery and worth its price!

The "ebay" batteries tends to have smaller capacity than announced.

(can't post links)
Exacly...anything over original 1400 is bs in my opinion. I've heard about 3000mAh for HTC Evo but that battery is much bigger in size and require custom back case.
i got myself a 3200mAh mugen battery from the states best thing i ever did lasting for 5 days now on one charge
I bought a 3000mAh Extended Battery from the seller.

what rom are you on when you have 5 days duration ?
It's great if you want your battery to last days without charge but terrible if you want a nice sleak phone due to the fact that the 3200amh batteries add extra thickness to the phone which really makes it look ugly in my opinion. Mugen power batteries are really good though they are expensive. I'd be weary about buying from eBay because although they may be cheaper, a lot of the times they're not the capacity stated and have bad quality lithium ions that simply don't hold a charge!
Can I buy it in Ukraine? Somebody know?
I have a 3000mAh battery, but the only way I can get a full charge is with an external charger.
Then I can get between 3-4days from 1 charge.
Charging the 3000mAh in my phone, doesn't seem to last any longer than a standard battery.

The charge and batteries

are there any samsung devices that have the same size battery as the charge as far as physical size?
im using the samsung continuum battery as a backup for my charge works great only 100 mAh less
need more mah.
perhaps an extended battery?
yes. But, something in the samsung family that fits the charge, that is a few more mah. Such as with tge fascinate the epic touch 4g 1800 mah battery fits the fascinate.
Mugen Power makes one that has 200 more mah but it's $45. Kind if a ripoff. You can get 2 regular batteries plus a charger for like $15.

A stock Sammy 1800 would be great¡! I had the Mugen before and it was worse than my 1500 Continuum battery .

Too thick. Looking for something that fits with stock battery cover. Also Samsung would be nice as the China knockoffs seem worse than the 1600.
Sent from my mobile office.
I've searched around and haven't found anything. Samsung has to have a 1800 for some phone that will match up to the charge.

Best extended Battery for our phone

Im using a 1800mah evo 3d battery, its good but i want the best. Any suggestions?
Sent from my myTouch_4G_Slide using XDA
most seem to rank the available batteries as:
good = anker 1900 mAh $15-$17 ($30 for two, $17 for single)
better = mugen 1800 mAh $45
best = mugen 3600 mAh, $99 (includes replacement battery door)
if you are price sensitive the anker may be the best bet, it is a solid improvement over stock, and the mugen 1800 may not be $30 more value. For maximum battery life (twice as long), the mugen 3600 is the best bet if you can afford it and dont mind are somewhat larger phone, and not being able to use some cases.

you're better off with the mugen, trust me
If you can afford it, buy the 3600mAh Mugen. If not, buy the 1800mAh Anker two-pack.
Mugen. Its more expensive for a good reason. You're buying quality. Do you really want 2 batteries and have to be switching batteries midday? I use a mugen slim and it lasts me 12-14 hours with regular use, including Groupme all day since my job requires me to use it constantly.

I have one, from Dealerextreme though. It is surely not a real 3500 mAh one. PolarCell's 1800 mAh lasts longer than that.

I think it's a bit dangerous to use a so powerful battery pack... if some water falls on it you are in trouble (personal experience)
I got one of these wonderful Raikko 5200 mAh external USB Chargers.(Just google it). They are not very cheap, but they work with all my devices and have a huge capactiy.
I have been using those ebay 3500 mA batteries for about a year with no issues. Only problem was the plastic cover they sent with some, tends to break easly and doesn't fit so good, then I had to add some tape between battery and plastic door for the battery doesn't move inside. Performance is good, usually last about 3 days depending of usage.

My experience with a high capacity battery is not so good.
I bought a year ago a Mugen 3200 mAh batt. Now after 1 year it charges very quick and discharges very quick. My original 1500 mAh batt now lasts longer.

The most replys on ebay to the dealer for the big battery are not so good.
You can find it on Amazon too and some more no good news from the buyer.
I think best choice not to buy it.
Kind regards dekker
I still believe in 1500 mAh original battery from our SGS, even bought one when my first original battery
