So my infuse is finally biting the dust now. After a year and a half, its dying of hunger. In other words, the charging port is acting up and I can barely charge it and only if I hold it at such an odd angle. I'm surprised it hasn't died of being dropped or anything else like that. The phone is fricken resilient, no cracks and just a small chip at the corner when it got thrown on concrete. I'm upgrading to the HTC One X for $50(got a good ass deal from the AT&T customer service rep) but I want to keep using the infuse as a wifi tablet thingy so can anyone recommend a external battery charger that could work with it or even some good extended batteries(not the cheapo Chinese ones that don't work well)? I would post on the accessories section but there's rarely anyone there and I wanted to tell my little story. Mods feel free to move my post to accessories if it need be.
I bought an Anker kit that had two 1800mah batteries AND an external charger for about $20 off Amazon. They are working great for me. Last way longer than the old stock battery which was around 1 yr old.

I have the exact same issue with mine. Kinda frustrating. I just bought one on eBay for $12 that included a battery charger and 3 batteries. They are pretty comparable to the stock battery life-wise, but I just make sure that I always have a fully charged one nearby. Not idea, but I am eligible for an upgrade mid-January, so I'm just hoping everything else lasts until then, and thinking about getting HTC One X+ or the LG Nexus at that time. Infuse has been a great phone besides this charging issue that started about a couple months ago.
Havent dealt with these guys so I'm not trying to promote them or anything, but I saw before that they can do repairs like this. http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/samsung-infuse-4g-usb-port-repair/. It might be an option, they seem to have good reviews for the stuff they do.
I found this by googling "Amazon Samsung Infuse Batteries Charger":

I am at my wits end here... I ordered 2 Infuse Battery Chargers (on eBay)... from 2 different sellers in Hong Kong. Clearly they haven't gotten the memo about the battery that fits the Infuse 4G, because BOTH sellers advertised the product as able to charge a Samsung Infuse 4G, yet both of the sellers sent a battery charger for the I9000.
Has anyone actually found one that is for the right battery? LOL. I know it's only cost me $4 each, but the wait only to be disappointed when the wrong product arrives drives me insane.
Thanks!
Someone mentioned here on the forums, you can use a samsung captivate battery. Same width, smaller height. So the user stuffed some paper bits in the remaining area so that the battery holds in place. Not a long-term solution, but if you need to do something about it, that's an option. I haven't tried it myself.

From my understanding you CAN... but the issue is if you stuff paper in there and your phone gets jostled, it may cause the power contacts to lose and re-connect, causing random reboots.
There are non-OEM Infuse batteries on eBay for $8 for 3... or $24 for one original.. is it really that big of deal to spend a couple bucks? It's like buying a Porsche and then cramming an after market air filter in that's half the size and surrounding it in tissue, hehe
I have 2 captivate batterys laying around and yes they are compatible. Just.wedge something in there to make.up for the room. Comes in handy for emergencys. They dont last as.long but o well right. Also i used the captivate battery charger to charge my infuse battery lol i know it dont fit right so i used a rubber band to hold it into place and yes it worked.

Well I got the "Samsung Infuse 4G 1800mAh 2 Battery+Dock USB CHGR Anker" on ebay from laptopmate_usa.
Includes 2 batteries plus a flimsy charger (still works fine however) and they work great in my experience.
I think it's ridiculous to pay full price for replacement batteries.

I have 2 ebay batteries and an extra OEM battery. The ebay batteries most certainly are NOT 1800 mAh. But they make good spares for traveling or extended movie watching.
When it comes to batteries, you definitely get what you pay for.

Same one I have.
I am confused with your question. If you are looking for a charger for the spare battery, Samsung sells it. If you are looking for a spare battery, samsung also sells it but is only 1300 mAh
Has anyone ever ordered batteries for the Charge from Hong Kong off of eBay?
They are selling 2 batteries, and a battery charger for $13.00 bucks.
I want to order this....but not sure how good the batteries are...
Has anyone ordered any of these batteries from overseas?

I snagged a similar thing for my Fascinate last year. 3 spares + charger for $12 shipped.
They were easily just as good as the stock battery.
YMMV depending on seller/manufacturer, but the ones I got were just fine.
I ordered some also since me and the wife both have the charge. Just waiting for them to get here from never never land. I really wanted the charger the most.
Looks like the same thing I got off amazon. Been working fine for months here.
I bought the same battery off Amazon never lasted longer than 4hrs with only heavy txting really but my stock battery doesn't last long either so I've read the reviews for it so I'm thinking it's my phone

Yup. Just check that they're OEM Samsung batteries and they'll be the same as you'd get from VZW for a lot more. I got a few for my OG Droid and they outlasted my use of the phone. Got two this time just because they were so cheap, but haven't had a reason to use them yet, though I have one hot-charged. Usually takes 10 days or so to get to you by China Post, but there's no scam. They're just dirt cheap there and they still make a little sending them along.
The wall charger is fine, just don't ever bother trying to use the USB on it. I know it used to drive the screen bananas and phantom click all over the damned place. It's cool for the battery alone tho.
So how would this compare to say, the Hyperion batteries?

Got my g2x last week and the battery is horrendous. Seems like there's no way around it unless I root my phone. Don't really feel like rooting my phone because I have never done it before and don't want to brick it. At this point, I'd rather carry a replacement battery. I'm looking for something that will provide at least an extra 5 hours of use.
I was looking on ebay and found some that come with a charger and 2-3 batteries. Anyone know how long these last?
I think it would help if you posted link to the batteries you have in mind. Unless all replacement batteries are the same nowadays.
But seriously, its not that hard to root your phone. And if you use the Bionic Reloaded v3 ROM, you'll get the official taste of Gingerbread, with great improvements.

This phone is almost unbrickable, follow instructions (which seems to be the part that people have trouble with) and you'll be fine.

Also, I would reccomend the 3500 MAh battery mentioned in the accessory section, got mine from Texas and it works great, no temp sensor though.

The 3500 Mah battery will make the phone bigger, but you will be able to run for hours on end.
Thanks for the replies. I couldn't post links cause I'm a new member. I ended up getting some chichitec replacement batteries shortly after creating this thread. I'll probably be rooting my phone later.
They are ok
Eversince I got my G2x about a year ago, I have been using a replacement battery. The same thing that you see in ebay. For some reason I don't feel like using the battery that came with it. They are ok. If they are not the same quality with oem, they are at most 8% lesser in quality than the oem. I have been buying extra battery on ebay since my G1 then my nexus1 then to my G2X. They are cheap and they are good. You can never go wrong with it.

+1 on the 3500 mah, i seen a thread regarding the one sold on ebay with great feedback. personally i use Gorilla Gadgets 3500mah and easily get an extra half days worth of juice. and im constantly on my phone texting, webing, gpsing, calling, xdaing (lol), etc.etc..
Yep I'm a beleiver in the G2X XL haha no plastic covering the lens takes waaaaay better pics and video. The cheap battery I got gives me substantial gains in life.I've had it for a couple months so far and it didnt blow up yet..
.to my surprise haha

I think having root access should be in every Android phone, its what makes it different from iOS.
The thing with the bigger batteries, which I have and are amazing, is that you can't put a cover on them. I recently dropped my phone and cracked the screen since I was using the extended battery as well. I am replacing the glass myself but I would try a slim extended battery since you can use a phone case.
Andida 1980 is the one I'm using. It works well. I haven't tried the Chic batteries yet.
I recommend rooting as well as its super easy and Bionix is so much better than Stock 2.3 while still being stock 2.3 =D

Are you talking about the ones from a brand named Ferocity? I bought a set of two batteries and a charger and everything runs well. I believe the batteries hold just as much charge as the stock LG one. Still, I'd recommend rooting your phone and putting a custom Kernel onto it.

was checking amazon for extended batts for my new relay and noticed that most/all said they fit both the relay and the i415 stratosphere 2/ii. so i searched for i415 batteries and found an actual samsung 3000mah unit - http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00C2ZEU4S/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1402385505&sr=8-4&pi=SL75
you can see that it's both 3.8v and 3000mah. the watt-hours listed on the flip side are almost double the stock one in my relay. there's another listing that also comes w/ the door for just a few bucks more, or some listings w/ just the door. the door has a verizon logo on it, but i bet a little thinner or nail polish remover would fix that.
for as cheap as it is, i'm willing to try it out. i will get the one w/ the stratosphere door. i'll also be buying one of the generic ones that actually says relay and comes w/ a door, since it looks like the camera opening might be slightly different. will compare fitment and battery life and of course post back here.
unless of course this has already been tried and failed...

thanks. i didn't think to check ebay. i guess i was just thinking i'd have better luck with an actual samsung piece, but if this is really 5000 mah i'll be set for days (or at least an entire day!). wish i'd have done my homework before buying my droid4 with its non-removable 1750mah battery that doesn't even last me to lunchtime some days...
guess i'll just get that one battery/cover and skip the stratosphere one. if this one doesn't last i'll consider the sammy batt next time around.

sounds like the one i just ordered. it's currently on the slow boat from china so i'll see it end of month if i'm lucky. now that my contract at vzw is officially up, i'll be going to tmo on friday to pick up some sim cards. yes, tmo is offering to pay your ETF, but the catch is you have to buy a phone from them AND trade in your old one. well they wouldn't sell me a relay as part of the deal and my droid4 supposedly has zero tradein value, so i had to wait out my contract. also sucks that i had to buy another sgs3 for my wife - her verizon one would technically work for voice/text with a tmo sim (in theory) but data would be like 2g speeds. no thanks. hopefully i can sell the vzw s3 (and some redundant accessories like otterbox/etc) to make up the difference.
meanwhile i've already rooted the relay and am about to try out liquidsmooth.
well the mpj 5000mah batt died and now i'm not having any luck getting warranty service. earlier this month it got very hot and swelled up to the point that the back cover no longer closes. bought in june, arrived in august (slow bot indeed) and died in early march. just over 7 months.
might try the strat2 batt this time since i dont want to wait another month for one to be shipped from china again.

I just put a Statosphere II battery (the Polar one linked above) in my wife's Relay. Zero issues, and WAY easier than fitting the bigger battery that required shaving down the back (from Nardholio's thread). That battery died after just a few months, so fingers crossed this Stratosphere II battery last longer (or my wife decides she can give up her physical keyboard!).

It's a 2100mAh battery w/NFC that fits in the stock relay back (there's actually some extra room in there).
Ooh that does sound nice. Im beginning to regret ordering another standard OEM one from china. All the good batteries are understandably in America and have ridiculous postage costs to Australia. I hope the polar works out. It might be the next one I get.
Hello everyone this is my review on the extra battery or replacement battery for you Samsung Galaxy S5. Thus battery is made by NOOT products and is available for 10 bucks on Amazon. Also free 2 day shipping is your a amazon prime member. Ok enough of plugging amazon on ti the real deal how did it work because we have all seen that great deal for 3 batteries and a charger for our phone for 15 bucks. The problem is they barely workif tthey work at all. Nm
Now there are they new fancy named companies witha ssimilar deal but someiof them even suck. Have no fear I already did the testing here NOOT products (Atleast there batterie, have nnot tried anything else yet) are the real deal. I have 3 Galaxy S5's in my house and we all have at least 2 back up batteries and we all use NOOT because they work as good as the OEM ones. I'm not just saying it to plug NOOT I could care less just your friendly XDA product reviewer (Just starting on here but have been for a while). I love my gadgets for my phones so I buy everything I think is cool for my phone or tablet. So I figure I can spend a few minutes and tell my XDA family member about my latest add on to my phone gadgets. I will tell it like it is good or bad. I will be posting several other on stuff I have already been using so is you been thinking about buy a glass screen protector or a wireless charging Back or card wait a day and read my next reviews.
Thanks

I got them when they were on sale for $5 dollar with a promo code a while back. They work really well, I say about 80 to 90% of the oem time capacity, which was good for the price.
However on a hot afternoon, i left a battery inside my car ... the battery expanded (got fat) and won't fit in the phone anymore.

This. Apparently I have the most helpful favorable review on amazon for it right now, and while I liked the battery when it still worked, I need to edit my review on there as my battery has also gotten fat. It's weird though because I didn't leave it in my car or anything. Battery worked fine for about a month and a half and then all of a sudden it started dying really quick once it reach 30-40%. After several days the battery life started getting shorter and shorter until it didn't even last me 2 hours. Pulled off the back cover and I realized it was getting fatter. I also got it when it was just $5, so I shouldn't really complain, but I contacted the company twice about a replacement (since the product comes with a warranty). They haven't gotten back to me yet and it has been over a month since. Kinda frustrating that their customer service is so lame. Other than that I thought the battery was a good replacement for the price. I've since ordered backups from Caseology on amazon and they seem to work just as well as the Noot one when i first got it.
