Screwed up rooting on HTC One X, now stuck - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I was trying to root my htc one x through this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1709424 and after it says it failed it wont load now, the screen just stays there without loading anything. Im scared ****less right now, anyone got any idea what to do??
I was sure my HTC's firmware version was 1.85, since the root said it only worked with 1.85 firmware. The first time the root failed then i set the date 2 days later like the guide said. and tried it again and it failed again only this time after it rebooted it was stuck saying "loading" on a black page without showing the actual tabs, it would sometimes show wallpaper but nothing else. I can use the notification bar/toggle but Its very slow, i can also connect it throught the pc like normal in disk drive, charger, etc. Also, i've tried to open the settings app from the notification bar but it auto crashes, even thought avast antivirus is shown running in the toggle and i can open other apps throught the antivirus, like facebook.. It also said it was in safe mode before, in case that info helps in anyways.
Edit: As area51avenger pointed out, the second paragraph was a bit of a mess so i edited it to make it a clearer, sorry about the crappy writing but im kind of panicking here.

I read your second paragraph about 5 times and I'm not sure what you mean

yes but many had problems and had to use the manual method.
If you still have troubles do a factory reset through stock recovery first.

First boot into the recovery mode. If you don't know what recovery mode is, you better make a search.
Once you're in the recovery mode, do a factory reset. Make sure you don't have anything important on the phone.
I hope it helps.

When trying to upgrade to the sprint stock system update 2.31.651 my phone just goes off comes on and just sits the four hours on the htc white screen...What should I do?
1. Ask Sprint, because this is something to do with the "official" software release
2. Learn to read
3. Remember - this is not your helpdesk
4. Most important - Read (again) and post in the right forum

Try To Turn Off Your Phone, Pull The Battery Out, Put It Back In...
Then.... Power Your Phone
Back On....
"Holding The Volume-Down-Button"
Once On....
You Should See The "Hboot-Menu" Where You "SHOULD"?? Be Able To Use the "Volume-Up-Button"
To Select The "Fastboot-Menu"
Where You Can "TRY" To Perform A "Hard-Reset/Factory-Reset" By Pressing The "Menu-Button"!!
*NOTE*
Everything Will Be Erased,
Except For What On The SDCard!!
Hopefully This'll Work??
Good-Luck!!

If all else fails you're most likely going to have to run the ruu which will restore your phone to factory.

My Verizon Galaxy S3 had been stuck at the Verizon boot screen. Booted into recovery mode, reset the data, restarted, and, after about 10 seconds of hanging it went ahead and booted. Thanks!
I should follow up.
I did the same finally. reset my data despite my fear. My SD card data was left unharmed so i was able to use the rom on there to load and it worked like a charm.
Again my apps were removed and system settings were all gone but that is what it takes to load the ROM.
On a separate note i went from ICS to CM 10.0, i am running the Apex Launcher and i cant express how much i like it better than the stock ROM. there are a few things that hang and crash but for the most part it is worth the improvements.

need stock rom!

Hey after searching for hours I still have yet to find a stock "unrooted" ROM for the inspire. Every link leads to a faulty page or adware download. My phone is completey locked from too many trys on the slide unlock and i don't remember the gmail unlock it. I've tried to do the vol down to get into factory reset but for some reason it won't work as many times as ive tried it. So can someone please help me with a link so I can manually flash my phone from my pc thanks

[Q] Houston, boy do I have a problem!

Just rooted my new SGS3 using New Root Method Released for Verizon’s Galaxy S3, No Odin Required. i did the data & kelvic wipe then install Clean Rom 5.0. All progressed without a hitch. Even backed up with CWM prior to flash.
I rebooted into the new rom and got this: System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless... rebooted several time with same result.
What can I do now? Thanks for your help.
Just a wild guess, but me thinks your bootloader is still locked! But I'm not sure that will even apply because I rooted my device before unlocking the bootloader. But I rooted my device via ODIN first.
You can try EZ-Unlock via the Market. The GUI is still very buggy and will show the status as unknown but the internal workings of the app works good.
You got nothin to loose in trying. Go back to stock and give it another whirl after you've unlocked the bootloader.
Of that fails then I would suggest using the tried and true method..ODIN.
G'luck!
yup your bootloader is still locked
check the downloads thread and use version 1.2.
That means your boatloader is locked. You now must Odin back to stock and start over. Droid style has a guide stickied in the development thread. Follow section 6 of it.
Next time use ez unlock version 1.2 to unlock you boatloader.

I should have backed it up before attempting it, I know I know lol can anyone shed some light on how to update a flashed phone as well as how to root it. I could really use the help
Also after I messed up the boost flash I paniced and flashed a sprint kernel hoping this would fix the problem. Since then anything that I've tried to view including taking camera shots and web browsing if done in landscape mode will be upside down, any remedy for this problem? I know now... root first, flash later.

Phone won't boot up

Was running RootBox, s-off, etc, and everything was working. Suddenly phone froze and rebooted. But ever since it won't get past the htc startup screen. It just keeps rebooting from there. I've RUU'd back to stock but it still does the same thing. I flashed a recovery and rebooted to recovery from fastboot but it won't get to it. Any ideas?
EDIT: after RUU back to stock, bootloader still will say s-off, not sure if it changed that in the past
