ViperXL, CleanROM, Team Nocturnal, Stock rooted, etc.
anything sense based would be in the "Android Development Section"

I'm on cleanrom 5 but is there any way to get the homescreen from viperxl?

From what I've seen, it all depends.
Camera isn't the stock fast shooting camera in ROMs. If you need that, flashing ROMs wouldn't be the best choice for you.
Okay thanks I think I may just stay with ICS 4.0 then till the next android gets released in autumn?

What do you mean? Do you mean you will wait for the Nexus line of devices?
Almost all the roms have the stock camera. Only AOKP, CM9 and MIUI based builds + those where it is removed doesn't have it. TrickDroid and leeDroid has it. These roms are very similar to stock rom, except for some tweaks to improve batterylife/performance and they are deodexed to make it easier to tweak/theme
No I mean when the next Android os is released, called jellybean if I'm correct?

Oh, that's not released yet, so were not really sure if It's going to be Jelly Bean or something else. I will probably flash a Rom with next android version right after It's released, but I think it will take a while before It's stable enough for daily use

Oh... I always thought that the sense camera was unable to be placed onto a ROM, but any sense based ROM has the sense camera?
Not every sense based roms. There also are some roms called senseless roms, where apps and launcher and such ate replaced with aosp alternatives. As mentioned above, TrickDroid and LeeDroid are roms with sense camera

Maybe with their larger user base they will be able to find an exploit to gain root in their update that we can use in ours? ::wishful thinking::

Yup, that is wishful thinking. International users can unlock their bootloaders "officially", then just install recovery and flash SU. So they don't need an exploit to root, nor is it likely they will expend much effort finding one.
Aside from the menu button, what are the differences between Sense 4.0 and Sense 4.1?
AT&T's update didn't include sense 4.1, the international update does. I want!

Obviously being stock unrooted has its drawbacks.
If your still stock and on 2.20 then that's all you have for now. If you are able to root you can have sense 4.1 ported from the int hox

that's what i thought. I'm just wondering if they have improved on project butter.
Just seems like the camera and keyboard is better. I dont' notice much else.
Yes, Definitely. In 4.2, Project Butter is starting to be fully implemented for our device, versus 4.1 in which it was not. 4.2 is hands down the smoothest ROM available for our device right now, even in its unfinished state. Smoother than any 4.0 or 4.1 ROM, including Sense and AOSP based ROMs. Just try it out yourself.

With all due respect. I'd say you are nuts! You clearly have not used 4.2 on any phone, tablet, or any Rom. Go ahead and flash CM10.1. As chongo says, its not butter. Its lotion
4.1.2 aosp roms are way smoother than any sense version. 4.2.1 puts the previous version to shame.

Idk with the screen tearing and stuff 4.2 looks a bit laggy. As far as notifications and the new togglez screen its very smooth. But the main launcher and app drawer seem choppy to me a bit. Its to be expected though. Very early builds

I was under the impression project butter was starting in jelly bean. If it is not present in 4.1.2, why is my phone so quick and fluid in everything? No over clocking or anything.
Any ideas? Not clear to me on the forum page.

Thanks!
I know it sounds kind of silly to be going back DOWN sense, but I really loved the Serene theme that Sense 4.1 had, it brings me nostalgia from first getting my One X. Sense 4+ removed it and I wanna mess with it again.
I tried searching through threads but almost every ROM now is using Sense 4+ or Sense 5. I don't mind if it's a bit outdated, I just want to go back to a Sense 4.1 Rom. Are there any versions of ViperXL that ran on 4.1? Or any other Rom? Thanks in advance.

That ROM is for the quad core version (ENDEAVORU).
Yeah....thats for the quad-core, I don't wanna mess up my phone.
But after some more searching, I found out that the 2.x.x versions of ViperXL use Sense 4.1 but they run on ICS. Is it safe to downgrade from Jellybean back to Ice Cream Sandwich? I flashed a new radio and wouldn't want any compatibility problems....
And are there any Jelly Bean versions of Sense 4.1? Or is Jelly Bean exclusive to Sense 4+?

To answer your first question, you should be fine to downgrade unless you aren't s-off with hboot under 1.14 then you have to flash boot.img but you should be good. To answer your second question I believe 4.1 is only ICS.

You might try installing the standalone apk first... https://dl.dropbox.com/u/11362501/Serene.apk

my bad, I was very tired last night, didn't notice it was for the endev.
poiny being there definitely is viperxl in sense 4.1 flavour, seeing this phone was shipped with ICS.
Yes it is safe, provided you are fully s-off.

Wait, you need to be S-Off in order to downgrade to ICS? I thought it was just a matter of flashing a new ROM?
I'm currently on H-Boot 1.14 S-On.
Yes you can just flash an ics rom, if you wanted to Ruu you would need to be s-off.
