Seems to work alright. I cleared gps data with angry gps and ran a tracking test. It locked in about 10 seconds to 8 satellites.

Which method did you use?
Flashed with twrp (that comes with aokp). I checked the file it was supposed to replace to the confirm it worked. I used gps fix build 3.1 no ssl.

Ok I'll try it this saturday thanks for the feedback!
Build 3.1 no ssl is working good for me . Running Beam rom with Hefe kernal and UVLB6 modem.
Don't forget to thank crypted guys!
Glad to hear this is helpful to more devices.

3.1 no ssl worked for me on Unofficial CM9. I looked at the update script and the only thing affecting my device was copying gps.conf to system/etc (it wasn't in there at all) so, I did that manually. Rebooted and had a quick gps fix.

I requested the the forum moderator reassign this thread to me so that I can bring official support.
However, the request has gone unanswered and unresponded to.
Assuming this continues to be ignored, I'll create a new thread for this device.
I just hate the idea of repetition in DEV forums as it just clogs the pipe.
You should ask the OP and the mod to see if you can get this thread locked then
Official support is coming, please refer to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=33463758
@ALL: PLEASE discuss your success on the official thread. The first post was from some Negative Nancy who refused to read the damn OP post first.
Works wonderfully! On cm9.1 and got locks in 8-12seconds and my accuracy went as low as 4ft without wifi assistance. Used 3.1v no-ssl

Well I am happy to say that I am really glad XDA exists. I would be lost without you guys. Every time I try to flash clockwork, it says, error downloading make sure you have a stable internet connection to load the servers. I have reinstalled and same crap.
Is it possible its the root?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
It's not the root. I think someone mentioned the server may be down. The update.zip has been posted in several threads. Go to the q&a section and there should be a thread similar to this and has it posted as an attachment.

Try "Fix Permissions." that's what fixed it for me.
Happened to me last night... shortly after that my phone got hosed
Don't know if it will help, but there is another update to ROM manager on the market this morning.

kk2 modem
adrenalin shot init.d scripts
InfusionKernel and Entroys Daily Driver Can be Flashed with zero issue
so the KK2 modem is in it as well as Adrenlin shot? And are those the only 2 kernels that are ok? Thanks
d/l now
Yes...its based off UCKK4 i897 firmware but the UCKK4 modem for captivate wont work on infuse so I used UCKK2 because it has worked the best for those I spoke to...but flash whatever modem works best for you...

I discovered this morning that the market will not allow me to download previously purchased apps unless I pay for them again.
Had zero issues when I first setup my phone after flashing the latest AOKP rom, but all of my purchases are showing as unpaid today.
I've cleared market data and rebooted, but no luck. Is this a Google problem or is it something I've done?
AOKP Build 22, Steve Garon's 1.14 kernel, 240dpi (was 220dpi).

So I just flashed CM 10.1 on my I535 to get a taste of 4.2. Nice ROM overall, however it did something strange to my SD card.
After flashing it, I booted into recovery to restore my daily driver CR5.5.1 and noticed this strange “0" folder on my SD Card in TWRP.
I initially was unable to locate my backups but then found them in a folder.
My backup was unable to flash because it was no longer a .zip file. All the files were .win.
Two questions, how do I fix this and flash my backup?
How do you check to make sure TWRP is up to date?
Thank you very much for the help !

Here you go: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/37316-protip-42-and-recoveries/
In case you don't read the thread, it's only four pages right now, this isn't a 100% fix so you may have to repeat these steps if/when it happens again. It looks easy enough although I'm not on AOSP to know.

To this, I'll say read the note in the CM10.1 OP then follow post 2 and see if it works:

Damn,
I just started a new thread about this topic because it is different but related to CM 10.1..
Just read that I need to Odin back to stock and unroot.. then *2767*3855#' then re root and unlock?
I flashed back to stock ICS last night and did the above mentioned keypad trick.
Then flashed back to JB and am still getting the global mode issue..

Hmm, well how about the third post here? Please disregard their "enthusiastic" tone of voice.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2054924
I've only seen two ideas as potential solutions, Odin/dialer code or flashing or maybe changing this obscure setting. Maybe I need to do more thorough reading on other methods.
Seeing all these issues with JB 4.2 is rather disconcerting.

Hello all,
I know that not everyone can post in the original development section - while I usually say posts should go in that thread for sake of sanity, if you have a question about my build please post it here.

For anyone who has issue with GPS, I also had a problem after flashing CM10 [edit. Accidentally hit submit]. I created a recovery of my then current CM10 setup, flashed back to my stock recovery, installed GPS Test, took the device outside and let it get a good, strong lock, then flashed back to my CM10 recovery. I have had little issue with GPS since then, even after flashing new builds almost daily.

Did you get it resolved...?
Skrilax had a similar issue with GPS, and his process was to flash the JB soak test, then flash 10.1 and you should be good.
This is in the buglist:
Some (not all) seem to experience issues with GPS. If you have issues with GPS, please flash the JB soak (thanks for that great guide thedarkness000) and then flash CM10.1. GPS should work now.

Ooops, done it before myself.
Read your edited post, that's interesting... so the very act of getting a GPS lock in another build made it work? That's quite a bit easier of a process, thanks!
So, we have full MMS functionality now, with no FC?
