[Q] Galaxy s duos s7562 vs samsung wave 3 or some other? - General Questions and Answers

my first priority is looks, build & battery backup. tell me which one has better looks & real battery backup?
I strictly don't "need" a dual sim...so the second sim will always be empty in either case.Selected this as its the best available in my budget...(btw, my budget was rs.15000 but extended to rs.16000 for this phone as it seems to be a good phone for my requirements)
thought about taking htc desire v but after using my friend's desire v i dropped the idea as the touch seems to be missed by phone for a second...but otherwise its a fabulous phone too(earlier was confused b/w desire v & samsung s duos)
I've used samsung wave 3 for a day (another friend's phone) its smooth fast....but the problem is with apps & games....really couldn't find much interesting apps & games on internet.(being bada 2.0)
None of my friend has galaxy s duos so couldn't use it personally (anybody using it?give me a personal review)
I even heard wave3 is going to get tizen os (intel & samsung tie-up which will enable android apps on this phone) but samsung havn't said anything from last 6 months about confirming this...last update about tizen was a prototype phone launched to test tizen for developers. m afraid that suppose i buy wave 3 n samsung dont come up with tizen update then i would left with just the default apps(like samsung always do...they don't care about their existing consumers & come up with new to the new consumers only)
Also, tell me, i know super amoled display is better but does the tft lcd on galaxy s duos matches it so some extent?
I'm really confused. please help me?

[Q] Motorola or Samsung? Which android phone?

Hey there!
Which phone would you recommend to a person which wants an android phone for gaming(minecraft, gta III, asphalt), music and internet(youtube, internet radio, websites, etc.). Better the battery, better the phone. I'm probably not gonna change roms and i'm okey with locked bootloader, but I'll root the device and I would like to overclock it to get the max performace !
I've got 4 phones on my list as they are cheap.
I prefer defy's because they more resistance I think(you don't want to know what happend to my last phone )
- Motorola Defy (~180€)
- Motorola Defy+ (~200€)
- Samsung S i9000 (~200€)
- Samsung S+ i9001 (~190€)
If you have any other phone that is good, write it. My previous phone was HTC Touch Pro 2 with Android 2.2 if it would help anyone
Thanks for help
I'll go with the Samsung S i9000. It's a nice one...
What about the Defy and S+(I heard S+ was worser for gaming then S)? Do any of you had any experience with them before?

Samsung Galaxy s or s PLUS ?

hi, i have a question for i have search a lot..
What phone is better for application Samsung Galaxy S(I9000) or Samsung Galaxy S PLUS(i9001)
And one more think .. -= at I9001 i can install android 4.0.3 from this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398223
???
I think a proper place for this question would be in the I9000 forum
1900, it has more roms. Galaxy s2 is for rich people, right?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
galaxy s2 is over 2 times faster than the galaxy s, it has a bigger screen, super amoled PLUS, it is still supported by samsung and it will be supported by developers for more time to come...you decide
galaxy s2 is x2 faster but x2 at price ) i want samsung galaxy s or galaxy s+ and i dont know what is better
here is a comparison between the two:
http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=3908&idPhone2=3115
as I see it the main differences are:
OS - minor difference because you can change it manually when you flash ROMS
Processor - this is maybe the difference
battery - also a thing you can change alone(Ebay cough cough)
I don't know what are the price difference - you should consider if the price difference is worth those changes
Enjoy

[Q] Dual sim android phone recommendations

Hi all, would appreciate if anyone can give me recommendations for a dual sim android phone.
Here are the main things I care about, more or less in order of importance:
1. Great battery life (or ok battery life with removable battery and spare battery readily available to buy)
2. Powerful/fast - lots of memory, fast processor, preferably up-to-date android OS
3. Pre-loaded with android play store and upgradeable (if I understand correctly some of the Chinese dual sim phones have issues here)
4. Decent camera & resolution
That's about it, not asking for much then
I care less about weight, thickness, screen size (although less than 4" would be a pain), funky features & bloatware etc.
I've looked at a few choices like samsung galaxy grand 2, huawei g700, htc one dual sim, but reviews seem mixed and most seem to do badly in one or more of the above.
My only experience with dual sim was the samsung galaxy grand 1, and I didn't like it because I thought the battery life was pretty bad, underpowered and screen quality surprisingly awful.
If you know of any phones that fit the bill or you're using one that you think would be good please let me know.
Thanks!
Hmm, maybe what I'm after doesn't exist.
If anyone is using a dual sim android phone please let me know your experience so I can make some choice.
Anyone using the samsung grand 2? If that's like the one with better battery life and runs smoothly might go for that
The Best SmartFone available in Its Range is Gionee Elife E6.
You can have a try at that..!
Thanks, I'll check it out

Note 2 would be great, 3 even better, but seems they're released in China only

You could consider galaxy S5, or S4, or HTC Desire 816, I wouldn't recommend a no name brand even thought it might seem a deal price - specifications, notice how all got 4.2.2 Android and will probably stay that way for good, too many compromises, I know from experience..
Purchase the Videocon A24... Thats a superb phone for you.. And also for me

[Q] Samsung Gingerbread OS for Samsung Galaxy Chat B5330

Hi,
I wish to have Samsung Gingerbread OS for Samsung Galaxy Chat B5330.
Why? Short history:
I used to use Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos B5512 and i love it (because of QWERTY keyboard, touchscreen and it's Android that i needed). But after few years 160MB of internal memory is not good enough for official updates (such as google play, youtube etc.). So I bought Samsung Galaxy Chat B5330 because of 2GB of internal memory (also it's better screen orientation). I bought and run it and... BOOM, there is Android 4.1.2. Dear Lord... Maybe I am crazy man (with bad English ) but I hate changes. The new version of Android is really not for me.
So my question is...
it's even possible to install Gingerbread OS on my Samsung Galaxy Chat B5330 and will it work?
If yes - please guide me how to do it.
I will be really grateful.
no one?
You will OT find anything that far back for that device if it comes with 4.1.2 stock which means there is no kernel for it for that old of a os. Sorry but your gonna be out of luck

from my experience using a Galaxy Note 2 Galaxy Note 5 or galaxy s6 a galaxy s6 edge, a galaxy s5, a galaxy s4, and even a galaxy s3 connected to both my galaxy gear s and my gear s2 the only one I've had issues with is samsung galaxy note 5 & I think it's kind of hilarious seen as how it has 4 gigs of ram and an octocore processor, that being said the few differences I have noticed in the functionality of the gear when using different Galaxy devices is minimally changed. The apps that will not work are generally not phenomenal apps. And they are usually not updated anyway. In theory if you got an s4 versus any other galaxy device with one and a half gigs of RAM will probably have the same basic usability. I hope this help. I guess to shorten it down if you're trying to save some money. The Galaxy s4 will probably do you just fine. If you want to be 100% sure you have absolutely no issues at all you want the best bang for your buck get an S5. It's almost the perfect device for the gear.

thank you for your answer, this is exactly what I wanted to know. I think eventually I'll get a s4 because I will use it as a second phone only for the gear and little else and buy a s5 only for this seems like a waste ...my phone will remain the main iphone 6 with which I am comfortable in the hope that soon will also be released the app for ios... then there is to say that here in Italy, for what it costs to buy a samsung, to have 4 GB of RAM I was watching the new OnePlus 2 (the same price of the galaxy s4 ......) but in that case lose apps made just for samsung .. shame ..
