PSgroove Android port.
I'm itching to see this in action.
let the torrent fire begin
Aha! This'll be handy indeed! Thanks for the link!
There is a version voor the N900 now, hope someone can make an android port:
http://kakaroto.homelinux.net/2010/...k-ps3-with-n900-worked-finished-and-released/
Googlecache:
http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...k-ps3-with-n900-worked-finished-and-released/
and
http://planet.gnome.org/
this will be the iphone killer
100% working in n900
see the video
http://kakaroto.homelinux.net/
apperently the iphone one is almost done and yet no one has started on the x10 yet
Iphone & pod will only work on linux as the link above showed..
Plus.. ain't x10 Android too? Also using the Snapdragon like N1 & Co.. so why wouldn't it work on the x10? I thought the problems where just porting to Samsung devices as they're different?
Yeahyippie yeha!
This is great! Hope they finish it soon. I've been waiting forever for homebrew on ps3!

i think you're like 3 months behind on this one.. this hole has been fixed in new ps3 updates, so you might only use this on selected models if you keep it off internet and dont want to use 3D bluray or other new functions..

3 months isn't much compared to waiting forever
Too bad they fixed it though I didnt know of anything like this and just updated away every time. (Last time I was looking for PS3 hacks was when the GeoHot commotion ended ^^; )
Hello to all the forumers.
First of all ,excuse my English, but I'm Italian and I didn't spoke it since a long time.
I'm asking if it is a good choice to exchange a 1-month-old Motorola Defy (with android 2.1 eclair) for an Omnia 7 phone.
I like my Defy, but the camera is very crap.
Can you make a suggestion?
Thanks in advice!
No, because you can flash 2.2 and now CyanogenMod7 (android 2.3.3) on your Defy.
I have CM7 and it's unbelievable fast. I have a Quadrant Score of [email protected]
At the moment: Windows 7 is crap
But it look here
http://www.compare-cellphones.org/Samsung-Omnia-7-vs-Motorola-DEFY
(You can overclock the Defy's Processor, the Omnia is not able to do this)
Edit: On 2.2 and 2.3.3 the Camera-Quality is way better than on 2.1
But I know that Cyanogenmod 7 it's unstable for the defy.
But the first of the defects it's that I am Italian and I don't know if the phone will use my Language.
I use the voice call function, but the recognition on my Defy it's imprecise and I noticed that WP7 it's more smart on this function.
I don't want to stay by windows or android side, I want a functional phone without having to hacking it.
Thanks for the response..

It is stable, but you must root it.. If you will not ok, take the Omnia but you won't be happy...Ask the person, if you can test it for 1 day.
but this page
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033654
tell that it's unstable...
what a mess...

That's the only page for CM7 on Defy Where can you read that it is unstable?
The only things that don't work are aGPS and FM-Radio but they will be soon fixed.
Then, it's stable?
But I prefer to not modify the phone at all...

See my forum for the TeamLeader 1.2 rom, its just a bit custom from the stock rom but pretty stable.

I think we need a forum for this wonderful phone even if the number of users still aren't a lot!
This phone is really wonderful
Vote for the idea!
Come on....
i just dont understand why we still dont have a forum for the most powerful phone on market today, already months waiting for it there is some customized rom out there, and in XDA nothing. we need a forum for our "beast" here to speed-up things.
hope administrator can give us some space here...
we need our forum here 4.65-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1 GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p HD recording.
I'd like to add my voice to this request.
I've just received this great little phone, fired it up and it's amazing...
sticking with mostly stock things for now (other than my usual apps) and since it's mostly in Korean.. I'd LOVE some roms for it... ICS would be lovely

I'm using this phone, too. The phone is really great.
It's very difficult too find roms and howtos about this phone.
I hope there will be a forum for this phone.

im i agree with you peaple^^ i just bought this phone yesterday~ and is amazing!!! but i really want to try others custom rooms~
I agree. I bought the non HD version but it is just a sweet (model SHV-E110S) and I woudl love some customization. Hell Id even pay for some. I am by no means a phone expert but I am running gingerbread FB13 on it and if someone needs a copy of it and can point me in the direction of how to pull from phone or where Kies stored it on my computer id happily send it.
Mike
P.S how about an Icon for beer....way off subject I know
Yes, we really need a forum for that kind of phone !
Hey guys, as the proud owner of a SG s2HD LTE. I would like to let you other guys know you can run most of the app's that the android market says are "incompatible". The way to do this is to install Snappz Market, find games like Order and Chaos HD and install (all free on this market), Order and Chaos HD runs very well, the phone does an incredible job running all games!
we really need a forum special for our S II HD LTE
+1 vote here
+1 Vote!! Really appreciate if the Mods can release us spare space...

+1 vote... hope modders out there will spare some of there time to discover the potential of this very interesting phone. Much better than the SGS II i9100.

Hey guys
I'm from outside the US and looking for a nice tablet for under $200 (yay 3rd-world-country currency restrictions ). Now, I've had an old HTC Magic, then a Motorola Defy and now a ZTE V970M. They're all great phones, with lots of development and nice features, and I'm looking for a tablet that I can get from Amazon with the same or similar features.
Basically, I'm looking for this:
A tablet that is small (7" is enough, I wouldn't mind 10" though) with a capacitive screen (or responsive enough, anyways) with some development other than the stock ROM and Android 4.0+, since I love to make ROMs for android devices. Also, I'm planning to use it to connect it to HDMI TVs, so an HDMI output would be a big bonus. I would also try to use it as a laptop so allowing connectivity to any of those case-with-keyboard things (through bluetooth or USB) is a need. I don't care much for battery life, as long as it can be rooted I can work my way around to make it save battery like hell
Here are the options I've looked at:
Around 180$ & 168$ respectively: Galaxy Tab 2 ( http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1368472318&sr=1-1 ) and Galaxy Tab Plus ( http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...f=sr_1_19?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1368472318&sr=1-19 ) but they don't have HDMI output, not even with an external converter, I was wondering if that's true?
119$: The Coby MID7065-8 ( http://www.amazon.com/Coby-7-Inch-A...ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1368472318&sr=1-4 ) looks good but... it's Coby :/ and also, it doesn't seem to have a CyanogenMod-compatible CPU, and I don't wanna be locked to ICS forever.
165$: The Acer Iconia looks *awesome* ( http://www.amazon.com/Acer-A500-10S...f=sr_1_22?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1368472318&sr=1-22 ) but it's Android 3.0, is it a good buy if I can upgrade it to CM 10 or a stock 4.0-4.1-4.2 ?
174$: This Galaxy Tab SCH-i800 looks weird, is it any good? ( http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...f=sr_1_50?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1368472705&sr=1-50 )
104$!!!: This SANEI looks awesome too ( http://www.amazon.com/Android-Scree...f=sr_1_71?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1368472813&sr=1-71 ) but I wonder if I can upgrade it to more than ICS/JB ? it has a Cortex A9 and I've heard there's some compatible CM around for Cortex chips, so would it be a good buy?
$199: The Kindle Fire HD seems like a good $199 option ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=1555100222&pf_rd_i=507846 ) BUUUUUT... it's a reader, and I've had experiences with the B&N Nook Simple Touch that I don't wanna repeat, such as having a very locked firmware and not having all of the working features if I upgrade to CM or something similar :/
Any tips guys? I really need the advice, as I need to make a choice by tomorrow maximum
Thanks in advance!
- DARKGuy

Yeah but the Nexus 7 is from swappa actually I have to remove that option XD since it doesn't fit my tight time requirements
What about the iconia A500 though? I've seen it has better screen resolution, Tegra 2 and such, plus JB 4.2 judging by the subforum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1136
Acer does make good products and I guess for your needs it would work

Hi guys.So I`m thinking on buying my first Android mini PC .I`m mainly going to use it for playing games, YouTube,Facebook, surfing the Net and watching movies. So i want a good reliable quad-core - 2GB of ram (with a good GPU) TV Box (preferable) or a TV stick.
I`m thinking on buying the K-R42 (it looks perfect for my needs) but I`m scared of buying this thing because it just got released and has no reputation, and I`m waiting for the Bluetooth version. So has anybody bought this thing? How is your overall satisfaction with this device?Does it have issues?
So should i buy this device or some other device?
Please guys i need your help!
PS: English isnt my native language so if there are any spelling mistakes I`m sorry

Hi !
i've T428 stick computer and i can say it's a good android stick ! Quad core, 2 GB RAM... But some lags perhaps due to a bad rom or bas keyboard/Mouse !
Do you need to have 1080p video ?

Hi
I`think I`m going for the K-R42 the Bluetooth version is already on Presell and I don`t like the stick computers(i don`t know why but that`s the way it is)
I haven't heard anything bad about this device so I hope its a good one ...... I don`t have a TV that supports 1080p so I don`t need 1080p for now
PS: Thanks for the reply
The ROM for this apparently is being used by a dev at freaktab for fixing some of the video problems with other rk3188 devices, so it does seem pretty promising. I'm thinking about getting the Bluetooth version as well.
