I know this question is not been answered in Galaxy S2 thread .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1452614
So, i am posting here on our forum.
My understanding is: when on headphone, audio should automatically disabled through speakerphone unless of-course if its enabled on FM and other apps.
Is there a way to disable this simultaneous audio routing to speakerphone when on headphone ? This happens when you are not in music mode and want to check system sounds/ringtones etc.
I'm on Stock ICS ZSPLD rom.
I'm not sure if its the same behaviour on other ICS and custom roms also. Appreciate if any of you can confirm this is a known issue or a solution to this question.
Thanks..!
It works fine on custom ROMs Frank mod 4.0.2 and mazel 2 and CM10. When im listening to music and plug in my headphones, the music only plays in the headphones and not via the loud speaker..
Is that what you're asking?
From my CM10 powered galaxy R
No. I was meaning system sounds and ringtones. They get played on both even when headphones plugged in. Actually I don't see this behaviour on my moto xt720 phone.

Hi all,
I updated to the new .13 firmware yesterday. Everything seems fine except one little problem. The audio output sometimes just don't obey the headphone jack status. There was one time audio was playing through both the speakers and the headphone. Also, after a long sleep, there is no audio output.
Sometimes the music app plays music on it own, or stop music on it own. Really annoying bug.
Does anyone experience similar hick up?
Thanks
I just updated my dock firmware and also don't have any audio coming out if the speakers. I've yet to try a reboot because I'm about to pass out lol...but hopefully Asus knows and will put a fix out soon

having the same problem with my system after the update, keyboard/keypad/wifii work well, but low audio or no audio at times.
I'm in my car a lot. So I like to listen to podcasts, Pandora or music from my Infuse. The problem I'm having now is that I just got a Bluetooth speaker that mounts to my visor.
What's happening is when I connect to the Bluetooth speaker and I want to listen to music instead of the music going through the auxiliary port it plays through my Bluetooth speaker. The only way I can fix this is to open my audio player (I use the one that came installed on the infuse) click the menu button and select "via phone." Then I get my podcast or music to play through the auxiliary port.
Is there a quicker way to do this or an easier way? I can't just open up Pandora and with my Bluetooth speaker connected have it play through my auxiliary port. It always defaults to playing through bluetooth if it's enabled and connected. I have to manually open my music player select a song then hit menu and change it to "via phone"
Its just frustrating. Any help is appreciated.
Dont think so. Why dont you just take your calls through the AUX port instead? i do that and it ways works fine. As for your bluetooth issue. Since your visor clip supports A2DP streamig it will automatically play through bluetooth since its connected

Optimus-Prime,
I suppose I could take my calls through the aux port the only thing is I have to jack up the volume to be able to hear the person on the other end. I also have not tested the quality of using my phones speaker vs the quality of the visor mounted Motorola Bluetooth device. I'm hoping/thinking the Motorola will have better audio quality. This I have yet to determine.

Hello all
So this is the problem. since I have tab 7" I use a headet a lot. But the audio in my headset is full of bass. It's like someone speaking to me true inside a deeeeep hole. just a lot of bass. So I was trying all kind of equalizers but non of them work on BT output. So question to all of you is there a app like that.
I am running overcome ROM 4.0.0. I tried voodoo app (works great on headphones and speakers but not on BT headset. Havent really test BT headphones A2DP since my battery is dead and I just can't find my cable.) I tried a lot of EQ apps from market but non of tham have effect on BT. I also tried that DSP manager but it does not work at all. I can change settings as much as I want but nothing actually happens.
I remember that old phones without any smart OS could do that. They had in call equalizer. Funny that such a smart OS like android doesn't have something like that.
So please help. I there is no such app someone should make it.
Thank you all
Sounds like the extra booming bass is a characteristic of your BT headset as the Galaxy tab is not the source. The Tab has one of the best audio chips. Did you try with another BT headset? If you tell us which brand headset you use you may get more feedback...

It could be. Headphone is SE HBH-608 and headset is nokia BH-503 but this Nokia is not tested since I lost my charging cable. Can't find it. After I test it I will know for sure. But it could be that is because of headphone.

hi. thanks for suggestion. I tried that one and all other EQs. Non of them have effect on BT sound output. It does on a2dp BT output but that is only for listening to audio. Voice does not go via a2dp so it can't be modulated.

volume+
try volume+ by meltus. it works bluetooth with my prius. it has bluetooth settings.
It was probably because of headphone. I tried headset and it is better but it also depends on other side and persons mic.
I think it is from the headset, because I had that problem earlier when I was using SE headset (I don't remember its model), but when I use SE MW600 the sound is so clear, btw if you have A2DP bt headset with 3.5 audio jack you can get different quality of sound if you only change the wired headset attached to it.

When I connect my headphones Google Music automatically switches to the headphones but other apps (games) do not. I used to have a SGS with CM10 and when I put the headphones in there, everything went through them.
Is this a setting I overlooked or do I need a specific app (and which one would that be)?
Thanks :good:
Hi all,
I have been suffering the following problem for several weeks already, I hope someone can help me to get it solved. I have a parrot bluetooth car kit installed in my car (mk6000 model) which is able to play music on stereo.
When I play music the volume level is pretty good, as good as when I use the speakers or wired headphones. However, the in call volume is extremely low, no matter if the Nexus was playing music right before the call or in stand-by (with wired headphones or no accessories in-call volume is fine). This also happens to both incoming and outgoing calls.
I have tried to unpair and then pair again the device but it is still the same. Also installed the Bluetooth Volume application with no luck. I have not checked with bluetooth headphones but I assume that I would get the same issue.
I am surprised that nobody posted this before (at least I could not find anything) and I am wondering if this is only happening to me.
Can anyone give me some advice?
Thanks!

Anybody having this problem?
Thanks.
I don't answer when I'm driving but sometimes when I do answer, the volume is the same as the music playback volume...
I have used Nokia's old wireless headphones with my n5 and the sound is pretty decent...
I don't know how deep you have dove into your nexus experience but this would help:

Thanks, but I am not sure if this would work for me. I just need the volume in-call boost when bluetooth is connected. I want in-call speakers or wired headphones volume remain as is. I do not want any change for music streaming volume (bluetooth or speakers). Is this possible?
Thanks!
