Q how do you flash a hboot from a ruu zip file??

Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
You would first have to extract the rom from the ruu file and then extract the hboot from that. Idk if it is in a flashable form tho...

Got to ask, why would you want to ?
Because I am trying to send the phone back to HTC. When I rooted the phone is used the revolutionary method. Now after installing the stock Ruu and thanks using the phone back to s-on it says locked in bright pink letters. After reading the forums it says i have to flash the stock hboot from the stock RUu

wouldn't just running your stock ruu flash everything back to how it was? hboot and all
I have tried that it did until I updated the ota then now it says locked in the pink lettering and the hboot is 1.7.000

Reverting back to 1.73

If I'm unlocked and running a custom Rom, can I lock and flash the stock ruu?
Currently on clean Rom.

I would go with this option if you want stock.

I think the 1.73 ruu, wouldn't work due to software number being higher than 1.73. Since CleanROM is based off 1.8x. But I may be way off.

Downgrade H-BOOT after S-OFF - any takers so far?

Has anyone tried to downgrade the H-BOOT ofter S-OFFing?
I mean, did anyone with say H-BOOT 2.15 try to do someting like this for example:
Code:
fastboot flash hboot hboot_1.13.0000_signedbyaa.nb0
Is that possible or am I going to brick my One S?
I downgraded by flashing an hboot zip through my recovery. It doesn't really make a difference since we are s-off though.

Is there anyway to flash a new hboot in recovery? Say 2.15? And if so is there a tut on how to? I'm currently on 1.14.0003
Look in boot splash thread in themes. Its has different hboot zips.

Can't flash rom..

So I recently got a new device since I lost my 4g on my last htc one s and unlocked bootloader, flashed recovery, rooted, all that good jazz but for some reason I flash a custom rom and it doesn't get past the htc boot screen. I was able to flash new roms on my last htc one s no problem but can't for some reason. The only difference I can say is that this new one received the ota jb update. Any advice? I'd like to be able to get back to my jb roms...

did you flash the boot.img file?
I didn't but the roms I've tried flashing didn't require that. Or at least I didn't think so. I.e. Slimrom and deviantx....
