I will take a guess that by USB you actually mean flash drive (FYI they actually are two different things thus the different names -,-). There is a couple in ebay if you search MicroUsb Flash drive but as the HOX needs a powered flash drive. Basicly it means unless you gave separate flash drive and power source with a Y cable or a MicroUsb flash drive with a built in power source which would be awesome but probably doesn't exist thus the simple answer to your question is No.

I know all this. I'm asking if there is a USB otg cable that is one piece instead of a long corded wire.

What I'm looking for is this otg
With no wire just plugs right in

I have done some searching and found out the sensation 4G won't work with a micro usb to hdmi cable to send video to a tv but when I Google if the sensation 4G can output video through the 3.5mm audio jack with an RCA adapter I only find sites that are selling RCA adapters or results regarding other phones, has any one actually tested their sensation 4G with an RCA adapter?
Use a MHL adapter, it'll work. I bought one from Tmo for $11.

Thanks for the answer, I'm glad to know at least that way works for sure, if the RCA adapter I have doesn't work on the Sensation when I get it this weekend then I'll just get an MHL adapter. I'll post if the RCA adapter works or not.

I see that on HTC hub you can download HTC DMB..
It asks for a dongle..
Is one availablefor the Sensation ????
did a search but found nothing new.. just old DMB/DAB tuners ??
Kinda like the idea of having TV on the go..
You didn't get a dongle with yours?
I had a dongle in my box. A dongle came inside my box.
Dude call HTC and demand your dongle. every box should have vine with one

Funny..
Any adults know the answer ?
DMB devices used to decode FTA digital TV and DAB .
Just wondering why I can only now download this new htc app ?
Flame away ... ;-)

Or maybe the dongle is buried very deeply in your box.

They're just trolling
Im running sense 3.5.
Its still available from htc hub along with a linkedin app for sense ?
Both install fine, but linkedin does not show up in apps or widgets..
Linkedin app includes Linkedin in Friendster, it's not a separate thing, took me a while to realise!

GOOD NEWS
Ok.. after some digging it looks like HTC are producing a TV tuner
Check out this video at 3.58

BAD NEWS
Just for the HTC Raider ??
We in Europe we are not lucky. Digital TV has DVB-T protocol
Although the HTC support and DVB-T for Europe in accessories who made it did crazy sales.
HTC Raider is one of the first released lte based 4g phone in my country.
Because of high demands of DMB on portable multimedia devices in my country, seems htc korea may include dmb dongle in raider package...
I don't have any dmb related things in my sensation package either.
EDIT: HTC Raider supports DMB, but the dongle not included. it sold separately. don't know usable for our sensation. maybe ask htc korea next week...
Has anyone managed to get an otg cable (host cable) and a flash drive to work with the one x?
What do i have to do?
I believe it is disabled out of the box. We need kernel source code to activate it.

ive seen a couple youtube videos claiming they've gotten it working, but dont provide instructions.
and it might be the tegra 3 version.

Probably. The kernel source for the tegra version is available, which would allow them to do it.
Yeah, unfortunately all the responses in this thread are correct. This is at the very top of my wish list so I'm watching the progress (or lack thereof) carefully.

Now that we all have an unlocked bootloader, host functionality should be added soon? or is their more work to be done?
All depends on HTC releasing source for att variant. In another post someone quoted an HTC rep as saying it would drop within the next few months at the latest.

We need the kernel source.
And next few months? Pssssshhhht! Aren't we supposed to get source code within 90 days of the release of the device?

Considering it only has 16gb and no sd slot, you would think ATT would have ay least given us USB host.
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA
Att wants us to store everything on the cloud. That way there's a chance we exceed our data plan caps and incur the additional fees. Bastards

Does anyone have a link for a good but cheap OTG USB cable? I would like to have one in case I ever have a need for one but I've never bought one before and when I searched it on ebay there were several. Thanks
Just reporting that the Tegra 3 version uses the Gingerbread kernel which doesn't have USB OTG at all. We're waiting on Nvidia to update their drivers for the SOC to have kernel 3.x.
What kernel version does the AT&T One X run?

And we think that may bring USB host support (w/ OTG cable)???
I got my cable on eBay and another on Amazon for less than $3 shipped, btw.
Thanks,
Billy
Now that Source is out (is it for Rogers?) im hoping for USB OTG! $25 bounty from me if done before Aug 3rd. Thx :victory:
I'll throw in $5 to the first kernel with otg support.
Noob question, what would you guys use USB otg for?

External storage say a usb flash drive. So it's like expanded storage for media and stuff.

All of them are.
Also USB-OTG isn't purely for external storage; you can hook other USB devices up to your phone, like gamepads.

Never hurts to give examples. There's always people who want specifics.
Don't forget about keyboards, mice, SDcard readers, HDDs, and so much more.

Just a simple question. Do any ROMs/kernels have both?
If not, do any have either?

Have you looked through the development forums? The OP for each rom/kernel will tell you what its got.
OTG is a kernel issue; most of them now have it.
I don't know about MHL.
I used a mhl today on Viper XL to watch Man With Iron Fist. Don't have a otg to test but people have reported that working as well.
