HI guys, i have looked everywhere so i ll try here maybe you can help...
My accelerometer is not working, i have the samsung galaxy ace s5830 and the autorotation is not working anymore, when i tried the sensor test it seems like its not working, i have tried hard reset already, my autorotation is on and when i try to calibrate the ball doesnt move, it stays in the center...
I've downloaded the logcat app and it writes in red:
E/SensorManager( 181) : +__poll_activate: handle=0 enabled=1
:ERROR Sensor Input doesnt not open events_fd=232 accel_fd=-1
:cannot find devnode accelerometer_sensor
and a lot of other things which look bad......
Thank you for your help..
bad problem
Try to reflash your phone. if it won't help your accelerometer probably is broken.

Hi, sorry for the bad English but I had a question to ask about a problem on my tablet .. well .. when I use the gyroscope to play the controls are reversed .. if he goes around to the left and right .. is there a way to fix it? or is it a manufacturing problem
Which app?
Could be a problem with the app. Or do you get the same problem with all similar apps?
If left and right are switched it could possibly be solved by turning the device 180 degrees.

unfortunately it is a problem with all applications .. I tried to turn but to no avail ... maybe I have to reformat? the problem is that they are the first experience with Android, and then I do not know where to start!

Click to collapse
try horizontal calibration ......it should work...
Horizontal calibration should do the trick !
But if still it does not then try restarting the phone & remove the battery for a few minutes before starting again.
I got the reason behind the problem, when i switch to any other app while playing mc3, then the gyro starts acting up.. It works ok after a restart.... Maybe a game bug...
found anothr way to calibrate gyro senser....
JUST INSTALL GESTURE SEARCH BY GOOGLE...
AND SEARCH THERE GYRO SENSER....
u will find the settings for calibrating gyro....

Hy Guys!
I have a problem with my vodafone smart 2 phone. My device is running CM7-B2. The gyrosensor just stops working at random time and doesn't work again until I install the original ROM (and then I install CyanogenMod again). After that my phone works perfectly sometimes for month but now for some hours and without any sign the screen doesn't rotate again. Nothing else breaks only the gyrosensor.
Do you have any idea what may be the problem?
Thank for your help!!
If the sensor works fine on Stock firmware then the CM Kernel is lacking correct drivers. You may want to contact the developer of the Rom or post in that thread. You could also try another Rom such a Albert96 Rom
You can Try Protractor or Bubble Level app to calibrate the Sensor. If either app has a limited success, you may have a hardware issue.
As my colleague suggested, you may also try *#0*# on your dialer and then use the Sensor test to see if everything is operating correctly.
Hi guys! I have a problem with the proximity sensor: when i put the telephone near my hear ( when i make a phone call or for WhatsApp audios) the screen doesnt turn off. I've already tried the test (hardware test or proximity sensor): It doesnt show any functional signal and the needle doesnt swing. I'm Pretty sure the telephone didnt get hit, so i cant understand why this is happening. Is There anyone with the same problem? Do you have any suggestion?
I have the exact same problem, so if anyone can help, pls do so.
thanks,
