Anyone Know about ICS with Sense

Hi all,
I've give a shoot of ICS alpha version these few days (no HTC's Sense), and I doubt if anyone or team working to combine the Sense for example 3.5?

most probably but there is not a stable ICS still. we should wait for this first

I currently use ICS-b4r1 from superkid and m-dj. I really like, although there are some points that should be corrected in future releases.

Yes, I use for it for two days, still return back to ROM that consisted Sense
I do wish our heroS here able to figure out (ICS+Sense) as ONE.

ICS
I'm currently using ICS Beta 4r1 version in my Desire S. It is not stable yet. But I like this OS and I'm using it for few days. Well, Camera and headphone doesn't seem to work for me.

Please understand that this will not happen until HTC release a phone / update that has ics with sense

Resize Help

Hey all im in the process of porting my own Sensation ROM over to the DoubleShot, its based on the 1.50.531.1 RUU, anyways the HTC apks need resizing like:Rosie, Music Weather ect, so far i have Rosie basically resized but its just a tad off, so i was wondering if i could reach out to some of you more experienced Doubleshooters and see if i could get some tips on where to go from here ill get a pic posted in a second, along with the Rosie.apk im resizing to see if someone can take a look at it and maybe join in on the fun

Sensation ported Rosie.apk
alright the only things i have changed in this Rosie so far are m10editor changes to C:\Users\Home\AppData\Roaming\M10Editor\Rosie\assets\port\scenes\Rosie_Screen.m10 and C:\Users\Home\AppData\Roaming\M10Editor\Rosie\assets\port\scenes\Rosie_workspace.m10 ive made these changes to match another resized rosie(virtuous unity) and this is the end result, i dont know if its something im missing or not
like i said if someone wants to join in and help, this is where im at so far, thanks for looking

Why not just leave Rosie out and put in a reliable launcher? Rosie kills resources.

Its a Sensation Port :3 Isn't the whole purpose of that for sense? Also, a Sense 3.5 would be easier to port. The HTC Sensation XL. Sense 3.5 and WVGA. No resizing.

Well honestly if i wanted Sense 3.5 i would have chose that as my port, im perfectly fine with with what im running now, i put the thread up for resize help not for tips on what you would do if you knew how to do it thanks again

in Rosie, there's a navbar m10, going down to the second topmost container you'll get to a list of 4 or 5 subelements. One by one click them, and set for the Scale factor on all of them:
0.88800001:0.833:1
that should do the trick.

Lay off, he asked a specific question. Some people like sense, others don't. Nobody tells you how to use your phone.

Im going to try this out, i havent changed any scale factors at all just changed like size and position of the 2 m10s i listed. Although im posting this before my laptop boots i cant remember even seeing the navbar.m10 in the rosie but then again i wasnt looking

Okay so there isnt a navbar.m10 like in the Sense 3.6 Rosie you use so im guessing ill have to plug that in somewhere else lol...oh well ill change my cars thermostat and mess with Rosie after work tomorrow

I could never find navbar either - theoretically it should be in workspace, but i've crawled all over that thing and couldn't come up with it.
It isn't just you, maybe we're both crazy?
There are navbar pieces, but always in conjunction with something else...so i dunno.

I know very little with resizing, as I'm learning slowly. But I always found it helpful to look deep into other simular roms. Like the Unity Sense 3.0, and figure out what is different in that rom. Then apply those changes to find a proper resize.

I forgot to mention this lol so i edited the second post...but i have made some changes in my rosie to reflect their changes and thats my end result thats why i asked here in the open to see if someone knew how to "tweak" it that one little bit

So minus the Smart a** AOSP user comments that im pretty well used to or that cute little let me google that for you link which wasnt any help with a resize so epic fail there.....i hope the offset of the widget and the touch is something i can mess with here within the next few hours

I wish I could help more, at best I can compile from soucre. Why not pull apks from other sense 3.0 Roms?? It's helpful if you really wanna get it out by a certain time.

Its all good i cant do that whole compile from source thing lmao, slowly ill get this thing done, like i said screen touch for rearranging icons and what not is slightly off still( i fell asleep) and im going to see whats ahead of me in the HTC apks lol

Takes 100mb memory and looks depressing with its old layout and theme..

Theres hundreds if not thousands that would disagree with you. The sense launcher IMO is the most polished and smooth, I dont notice any lag like others claim. Just out of curiosity, what launcher do you prefer over sense?

Ive never really liked Sense until Sense4 came out. Sense4 is really nice, polished and fluid.

Cause its actually pretty good.
Free memory= waste.

Sense is alright, I prefer apex/nova

used to like stock android for past 3 years... but now.. i just cant go to the same boring looking of stock android after using sense 4

Sense is more than just a launcher. it's a whole framework too.
Sense is the main reason I still buy HTC devices.
It's a matter of taste and opinion. If you don't like it, that's fine. Plenty of others still do.

They are completely different phones with only a few things in common, despite their names.
A One S or Evo LTE leak would be much more probable to be ported over here than that ROM.

So I guess that the best thing to do right now is just wait

Reading this it looks like they need to upgrade their hboot to run the ROM
I'm hoping that this won't be the case for our phone when we do get our jb update

Few things i noticed that i really like:
1. No more keys on the keyboard. Thank god. Keyboard sucks in ICS. I switched to shiftkey because of it.
2. Everything in settings looks great. The new battery usage and task manager look wonderful
3. Gallery is a lot more useful now. You can see cloud pictures.
I didn't notice it being project butter fast though. But maybe it's hard to see it on video.
Edit: minor thing that i really like is the full date in the notification bar (including day).

hopefully att doesnt remove the radio and flashlight apps. im wondering what we will be using to activate google now

Really? what ROMs? I thought those were simply parts of other ROMs from the tegra device?

I read in one of his threads that he successfully ran a Tegra 2.17 ruu on his One XL. It was in a thread I read yesterday I think. He also has said, I believe, that he has ported roms from the Tegra to use in his Nocturnal roms. I could be totally wrong but that's what my memory is telling me.

It's really bothering me how the default skin appears to have blue accents now

Well maybe if the theme effected the sense keyboard, I just prefer the cool green accents on everything and how it also matches the battery icon

I haven't personally worked on anything for a good while now. I got my nexus and don't need to come to xda as much since Goo tells me when paranoid has a new release, so does fauxclock...I also seen the post on G+ korny made about switching to his relay, Matt has the note 2.........
Silver has been working on 4.2.X I see though so that's new

It's starting to sound like our heavy hitters are starting to move on to the major leagues! I sure hope it doesn't mean you guys won't at least be visiting just for nostalga's sake from time to time.

I'll always be in the shadows, I just can't test anything I touch. Also the Nexus forums are so full I wouldn't know where to start. They have everything official so no need for me to cook anything on that side

About the swipe typing..don't know how far you guys are in porting 4.2 to this device...or even if it is possible
Cus I tried to install the apk on a 4.1 ROM and sometimes it works, but most of the time you just see the line but no letters are selected :/
So, is there a chance to see 4.2 on this device or at least somehow a working swype apk for 4.1?
But so far I gotta thank you developers too for the great selection of JB ROMs and also the other versions too
And also I think its just awesome that you could get CM, AOKP and paranoid working in one single ROM
