[Q] Does the Desire S support 5Ghz wifi ?

Hey,
I just want to ask if anyone has more info about the DS with 5Ghz wifi networks.
I tried to find my 5Ghz wifi but nothing appeared, I'm currently on ICE DS 4.4 .
According to the product sheet from Broadcom the bcm4329 should support 2,4Ghz and 5Ghz band.
Do I need an other firmware for it or doesn't the bcm4329 in the DS simply support it?
I've also tried this firmware mentioned in this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31045117&postcount=605)

I am looking to buy a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 3G for use at home (United States) and international travel.
A few questions I haven’t been able to find confirmation on:
Does the in P5100 have an IR Blaster?
Will the stock ROM create WIFI hotspots?
Any notable differences in features between the P5100 and P5113 (besides 3G support)?
Will the 3G work on US networks?
- I have been told it will not work on T-mobile, is that true?
- What pay-as-you go plans are available here (US)?
- What about in the UK?

No 5100 does not have ir blaster only 5113
Yes stock rom can create wifi hotspot from setting and it connects other devices to your 3g network from your tab
5100 international version no ir blaster but 3g and telephony and sms (gsm not cdma) (complete bigggg phone and 3g and mobile internet)
5113 ir blaster with peel app to operate the ir blaster but wifi only no phone or sms functions
I do not live in us but i think any carrier which work as gsm not cdma , the tab telephony and sms and 3g will work, i think as at&t not verizon

[Q] Wireless network monitor mode with Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 chipset?

Does anyone know if its possible to enter wireless network monitor mode with the specified chipset? I've read about being able to enter monitor mode with the galaxy s3 but it was with international variants. The US version has a different chipset. I am aware of bcmon.apk but its only compatable with the international variants of the galaxy s3. Is it even possible?

[Q] Connecting Galaxy S2 HD LTE SHV E120S via ethernet/LAN

Hello, I have a rooted Galaxy S2 HD LTE SHV E120S. I want to connect it to the net via LAN, ie by using an otg cable and a usb lan adapter. Does Cyanogenmod have the necessary drivers, etc. to enable this? If so, would anyone know of a compatible usb lan adapter? If there are any other phones (not tablets) which can be connected to the LAN, please do let me know.
