[Q] NOOT 2800 mAh Battery - Galaxy S 5 Accessories

Hello everyone this is my review on the extra battery or replacement battery for you Samsung Galaxy S5. Thus battery is made by NOOT products and is available for 10 bucks on Amazon. Also free 2 day shipping is your a amazon prime member. Ok enough of plugging amazon on ti the real deal how did it work because we have all seen that great deal for 3 batteries and a charger for our phone for 15 bucks. The problem is they barely workif tthey work at all. Nm
Now there are they new fancy named companies witha ssimilar deal but someiof them even suck. Have no fear I already did the testing here NOOT products (Atleast there batterie, have nnot tried anything else yet) are the real deal. I have 3 Galaxy S5's in my house and we all have at least 2 back up batteries and we all use NOOT because they work as good as the OEM ones. I'm not just saying it to plug NOOT I could care less just your friendly XDA product reviewer (Just starting on here but have been for a while). I love my gadgets for my phones so I buy everything I think is cool for my phone or tablet. So I figure I can spend a few minutes and tell my XDA family member about my latest add on to my phone gadgets. I will tell it like it is good or bad. I will be posting several other on stuff I have already been using so is you been thinking about buy a glass screen protector or a wireless charging Back or card wait a day and read my next reviews.
Thanks
Any questions please ask.

For $10 you can't really go wrong with the very quick shipping from Amazon and an emergency backup battery.
I like it so far although it died on me at %30 once

I got them when they were on sale for $5 dollar with a promo code a while back. They work really well, I say about 80 to 90% of the oem time capacity, which was good for the price.
However on a hot afternoon, i left a battery inside my car ... the battery expanded (got fat) and won't fit in the phone anymore.

This. Apparently I have the most helpful favorable review on amazon for it right now, and while I liked the battery when it still worked, I need to edit my review on there as my battery has also gotten fat. It's weird though because I didn't leave it in my car or anything. Battery worked fine for about a month and a half and then all of a sudden it started dying really quick once it reach 30-40%. After several days the battery life started getting shorter and shorter until it didn't even last me 2 hours. Pulled off the back cover and I realized it was getting fatter. I also got it when it was just $5, so I shouldn't really complain, but I contacted the company twice about a replacement (since the product comes with a warranty). They haven't gotten back to me yet and it has been over a month since. Kinda frustrating that their customer service is so lame. Other than that I thought the battery was a good replacement for the price. I've since ordered backups from Caseology on amazon and they seem to work just as well as the Noot one when i first got it.

Mugen 4500mAh Extended Battery for G2X

Look what I found on Mugen's international site. Of course it has a new back cover for the phone because the battery is so chubby. But 4500mAh, dang!

thanks for the link but NO WAY! $100+ is way to rich for my blood...
i just ordered 2 of these. i like the idea plus they are solar and charge all my gadgets on top of my phone. and shipping from china is 22 for dhl but they are worth it and are the size or smaller than our phone! holds almost twice the charge with multiple voltages including 3.7v which is ours.
Total was around $52 after shipping but just sell one or keep the other for twice as much! ill repost this link in thread.

Too expensive and UGLY
Wow, out if my budget.
I could buy 3 external batteries including shipping, for that.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
look at the back cover on that thing and then the shape of the batter! what a waste of space!
I am sorry but I get plenty of juice out of my battery, i dont know what i would do with a battery twice the size let alone three times the size of my current one... that **** would last all week without needing a recharge!
honestly for the same price, little bigger and more juice i could just lug around a mini nuclear reactor... where is tony stark when you need him? im trying to hook my phone up with that mini arc reactor bro!
Yeah, that is way too bulky for the size. If they wanted to extend the back of it, why wouldnt they make the battery a sort of P shape that extends further up the back so it doesnt have to bulge as much?
I MIGHT buy a battery that only makes the back case flush with the camera. I already dont like that camera hump on the back, so a battery that only needed to extend that much or a tiny bit more would be perfect. Maybe like a 2500mAh?
Thread cleanup, back on topic please.
My question here is this: Is it completely safe to use this battery?
I'm thinking perhaps in the future I might want to buy one because I deplete my battery extremely fast with constant use. The only thing I'm worried about is if it will hurt my phone in any way.

you know I was thinking this too, but I did watch some reviews on youtube on their other 4500 mah extended batteries for other android phone models. It doesn't look that bad, infact it seems to make the phones look like a tiny miniature powerhouse PCs from the future.
Right now it says their sold out and will get new stock in June, I'm definitley gonna get one. If like the reviews say that some people don't have to charge this extended battery after 3 days of heavy use then I'll be in G2x heaven. Infact, I would bet as LG was in the design proces for the phone that they were shooting for a phone that could last for 3-5 days on one battery charge, but since marketing research thinks consumers will only buy a slim form factor cell phone, they opted to cut corners on performance for cosmetics, which absolutley sucks in my opinion.
just ordered it. Will post a review once I receive it.
I ordered the 4800 one for my atrix as well. I just received that one today. Will try it out when I get home!

Right on, can't wait for the review. Just wanted to ask though, I saw that they were out of stock and that they'd get more in stock and if I ordered on that certain day I looked on the site, I would get it on June 3rd. I looked at the site again and it said if I ordered that day I'd get it on the 10th, now I checked again today and it said if I ordered I'd get it on the 6th. What gives with all the different ship dates?
You also said you just got the 4800 for your Atrix.
When did you order that one and how long did it take for you to recieve it?
How was it shipped out to you, UPS or USPS?
How did you purchase, with credit card or paypal?
How professional are they and quality of the product?
Does the product come with a specific charger?
And how long did your Atrix last on standard battery and how long does the Mugen battery last?
Sorry for the questions, I'm just very interested in this battery and I'm so ready to purchase, just waiting till they get it in stock, before I ordered, although I'm so anxious just to put in the order now and wait for them to ship it out to me on the proposed date a couple weeks later. But is that wise?

Check the forums for an easy to build tester. I tested a few, and stock batteries for g2 and vibrant, none of the extended ones lived up to their claims. They had more capacity, but not what they claimed, and some caused instability. Stock oem tested within 5%. Extended varied wildly, best being about 25% shy of stated. Imo, that's false advertising at best.
I still have the tester set up. Ship me a battery and I'll test it for you if you like. I'll even pay to ship it back to you, but I will post about it here if you do. Personally, I'm not wasting any more money on them for myself.

I ordered it on 5/13 and received it on 5/20

Came via USPS

I used paypal. Had no issues
How professional are they and quality of the product?
The quality of the product is awesome. At least so far. This is my second Mugen battery. I had one for the nexus one as well. worked just fine. The one for the atrix ROCKS right now. On average usage (with stock battery) I would get about 1.5 days. With the Mugen, I hit 3 days with 1 full charge under the same usage pattern
Does the product come with a specific charger?
Nope. Just the battery and the back cover.
And how long did your Atrix last on standard battery and how long does the Mugen battery last?
1.5 days vs. 3 days

By the way, I had a Milestone as well, which also had an extended battery but from Seidio, and that battery i was NOT happy with. Did not add anything in addition to the stock.
The only way to test a battery is using an external load / voltmeter jig. Based on my past experience with Mugen, their 4500mAh battery will test out much lower, my bet is somewhere around 3400mAh. Just enough to make you feel like you got value for your money. Theres no way the average consumer can compare battery life using the phone itself.

Yup you're right. I do not have a voltmeter handy so I'm just relaying my observations.
So far, it's been good (I'm still talking about the Mugen Atrix battery since I haven't reeived the G2x one yet). Far better than the stock battery (not just by a couple of hours but by days) so I'm happy

I'll pay a hundred bucks to get at least 2-3 days on one charge. Anything to get rid of this miserable battery life that makes you feel anxiety when you're away from an outlet, especially if you use the G2x like I do which is on the internet constantly browsing and watching vids and playing vid games.
Although on another note, auto airplane mode does indeed make the phone somewhat viable and stops the drastic bleeding when the phone is not being used, and I also notice that under settings> accounts & sync> background data turned off also helps very much with the horrible battery drain when on standby.
Tmobile has sent me a replacement battery which I had to pay $10 shipping, so I might recieve it on the 3rd of June, I'll hold off on the Mugen 4500 mah and see how the replacement from tmobile goes and play around with the other settings I just mentioned. I just don't like the idea of switching out the batteries each time. Gonna put wear and tear on the battery cover and all, so even though I have an extra battery, I'm still considering the Mugen extended.

I know exactly what you mean! That is the reason I was willing to spend $100+ on a battery because I didn't want to bother carrying extra batteries all the time or swapping them out or worry about charging each one..
I have one, lasts me 3+ days and don't have to swap anything.
Might not be ideal for most people, might be heavy but hey... it's perfect for me
Without a doubt, there is value in having a battery that can last 2 or 3 days. I've purchased large capacity batteries from Mugen and Seidio, and happily used them.
But, for the price paid for these batteries, I also expected to get what was advertised in terms of mAh rating. It irritates me that these companies feel that they can just print whatever inflated rating they want on these batteries and there is no consequence for them.
Heres what I've determined: High quality OEM batteries I've used in the last 4 years all have been around 1500mAh, as that seems to be the sweet spot in terms of size vs capacity for a phone manufacturer. Mugen & Seidio use cheaper cells, typically 1200mAh for the same physical dimensions as the OEM cell. From there, its simple math, 2 cells equals 2400mAh (not the 3000mAh stamped on the sticker. My guess, without even looking at a picture, is that the Mugen 4500mAh battery is a 3 cell unit with a real capacity of 3600mAh.
3600mAh is not a bad setup, I'd throw $100 for it. But I'd still be irritated.
What would be really nice is the manufacturer giving us the option of buying another cell, the stock oem battery with a replacement back that had a charge balance circuit and anything else it would need to be reliable. Known good cells, just an extra one.

I bought the ext. battery a few months ago, but just started using it regularly last week. Witht he Seidio ext. cover and case, the phone is a brick, but I love it. Ext battery lasts me easily all day with heavy use.
the thunderbolt is a bust.. It needs to look like a freaking brick and to feel like one in order to function like it should out of the box.
It would be nicer if it didn't have the hype going in.. this phone is really all hype, as there are many phones already better then this phone in a short time span, without nearly half as much hype.
bust

hahaha, start a thread slamming the TB and go on every post to complaint. think you are the noob here. i am totally happy with it, i get 10+hrs easy on a custom rom, if that was/is your complaint.
well, you could always get a different phone...and i am sure you will find faults with it.
i am happy with the dev's working on the TB and putting out amazing ROM's. think you shoudl try them out before starting up.
I agree. The extended battery works great for me. It's not as bad as some people make it seem. I for sure don't think its a "bust". Pros outweigh the cons for me.

I got the HTC extrended battery & cover from my local Verizon store about two weeks ago for ~$40 after tax due to my company discount. It is so nice not to have to worry about how much I surf the net, text or talk on the phone. Even after 12 hours of moderate use my battery averages ~50%, which is not too shabby.
I also bought the Seidio Active Extended case, but was not too impressed with the plastic kickstand and overall bulk. Believe it or not, I ended up using the High Gloss Silicone Cover for Extended Battery case that I purchased for ~$15 at the Verizon store. Though using the power/volume buttons was a little tough until the case was broken-in, it just feels less bulky and seems to offer better protection than the Seidio case (IMHO).
Got my extended 2 months ago and couldn't be happier. I went in the Verizon store complaining about battery life and how I can't use this phone anymore and they gave me the battery for $20 to shut me up Lol
Other Options
If you don't want to get an extended battery but you want some extended time there are some good deals on batteries on amazon. I saw on there you can get 2 regular 1400 mah batteries plus a wall charger for the batteries for $20. All the reviews seemed positive too. It's really just another option, and cheaper too.
Is it still on sale I need it bad!!
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA Premium App
Do it. It bulky no question, but the added bulk actually makes it easier to hold. And I use the pi** out of my phone and it lasts from 6:30am until the following morning without touching a charger. I'm running chingy's 3d...but I suspect it would do that on just about on any custom ROM.

agreed, bought that deal, plus an extra battery charger for about 5 bucks so I have 2 batteries always ready to go.
What are you doing to make your battery drain so fast? I use my phone on AO5PTH3ORY with cooked in kernal and I am getting about 10 hours + when usage steady all day, on WiFi 3g/4g, email, text, internet. Try to flash a different radio if you are rooted for better signal (that worked for my cell phone standby drainage) or flash a different kernal (try dream kernel I hear great things)

Best Priced & Reliable External Battery

I recently bought a nexus 4 to replace my s2 and I was wondering what battery you guys/gals use as an external or if you've heard of any good ones that you can suggest.
I want to avoid muggen because of their terribly high prices. Looking to spend under $25 yet I don't want to order some nameless one on eBay as they're capacity is questionable.
I've Googled a bit, but I always think the best opinions come from actual consumers and not just reviewers
I bought one of these before http://ncix.com/products/?sku=80896 but it could only charge up to 30% of my phone so i returned it. I guess the output of AA's makes it less efficient in charging a phone that needs 1-2amps
Oh and I'm in canada so I would prefer prices/products that aren't USA only.
Get the ones from anker. They are pretty good. I use the Anker Astro. They come with 18 month replacement warranty so you can be pretty relaxed.

It is a BEAST!!
I think N4 can survive on it for almost a week!!!
I've been using this one for a bit and love it. I play Ingress (too much) and it usually eats about 20% of my battery in an hour. While plugged into this I not only can keep playing, but it charges roughly 5%/hour on top of that. I've had it going for more than 6 hours straight at that rate and yet to see the external go under 50%. It is a complete beast. Standby I get about 50% charge in 20 minutes using the 2A port.

Obviously this one is a little over your $25 goal, but I'd recommend an Anker of some sort either way.

Cheap 3000 mAh battery

Hello
On ebay i see them very often but havnt found any review of them.
Clicky here
They claim to be 3000 mAh but are also the cheapest. (2.80 euros so about 3.65 dollar or 2.40 pounds)
And all of them say galaxy s4 i9500 but i read everywhere that i9500 and i9505 have the same battery?
Would be awsome if i can get some info or revies about this item.
Thank you for your time and info

It's not actually 3000 mAh. It won't last as much as the stock battery, you can be sure of that. If you're lucky it gets close to stock, and it's no more than a decent replacement battery.
The only real known 3000 mAh battery is the ZeroLemon one, which sacrifices NFC and has a slight bulge on the back cover (but does fit properly).
Okay
Thanks, i dont understand how they are allowed to just lie like that.
But even if it is about same strenght as stock or a bit less for the price its still very good.
I just want a battery for when mine runs out and i'm not able to charge.
But i also get a bit afraid that it might damage the device or something.
So as a "smaller capacity" backup this would do ? or might it cause some damage?
Thanks again.
I had the same question a while ago... I would just invest a little more and buy the ZeroLemon one, then use stock one as replacement. It's well worth the extra money.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ZeroLemon-S..._Cell_Phone_PDA_Batteries&hash=item43bd602f7a
But if you insist, that one you showed will do good as a backup battery, just use it if you run out and need a replacement right away.

I think i will buy it then because it will be as a last reserve.
Aready threw away a lot bloatware and startup items so my battery life is pretty good atm and most of the time i will be able to charge it.
I was kinda looking for a battery + external charger for a cheap combo deal but dont seem to find any.
And it even harder to find a european charger

Yeah it should be the same one as he mentioned.
But amazon is not good for everybody.
For me by example.
I live in belgium and we dont have a amazon site we have to go to the french, german or UK site .
But yeah chances are big we pay a lot shipping costs.
If i order from amazon i have to pay around 5 dollars per item or something for shipping alone.
I bought a 3 pack of these along with a charger for $14 USD and they work well but aren't as long lasting as the stock battery. Still plenty great to keep on me. They are great and ensure I never need to be tethered to a wall like an iPhone user. I have gotten between 4 (when in bad reception and lots of camera use) and 18 hours out of the aftermarket batteries.
The one show selling by ts is probably Power brand. Most of these after market is much less than 2600mah, some even less than 2000 mah. Try buying established brands such as Anker or Zerolemon and you will be fine.

I recommend that.
But I would only get it from Amazon or some other site that has a better chance of having original samsung products and not fakes.
Most 3rd party battery makers, seidio, etc have been tested to be really at 80-90% of their true mah listing.
Not sure why that is the case.
1 day and 07 minutes with 3% left on the stock battery. This phone is amazing. I have it rooted on the Verizon ME7 Stock configuration and have most of the Verizon Bloatware frozen. I've even used it quite a bit during that time on Facebook, taking a few pictures, playing games, texting, making numerous phone calls and checking email using either WiFi or Mobile Data connectivity. :good:
I previously had the S3 and it didn't even come close to half this life.

buyers beware **fake Samsung charger system**

sorry if this has been posted already. Ive always had an extra battery to with me with each of my past phones (og EVO, Epic Touch, Galaxy S3) my EVO lte was an obvious exception. I just hate being tethered to a charger, well I searched and found a nice Samsung charger and extra 2600mah battery system on Amazon, never had a problem with Amazon ever. I order the charger, receive it the next day, when I checked it (my wife had opened it and charged the battery for me by the time I got home from work so I didnt bother looking at the packaging) I get to checking it out and it just kinda felt cheaply made, I shrugged it off. fast forward to the next day, the time comes that I need the extra battery, I pop it in and boot the phone up..........it shows only 94% and it drained pretty quickly (this kinda went with what I initially thought) I then said "eh prolly because its a new battery) next day same thing, I start researching and find info on fake Samsung batteries, the battery had no sign of the moisture indicator was the first clue, second was it said "made in China, assembled in Corea" went home and inspected the packaging, no signs of the hologram Samsung logo anywhere looked at the charger a bit more, while its a great knock off, it just feels cheap and well fake, had it not been for the battery not taking a full charge, I would have thought nothing of it, of course Im sure NFC would not have worked either, but I rarely ever use it. I went ahead and orderd a real charging system from Samsung and sadly it didnt cost much more than the knock off

I bought the same thing from Amazon.
The OEM battery from Samsung is indeed the b600bu.
Comparing the original VZW one with the VZW tag on it. I don't see much of a difference but the moisture indicator as you said doesn't have the red x's as on the VZW but there is a sticker on there and not sure what happens to this sticker if it gets wet.
I haven't noticed a problem with the battery life personally on the OEM + battery charger one.
Mine OEM replacement only says made in Korea, nothing about china.
The Original VZW says Manufactured by Yongbo, cell from japan, manufactured in china.
I don't remember looking for the hologram sticker when I opened the package. Guess I should have checked. LOL.
The battery charging system is white with grey lettering.
Being that I have the 7500 lemon, 2 of these 2600 mah, and one 5200, I get good use out of the charger and swap out whenever and however I tend to need things.
I bet this wasn't sold and shipped by Amazon.
that would be the first thing I look at. I know there many counterfeits from china.
I would not trust buying any battery no matter how cheap (unless I was expecting a fake) not sold and shipped by amazon or Samsung.
just too many fakes out there.
the charging system is super cheap with the coupon for registering your s4 anyhow, I would not get it anywhere else.

Mine was from Amazon LLC. It's partially why I didn't bother looking for holograms when I opened it.

was the item bought direct from amazon or the amazon market where people can list their items.
from you description, it's still hard to confirm it's fake.
many samsung batteries are shipped without the moisture indicator sticker and hologram, and their batteries are now made in many countries and assembled in many countries, which includes china.
try going through a few more charges and see what happens, or just return it for a refund.
FYI, I bought a genuine Samsung 2600mah battery from Phones4U (£25 - free with a coupon I had).
Whenever I charge this or the battery that came with my phone using an external Anker battery charger (Previously bought for 1600mah/1900mah S2 batteries) it will only charge it to 94%.
It's probably a problem with the external charger and not the battery?
nah guys almost 100% certain its a fake, the battery that was included only charges to 94% and discharges fast, the oem battery that came with my phone charged to 100% twice in the questionable charger. This was an item sold by one seller and fulfilled by Amazon (what ever this means) the seller I bought it from (yes I know I should have checked feedback before buying it but when I saw fulfilled by Amazon, I let my guard down) had several complaints of the same thing thing Im most offended by is the fact that it cost $40, I could have just ordered this from Samsung for $50 (which I ended up doing Sunday btw)
You rally have to be careful with those Corean devices. The Corean people just don't have the same work ethic and quality control standards as the Koreans who build the actual Samsung products.
Hahahah!
That's the great thing about Chinese knockoffs. They always get one little detail wrong like that to make it obvious its a fake. Like the fake iPhone will have the apple logo with the bite out of the wrong side. Or the HTC knockoff will have HTC's logo spelled with capital letters instead of lower case. But getting Korea wrong....I mean its like walking distance from China. How do you screw that up?
Anyway Amazon will refund you since it was fulfilled by Amazon. They won't even give you a hard time about it.
Sent from your phone. You should be careful where you leave that thing.

LOL got a good laugh out of your post :good: my father in law ordered it for me because he has a prime membership, he said Amazon is going to refund the money
Ok, just received the charger and battery I ordered direct from Samsung (cost $10 more than the fake one) and let me tell you, big difference in the weight of the charger itself, the battery is also a bit heavier, the LED doesnt constantly stay lit (the fake chargers LED stayed lit with battery in it or not, the Samsung part does not) and the packaging is all together different, and the Samsung one included a wall plug in micro usb cord :good:

Okay good, mine came with that cord also so I must have a samsung original and mine isn't lit unless there's a battery in it as well.
Thanks for that input.

Yes it did. You definitely got gimped on the first one from the amazon seller.
Amazon LLC is the only way to go it seems.

just avoid knockoff's chargers in general. If I can, I will always use the s4 charger. I could always use a 2A car charger too.

well yeah, its not as if I sought a fake charger lol, and the idea, atleast for me is to avoid being tethered to a charge cord, so the extra battery works out great!
