Hi there
I am thinking of making a new Rom for Xperia L and I would like to see what I can do for you. However, I am doing a little survey before I start developing the Rom. Kindly tell me what do you need in a ROM.
The rom will be build from source of 4.1.2 most probably but it's not set to stone yet.
Do you want to see specific softwares or specific modification or anything ? If I can do that, I will happy to do that for you all.
What do you like to see in the ROM, write your requests!

For a rom to be built from source, device tree is most important which is not ready yet for XL. So how you are going to make one and add apps or 'Softwares' to it?
if you are planing to build from source i would realllllllllly apreciate cyanogenmod/paranoid android.
sorry to say but half my might is made up that you are going to churn out another themed stock rom.

I have just bought the phone and I didnot know about the device tree isnot available yet. I guess than I will have to wait for nodes and binaries.

Well, I said source so I meant SOURCE.
I was thinking of making my own ROMS for different devices. That's all
I guess for the moment I might just try to tweak stock rom a bit

my apologies but a lot of guys say from source but simply cook new ones.Hence my suspicion .
also for sources you could look at htc one sv which has 1080p playback and recording with the same SOC model msm8230.

Honestly I do not knowabout that. If it is based on stock Rom, bootloader wouldnot be a problem but if its made from source, it could be hard.

Hey, could you also try increasing multitouch sensitivity? It's kinda annoying to not be able to pinch to zoom properly.

I did some tests on touch sensitivity and i can zoom fine if the fingers are pinched in a diagonal direction but I do not get a good zoom if its pinched vertically. Are you having the same issues?
I am not sure if this has anything to do with missing gyroscope or software till yet but I am working on it. I will run more tests and update you all

Hey, I know you didn't know but we already had this idea- it's called ProjectStock4.0, a rom-project features a lot of TW stuff, using tw framework, etc.
don't think it's quite simple, Juhan Jufri, sgoo and my little self are working over months to make this possible- to make a inofficial "samsung"like ICS update for our I9001.
I already made some Alpha's. currently Alpha3 is a dismiss, it seems that I broke some TW signatures incorrect.
please, i would appreciate you waitig a little time longer for our awesome rom. If you want to join our team if you have a bit of know how, I would recommend you to not hesistate contacting me. If you don't have the knowledge, you can still be a tester.
Porting and breaking the MMS and Contacts.apk signatures are the most difficult things in this project. I don't even know if it's possible... Anyway, I'm trying and trying and trying over months and I will not stop

EDIT: PaWill's TW4 doesn't work correctly on our device. After a minute or so it doesn't display any Icons but scrolling works. I'm currently trying to fix it.

currently it doesn't have a thread on XDA, it's a mass conference on skype. It's really hard to comunicate cuz of the time difference. when I go to sleep, my partner wakes up.

Jaja yes i guess, i recommend Flow theme, its awesome,
Remember that we dont have stock JB apps, so not gonna theme phone, mms or stock blur apps,
Phone only theme the numbers and dial button
And if you are on Omars rom, we have stock message app so it gonna work
Sometimes the keyboard theme, some thime not
The pulldown statusbar bug its gonna fix it on next update

I updated cydia. Installed flow, selected it on winterboard and pressed restart. Thats the moment when it starts bootlooping. Im on Omars 28 may ROM. I will flash it again after work and see if it works.

Got Xperia Tablet Z, (SGP321), rooted, then flashed CM10.1. Now missing a decent app to use the inbuilt IR blaster. The one that came with the tab looked pretty simple but worked, so wondering if someone could extract it out of the stock Sony rom.

There are remote apps on the Play Store that are supposed to work, I haven't tried them and don't know how good they are but there are a couple that are very very popular for the GS4 and our XZT.
As for the stock app, it will NOT work on CM10 because the app has to have the Sony framework to work and that is missing on CM10. Its the same reason Touchwiz apps won't work on AOSP Roms.
If you really want to try it anyway, and can't get it to install normally, just drop it in System/App with Root Explorer and reboot (Yes you have to be rooted).

Thanks a lot that apk solved my problem too,( somehow the app has been deleted from my phone so only installing the IrRemote.apk was enough for me)

With what we know right now..No, not a chance. But arroyo (if I'm not mistaken) mentioned there were some cases where people without gyroscope emulated it using accelometer and magnetic sensor (we do have both of those) so there could be a chance for photosphere to work IF someone from here could make a kernel for for our device which can emulate gyroscope.

But arroyo (if I'm not mistaken) mentioned there were some cases where people without gyroscope emulated it using accelometer and magnetic sensor (we do have both of those) so there could be a chance for photosphere to work IF someone from here could make a kernel for for our device which can emulate gyroscope.

Actually, gyroscope is physical feature and couldn't be implemented in kernel. (I asked some devs)
But we dont know if someone could modify kernel to emulate gyroscope. Maybe someone should give it a try.

It takes (almost) 360 degree and more of a place you want. I find it nice to have but really hard to use, the result isn't really as I expected, but I'm probably doing it wrong though.

I got info from galaxy w thread about photosphere working on huawei ascend g300 that dont have gyroscope in its hardware.

Nonetheless, you can try it in Alpha 7 as well. Maybe kernel 3.0 supports it but kernel 3.4 does not.

Do you know what might have happened to my XL? I was able to update Slimkat from 4.4.2 to 4.4.3, but suddenly it doesn't want to connect to fastboot mode
