You should flash 20p baseband or 21e baseband. All work on rom based on 21e. 20p is for lg thrill so you should have 4g. Check lg thrill pages.

Flashing the Baseband won't brick it? And all will work?

Yes. lg p504 = lg p500 (optimus one)

Old thread - I know, but the last post appears to be incorrect. The specs show that the 3G modes differ for these devices: The P504 is 1700/2100 and the P500 is 900/2100.
The P509 is also 1700/2100, so it looks like the P504 (Walmart) = P509 (T-Mobile).
If I were to experiment with the P504, I would try P509 ROMs, but not P500 ROMs.
Of course... BACK UP your stock ROM in Recovery before flashing a new ROM!
So to get started i got a LG Optimus 3D which had optus branding (Australia) and i had to change baseband to a latin one i think to use 850mhz 3G on Telstra i think it was 920h what i was wanting to know can i flash a stock GB rom through clockwork if i can what one will i need to get to keep my 3G? I wanna try out some of the custom roms but my baseband needs to be GB but its only froyo figured it would be easier to upgrade to stock GB and the flash to thaiz any input would be helpful thanks guys

Go there and go to the Australian firmware list get 20B gingerbread and install it via the kdz flash method so that you get the baseband for it. Once you have done that you want to get a pen and write down your vpn settings...
Then just flash any rom and re enter your vpn settings back onto the custom rom and your set...

Basebands can't be flashed via ClockworkMod.
You'll need to flash a gingerbread baseband with the LG Flash Tool.
A guide is HERE.
Once you do that, you can install ClockworkMod after rooting with SuperOneClick.
If you can't root with SOC, then use the Megatron Root in the same thread linked above.
And lastly, once rooted, use Recovery Manager to flash ClockworkMod.
Cheers guys ill gave a play around when i get home see how i get on

I've got a similar problem.. Lucky Aussies.
I've been using 2.3.5, Baseband L6260_Modem_Sic_01.1042.00, Software version LGP920-V21e-Apr-19-2012
The phone gets reception on the highway, but not near the house. My suspicion is that it is connecting to 2G only..
I'm currently testing JellyBam-4.1.0_p920.STABLE.zip...
Great phone, but the lack of support (upgrades) from LG especially in Australia is annoying..
Any great ideas people?
Cheers
Michael

I'm seriously thinking about downloading every .kdz file and flashing them all... Just to gt the baseband version. :O
I installed v21e baseband and Thiaiz over the weekend and I'm really enjoying it, however for some reason I cannot get any 3g connection. My data does work it's just only e or g connection no 3g.
So I reinstalled the official GB update and still have no 3g connection. I believe the problem is with the V21e baseband and not the rom. 3g has not worked since installing V21e on my Rogers LG925. Is there a radio update for Rogers phones? With the Rogers release of GB the ghost calls are brutal so I would rather not go back to using the GB software from Rogers.
I found this thread in the LG Thrill section looks like this user is having the exact same issue.
Any ideas?

Lots of info. on various basebands tested and working in various geographical areas.
A different question for you guys.
I've installed several custom ROMs, all ICS based, and my phone lags quite a lot on nearly all of them, regardless of kernels used, etc.
Did you guys notice any different performance when you flash different basebands? Regarding lag ?

Well as an update, the low score remained when I flashed back to the "good" baseband and in fact was the same for all the basebands I flashed. I then lost my IMEI, which seems to have happened to other people, so take care when flashing basebands
FWIW I found 18 to be the best baseband - much faster download speeds than 20a. I found one that gave supercharged upload speed but download speed was poor
