CREDITS: ethancottier for the settings for the tethering app, OliverG96 for the original lite GAPPS

I don't think the tethering app is really needed for a Lite GAPPS Zip as its not a Google App. Also you haven't included Google Talk, which is a primary Google App which a lot use.

This zip was made to fix the CM10. The tethering is broken so I have included an app with settings to work. Even for those that don`t use tethering this is a small app and enables the function on the phone. (it can be deleted by a user if they truly have a problem with it) Google Talk can be installed afterwards. This is designed to be small in size. The GAPPS is a lite GAPPS with the bare minimum to work. With Google Play users can install the apps they want. The sole purpose of this is to fix things in the ROM. Lack of free space and the absence of a functional tethering app are two things that are fixed by this. Unneeded apps are deleted and a small version of GAPPS is installed. A tethering app preset to work correctly is installed after. I could have even included the lgCamera which allows users to take pictures, but it doesn't run well so I did not.
***Update***
- The previous version has been posted. It is identical other than the tethering app which is not present in the first version.

Tether
Xuse me, which tether app did you include?
Ijust finished screwing with the install.... damn finally I have 2% free in system..Gosh(I used Your previous way to do it - lite gapps over a stripped rom), which I send many kudos for You for!!
Now its working fine finally, so I dont want to start all over the whole thing, I just want wifi tether to be working... I hope I can just install separately
Thanks in advance

[CM7][i9001][PORT][LEWA][MULTI-LANG]

I have ported LeWa based on CM7 fixed 2.1 and ported from LG GT540 Optimus, which results in a stable working rom.
My first public release was version 0.4, which was published in the other (AOSP) LeWa thread. Now I have created my own thread to release version 0.6, which is also based on CM7 fixed 2.1 but contains multi-language!
Known errors:
- CM7 bugs
- Default lockscreen appears very tiny (use thememanager to select a different lockscreen if this bothers you)
Troubleshooting:
- In case of no 3g data, make sure the APN settings are correct
- GPS: make sure you turn on 'internal gps' in settings
- Use fasterfix to select the right pool
- Use setdns to set dns ;-)
- In case first boot doesn't continue after bootanimation, hold the power button until the device reboots again, now it will boot.
Installation:
- Use CWM recovery
- Wipe data/Factory reset
- Wipe Cache
- Wipe Dalvik
- Install using CWM recovery
- Install Gapps trough CWM
Disclaimer:
- Your warranty is now void
- I am not responsible in any way for whatever may or may not happen to your device or anything else in the world.

I have an issue with gapps. When I access some apps on GPlay i get a not compatible error have flashed the latest gapps/wipe cache etc but the problem still persists. What could be the problem?
Thanks
could you give an example of such an app? I'll try it on my phone.
Also you could try these gapps, which I use myself, it will even give you video chat on google talk ;-)

[ROM][AROMA][CM7/CM9]Omicrom v1 for Vodafone 858 - 22.03.2013

This ROM is built for Vodafone 858/Huawei U8160 - It may work on other phones, I don't care.
ROOT + RECOVERY INSTALL HELP HERE...(my own method)
After I relese Omicrom v1.1, if after 24'hours I don't get 100 downloads in total, I pass this project to anyone else who has time developping. I am working for a cause and I need money donated...
The idea of the ROM is very simple:
Let's say you get bored of stock and root you phone and download a 100 mb JellyBean ROM, but you find it useless and download another 100 mb ICS ROM. You get bored of it and download, let's say MiUI. And so on. A lot of wasted time. I decided to make a package of ROMs so, in case you get bored of one, you simply reboot in recovery and flash the other one. But,my package isn't like downloading two .zips and putting them on SDcard, it's more than that. I took the best ROMs out there, tweaked them for more performance and added some options to flash along the ROMs (for the first release just launchers, more to come)
First off, I want to thanks the people/developers who made this possible:
-Brokn.Down for his CM7 base and for helping me out with the updater-script;
-ylynka, my friend, for testing the ROM as I don't have the phone avalaible;
-ReloadedICS for an awesome app;
-xda for hosting the thread;
What you get with the package:
-ultimate CM7 (JellyBean like);
-lite and lightning fast CM9;
-AROMA Installer (not many options though in the first release);
-Reloaded app for CM9 only (is still under testing, so please report any bug caused by this).
What is AROMA?
Find out more here.
AROMA may or may not work with our devices' touchscreen. Do not panic. Use the volume keys to navigate and the power button to select.
Why trusting my ROM?
It's hard for me, as its developer, to tell you because I can only say good things. Take 10 minutes of your life to test it and tell me why you trust it!
CM7 features:
~Hightly optimized rom for play games and multitask
~Beats Audio™ By Dr. Dre (ported from HTC One X+)
~Holo Launcher Optimized
~99% LDPI resized
~Opera Mini included for fast web browsing
~QuickPic instead of stock cm7 gallery
~Notes, Stopwatch, and other essential apps included
~U8160/80 device parts settings modded
CM7 not working:
-GPU (as the device has integrated GPU in CPU) - shouldn't be a problem
CM9 features:
2D acceleration (using copybit)
Audio
Bluetooth
Bluetooth tethering (?)
Camera - preview, picture taking, barcode scanner mode
GPS
Lights
Sensors
Telephony - calling, messaging, mobiledata
Touchscreen (multitouch)
USB Mass Storage
USB tethering
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi Hotspot
Swap
zRam (i.e. compcache)
CM9 not working:
Camcorder mode
OMX encoders/decoders (e.g. Youtube HQ video playback)
Bluetooth - when enabled, Bluetooth will cause the phone to constantly hold
a wake lock, preventing the phone from sleeping. Turn off Bluetooth when you don't need it.
FM Radio - no CM9 radio app yet exists, but libaudio has support included. This means that some third-party apps (e.g. Spirit FM) can work.
Gallery - after installing Google Apps, you will have two different Gallery apps installed. We need to use the legacy Gallery app, because the newer Gallery2 (and Google's version, GoogleGallery) requires OpenGL extensions that our phone cannot support. You are free to delete one of the duplicate applications from /system/app using CMFileManager (in root mode).
Trebuchet - after first installation, the default background wallpaper may be misaligned, leaving some black banding at the sides. This only occurs on first start, and the problem will correct itself on the next reboot / relaunch of Trebuchet.
USB tethering - the phone will freeze if you remove the cable during tethering. Make sure to disable tethering via the menu option manually when you want to remove the phone from the computer.
Aroma Options:
For CM7 - launchers only (more to come)
For CM9 - launchers, mini gapps and ReloadedICS (if you do not want to participate in telling me if app works or not and want a stable system, don't flash this while it is beta)
Downloads: v1 - http://d-h.st/mzq
v1.1 - http://d-h.st/TIt
Mount /system before installing anything!
After you install CM9 it may not boot for some reasons. Try flashing this fix, then reboot. If it still does not work, flash this fix and reboot.
Upcoming:
None.

Changelog:

App packages: None yet!

Known bugs for package:
The system chooser displays no text. (unknown fix)

I like hearing opinions from users, so if you have any idea how to make the systems or AROMA better please comment.

---Installing ChainFire3D Gaming MOD---
0. Before starting, you should know that I am not responsible for any damage of your phone. Before this process, take 10 minutes to backup the ROM in case the process goes wrong. This is still under testing, report any bugs, etc.
1.Download modded apk and plug-ins (mediafire) and unzip it in a folder on the root of SD-Card
2.Download Chainfire3D from PlayStore (the free version, you can support devs later)
3.Open Chainfire3D and install the driver, then reboot
4.After reboot, uninstall Chainfire3D.
5.Install modded apk provided, then open it (SU rights needed)
6.Then close Chainfire3D and open it again from PlayStore
7.Close it and quick reboot (with ROM Toolbox maybe)
8.After quick reboot you must reboot (normal)! After reboot you can't open Chainfire3D (that's normal) that's why you must reinstall Chainfire3D (modded apk)! Then you open Chainfire3D and install the plug-ins. After this you must fix the Market Settings then you must reboot
9. That’s it. You must tweak each game to work as you wish: smooth and HD.

Ok, I get it. The bootloop is caused by aroma which does not support the command to retouch the binaries. So I created the first fix with this command and the second fix to reset te build.prop, but as I can see it does not work. My friend told me that he booted ICS from aroma so I will ask him how he did it.
Anyway, tomorrow, 24th March, I will release a new version, with more options than release 1. So, just use CM7 till then. I will try to fix the bug!
Thanks for the feedback!

[root] or [twrp] LoS 13 cleaning guide

Hi Guys,
after every clean flash i'm doing some 'cleanings' to use even more juice from our phones.
So...
Let's start. I'm not author of those tweak. I just 'adjust' them for LoS 13 working on 'markw'. All credits go to authors.
1) Cleaning: Phronesis_Debloater_v3.zip - 2.2 MB
- flash via twrp or run from adb/terminal with root privilages
It will clean every mention app from spoiler! It's SAFE to do it.
http://pasted.co/4bba256f
2) Apps better/faster/cleaner that previously deleted:
Better camera app [twrp]: Fix-HTCCamera.zip - 30.7 MB
Faster keyboard:
[twrp] -Xperia_Keyboard_7.1.A.0.28_for_6+.zip - 9.8 MB
or
[apk] - Xperia_keyboard_v.8.0.A.0.50.apk - 9.6 MB
Open source calendar: ws.xsoh.etar_11.apk - 3.4 MB
3) Root [twrp]: SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip - 5.6 MB
4) ADBLOCKER: [twrp] MoaAB_ADBlocking_10202016_R1.zip - 1.1 MB
5) Xposed: [twrp] xposed-v87-sdk23-arm64.zip - 7.8 MB
[apk] XposedInstaller_3.1.1.apk - 2.8 MB
Backup is recommended before doing those things. Enjoy.
Replacement apps:
Thanks! it's really usefull, especially the debloater. Usually i'm using titanium backup as my system removing app. Great timesaver.

Have you ever use opengapps removal configuration? I always use that, it's so simple we can add/remove items as needed since it only edit the gapps-config.txt
Here are some references, it supposed to work on opengapps no matter which rom it use:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-1s/general/free-opengapps-t3504217
https://github.com/opengapps/opengapps/wiki/Advanced-Features-and-Options
PS: Place gapps-config.txt in the same place with your opengapps file

Thanks for info, but i'm not using gapps so it's useless for me.
Didn't work for me. I do clean flash ROM + Flash Gapps and then flash phronesis and then reboot. After bootup, I'm stuck because the keyboard didn't shown (maybe removed?). So I can't login google account or instal new keyboard.
I did try another method : flashing ROM + Gapps, reboot. After setup (and instal alternative keyboard) then reboot to recovery and flash phronesis > reboot. Google play service FC and when I check my app list (app drawer), nothing changed
PS: I use LOS 03/26

- Rooted Phone (SuperSU / Magisk)
- File Manager with Root Access. I use Root Explorer
- OpenGApps (arm64,7.0) (package: stock/super/aroma) - This will enable some Nexus/Pixel exclusive features and install Google Apps that are preloaded on Nexus/Pixel Devices including apps that usually can't be installed as normal apk such as below:
- Google Phone
- Google Contacts
- Google Camera (Slow Motion isn't working)
- Google Now Card (swipe to right)
- Google Search Pill
- "OK Google" voice detection
Instructions:
* First thing to do is to flash OpenGApps via TWRP
Link: http://opengapps.org
* Install a navbar overlay from below thread to get Stock Android (AOSP) NavBar or Pixel NavBar. Install it as normal apk.
Link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/themes/substratum-inversion-ui-overlay-overlays-t3604341
* Replace the stock Pixel Launcher (located at '/root/system/priv-app/NexusLauncherPrebuilt/NexusLauncherPrebuilt.apk') with this modded Launcher (link below). This launcher is basically the same as the stock Pixel Launcher with enabled features like round icons for app that supports it. More information on the original thread.
Link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/launcher3-pixel-launcher-features-t3620972
* Below are some apps i'm using that are supported:
- Google Photos
- Google Play Music
- Google Drive
- Google Calendar
- Google Calculator
- Google Keep
- Google News&Weather
- Google Playstore
- Google Drive
- Google Calendar
- Youtube
- Gmail
- XDA Labs
- XDA Feed
- Twitter
And now that you got all that is required to have a Pixel-like UI / Experience, it's time to make your ROM lightweight.
* Create a folder in your Internal Storage or SD Card named "system" and inside it, create folders "app" and "priv-app". This is to make sure that you can always revert back the changes that you'll make.
* Open your File Manager with root access and navigate to "root/system/app" or "root/system/priv-app"
This is where you can find all the installed apps in your system. In my case, what i do is "cut and paste" the whole folder to Internal Storage and then reboot to remove the bloat that i don't need.
I am currently on Renovate Ice ROM - r98 build (AQF7 FIRMWARE) and below is the list of what i have removed.

I am not getting any Force Closes / Crashes / Errors. Just make sure to reboot your device after cutting and pasting system apps to your Internal Storage.
When you realized that you needed something back, just copy and paste the whole folder to where you got them and set the correct permission.
For the folder, set the permission to "rwxr-xr-x".
For the apk inside, set the permission to "rw-r-r".
then reboot your device.
If you want to have an updated google apps as soon as it becomes available, you may download latest apks at apkmirror website then replace existing apk in the system, set the correct permission, and reboot. I've done it to almost all google apps without any issue.
I will try to update this thread to include all apps that can be removed based on stock firmware that's freshly installed.

Sweet! Could you please provide the applock apk. Thanks

Sweet, I've actually a similar setup, except I'm just freezing apps and didn't bother flashing Gapps.
Also I'd recommend modifying key layout and use ASSIST for the key function. Having Google assistant on bixby button is dope !

Yes. I am aware of that but i don't really need it as i am having a great battery life and performace. Also, it can easily be installed back in less than a minute if i want to.

I am Stock but rooted ROM, tried to flash Super GAPPS but its failed throwing ERROR 70 telling that GAPPS are already installed but in fact I haven't. Is this could be limitation due to STOCK ROM?

I am always getting that message even with custom roms but it always proceed anyway. I also have tried flashing gapps on stock rooted rom successfully before on my S8. Maybe your gapps is corrupt or not fully downloaded.

I have tried again flashing newly downloaded gapps file but again same error. The message thrown is "insufficient storage space available in system partition. You may want to use a smaller Open GApps package or consider removing some apps using gapps-config."

You can. Download shortcutter, grant it necessary permissions. Add a battery tile from shortcutter to the quick settings and anytime you click on it, it takes you to the battery stats. I have also disabled device manager.

[ARM64][GApps][1st Feb 19][8.1.0/9.0]After Flash 4.0/NikGApps

Hi Everyone,
Okay, Let's come to the point.
We all flash Roms on frequent basis. After we flash any Rom, we flash Gapps, our favorite Kernel, Magisk (to root) and Favorite fonts, bootanimations, ringtones, apps like Launchers, File Managers, etc and many times we delete the bloatware when we never use them.
Having to flash all these files, we end up maintaining several zip files in several directories of our phone. Many times we get confused with the order of execution and end up messing things.
This starts to become a headache when you have to look for each file and follow a proper order. Especially when you're a flashaholic like me.
Here, with the help of my tool and Aroma Installer. I present you my After Flash zip which I use to flash everything from a single zip after I flash a rom.
Be it Kernel or Magisk, fonts or bootanimations, Everything in one zip. Exciting. Isn't it?
What it includes?
Bare minimum (and latest version of) google apps to run play store.
Facelock and Google Camera (with Google Lens and Portrait mode support)
Magisk to root
7 mido kernels to choose from
Android Boot animation (will add more as per user requests)
Google Sans font, Made Evolved Font (will add more as per user requests)
Several Ringtones and Notification tones (the ones I like)
Best Chosen System apps
Choice of deleting several bloatware (those we don't normally use)
Reset Password in recovery when system fails to recognize the fingerprint/password
Addon.d support (this will preserve the installation of files that you selected in aroma across multiple roms)
If you like the idea kindly press 'Submit to Xda Portal'. If nothing, that'll encourage me somewhat. Thanks!
Note:-
"Core" Gapps include minimum apps required to run playstore
"Basic" Gapps include Core + Google Camera + Facelock
"Full" Gapps include Basic + few more google apps which we use in day to day life
Packages starting with "AF" contains Gapps, Kernels, Magisk, etc files
Can't wait to check it out? Here ->
Download
After Flash
NikGapps
Instructions
Flash the Rom and Flash the zip
Be careful while choosing include/exclude in aroma installer.
Before you download, check the screenshots in #2 post.
Suggestions to add/remove files will be encouraged
Happy Flashing!

Yup, if people find it useful, I'll release pie gapps soon. Everything else from the package works on pie anyway, except for gapps.

How to uninstall?

For Kernel, if choose include more than one. What kernel be installed? Sorry for bad english,, btw nice job! Wait for update :fingers-crossed:

Actually the screenshot in post #2 shows options to flash multiple kernels, when I tried that myself, I ended up flashing all the kernels one after the other and the last one was flashed eventually.
This is not right so I made changes in my tool to only allow 1 kernel to be flashed.
Flash the zip, you would only be able to choose one kernel at a time. No include/exclude options.
I'll update the screenshot in #2 post later on.

If you wish to be able to uninstall what you installed, uncheck when you are on addon.d screen, that'll not preserve your changes when you will flash the ROM again.
Flash the ROM again, that will Uninstall everything.
I'll give it a shot!
