Latest Motorola Razr M camera port and it works with our phone. It actually takes good 1080p recording, and fairly decent photos, try it out for yourself!!

For me? Kind of works but mostly does not. Touch to focus video function is nice. but when it fails... Crashed so hard I had to take the battery out.

Tried it...the focus makes my phone freeze and the camera is still upside down. Going back to defcomg r2 arccamera. ^_^ the shutter speed is amazing. Thanks defcomg

Hi guys finally back and front camera is working and video call is going awesome on the firmware
DDKp2/ddkp3 (rooted) simply install the patched skype and update it !!!! Enjoy !!

And even if there isn't, wouldn't it mean installing market one itself when we update?
Market Skype will only update apk not Skype library files so,new market Skype would be running old patched library files!
If there is a further problem send me your kenral and rom details!

if you want a tested and working version of skype for 9003 just googling a file called Skypev13ogl.apk
this is not last version but the one before, and this has a patch for rotating issue.

Yes, I have tested between my i9003 and a iPhone 3GS. And the guy with the iPhone can see me. Not tested yet with a computer, but I think it doesn't change.

I have used that. Atleast the video calling worked for me unlike others, but had rotating issue.
And now if i'm trying to use it, it fcs and then wifi stops working. Wifi error. Same with market skype.
Only this skype works, though the caller cant see my video

porting camera is a bit difficult coz it requires new library compiling in which i m a noob so i need help in that regard!!!!
I'm sure you are not noob. you are potencialy a developer.your works say this.

Really good work buddy. U are learning very fast. Keep it up! Mabye copying other 2.3.7 libs like Phonandroid [MIUI] or SlimCM7 of TheFrankenstain or my CyanoCleanMod... copy libs and Camera.apk and test if it works or not
I have installed CM10 Alpha 4 But when i have installed Tango Application and in video call the camera constantly rotates horizontal and vertical............
I think its camera orientation problem in this custom ROM........
So please anyone halp me to fix this problem as soon as possible...........

The problem is inside the Camera Hal. Its not fixable. If you frequently use front camera, suggestion go back to Gingerbread. You may want to wait until kernel 3.X complete if you want to use CM10 without bugs.

I am thinking of making a new Rom for Xperia L and I would like to see what I can do for you. However, I am doing a little survey before I start developing the Rom. Kindly tell me what do you need in a ROM.
The rom will be build from source of 4.1.2 most probably but it's not set to stone yet.
Do you want to see specific softwares or specific modification or anything ? If I can do that, I will happy to do that for you all.

For a rom to be built from source, device tree is most important which is not ready yet for XL. So how you are going to make one and add apps or 'Softwares' to it?
if you are planing to build from source i would realllllllllly apreciate cyanogenmod/paranoid android.
sorry to say but half my might is made up that you are going to churn out another themed stock rom.

I have just bought the phone and I didnot know about the device tree isnot available yet. I guess than I will have to wait for nodes and binaries.

I guess for the moment I might just try to tweak stock rom a bit

also for sources you could look at htc one sv which has 1080p playback and recording with the same SOC model msm8230.

Honestly I do not knowabout that. If it is based on stock Rom, bootloader wouldnot be a problem but if its made from source, it could be hard.

I do not plan on Samsung Launcher or anything like that. More like vanilla android or little modifications. That kind of stuf

Hey, could you also try increasing multitouch sensitivity? It's kinda annoying to not be able to pinch to zoom properly.

I did some tests on touch sensitivity and i can zoom fine if the fingers are pinched in a diagonal direction but I do not get a good zoom if its pinched vertically. Are you having the same issues?
I am not sure if this has anything to do with missing gyroscope or software till yet but I am working on it. I will run more tests and update you all

downloading the Rom... will check and edit the post here of my findings
Flashed the Rom without Gapps, ROM is Fast and Smooth, Camera doesnt work, no FC on the Rom yet, Reverting back to SVHD.... All the best...

Sorry man, I really wish I could work on the rom still, but the rest of the issues would require some more in-depth trouble-shooting. In order to do that I'd need to have a device to work with.
