try horizontal calibration ......it should work...

Horizontal calibration should do the trick !
But if still it does not then try restarting the phone & remove the battery for a few minutes before starting again.

I got the reason behind the problem, when i switch to any other app while playing mc3, then the gyro starts acting up.. It works ok after a restart.... Maybe a game bug...

found anothr way to calibrate gyro senser....
JUST INSTALL GESTURE SEARCH BY GOOGLE...
AND SEARCH THERE GYRO SENSER....
u will find the settings for calibrating gyro....

[XL] Accelerometer problem

Hi
Is there any calibration app that actually works ? My sensor is tilted little bit to right.
I have tried This app but it doest work (it does nothing...)
There is example what it does... note that table is perfectly flat and horizontal.

(snap cam, show horizont setting)
This isnt ROM problem, i have this problem on every rom.
EDIT: Its most annoying in "doodle jump" type of games, because it goes still left even my phone is standing perfectly horizontaly (hope you know what i mean)
Can someone help me how to reset "zero" position of acc meter ?
Well, i guess iam doomed. No reply in 48 hours. :/

I have the same problem. Waiting for replies.
I also noticed it. As far I know accelerometer can not be calibrated on system level. Probably another hardware problem. Maybe sensor is placed wrong on motherboard or sth.:silly:
i have tried this thread and it worked for me http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/themes-apps/sony-xperia-l-calibration-app-t2519229

[Q] [HELP] Xperia Z3 Auto Rotate Problem

Hi all,
I know some of you faced similar problems with other phones in the past but I just wanna know if it is a software bug or an actual hardware issue so that I can return my handset and get it fixed.
Auto Rotate kinda acts strangely. Doesn't even respond properly and the orientation remains locked. I tried using different launchers hoping it would fix the issue somehow. Nothing seems to work and the strange thing is, while facing this issue, I opened CPU Z to check if the sensors are working properly or not but to my surprise, the sensors are not reading any data. After a restart, all seems to work fine including rotation. But again after a few hours, the same issue occurs. Any fix guys??

Is your smart rotate on? Switch it off to get normal rotation
I suppose factory reset is a last resort. If you still have issues exchange.
Same problem. Z3 autorotate stupidly (does not switch to landscape automatically and then when I want it back to portrait it remains landscape, have to disable rotation). By the way Smart Rotate feature is bugged.
@unmaskedfalesh yes....its turned on. Yet it doesnt work most of the times.
@bel57 yep dude...same problem here....
@abhinav.tella yes I will do that. thank you

I'm not sure if your"..." And statement were meant to be condescending but it came off that way. This suggestion was already made and it didn't help me, don't know about the others.

Auto Rotate

Hi guys wonder if u can help me please. There might already be a topic regarding this. But I can't seem to get auto rotate working. Wonder if u guys can tell me why please.
Did you try toggling the auto-rotate icon in QuickSettings?
Yes i have done that. I've G Calibrated and done a factory reset. Still the same. Worked fine till the other day.
Just to update. I've managed to sort the issue by tapping the phone twice on my hand.and now it rotates again weird but it works. Read it on a site and tried it and it works don't no why
Hmmm . . . sounds like a hardware issue. Reminds me of the sporadic vibration on my M9 that could be "reset" by banging the phone, at least until it died completely.
I accidentally dropped my phone, 3 days after having it, and it stopped auto rotating, also the double tap to wake stopped as well. Noticed in camera the icons wouldn't rotate. I did the old 6inch drop onto its corner on carpet and it recalibrated the sensor and it worked again.

Gyroscope off after update to Android 10 - can't recalibrate

After the Update to Android 10 my phone's gyroscope was suddenly 16 degrees off. I can't play VR-games anymore, i can't use my gimbal. And the worst: i can't even recalibrate my sensor because the code *#808# doesn't work anymore.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Same for me. Tried to find how to calibrate it but after some time I came back to that app I'm using gyroscope and it was fine.. like it was auto calibrated . Before that I used to also go to *#808 to re-calibrate, and now I cant. On 10.3.0.

In pubg you can set to play with gyroscope or without, so i was playing and my aim always went up for some reason so I had to calibrate like I always did with the menu , but now there is no menu so I just set the gyroscope to off. After a week or so i tried it again and it was perfect
Also, I tried a few methods out there with downloading some engineering kit but it didn't work so I let it go.

OPPO A53 accelerometer problem

my oppo a53 accelerometer have a weird problem, it used to work fine i think but then i installed an app to better calibrate it which ended up messing it up.
now it only work up and down when using it to play games like pubg or viewing 360° videos, but when i shake the phone very hard it starts working again... until i restart the phone at which point i have to shake the phone hard again for the accelerometer to start working again, so basically it is not broken but also not fully working and i dont want to have to shake my phone every time, i read somewhere that all devices that use mems acceloremeters have this problem and its usual but i dont feel like it is normal.
any help is appreciated thanks
