The way I have always installed roms:
Wipe Data/Factory Reset x 3 Wipe Advanced/Wipe Dalvik Cache x 3 Install Rom Install Gappes Reboot - let it sit for 5 - 10 minutes enjoy
I contacted the developer of the ROM already.
This ROM says to:
* CWM: Install Zip: Rom: Download Here Make sure the file you download is PK-1.00-d2att.zip
* CWM: Install Zip: Gapps: Download
* CWM: Wipe Data/Factory Reset
* CWM: Advanced/Wipe Dalvik Cache
* Reboot and edit your Apps Dpi & Layout under Settings/Paranoid Settings
* If you want to explore the various phone modes, tap "Configuration," chose an option, wait for it to finish, then do a manual reboot
Here is the ROM page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1944523

For those of you who prefer Corvus 5 + SP1 but want to get rid of the two Penquins at boot up, here is a method for Advent Vega (there might be others) -
1) Do a normal back-up with CWM just in case you want to go back.
2) Download and flash Newbe5's modded stock rom for the Vega Stockmod 1.10.
3) Boot it up to check it all works.
4) Go into CWM Recovery and wipe data, cache and Dalvik.
5) Install Corvus 5 zip from your SD
6) Boot up to check it all works.
7) Go into Recovery and install SP1 ( I usually again wipe data, cache and Dalvik, but it might be unnecessary)
8) Boot up and you should no longer have the penquins appearing during boot up.
Enjoy!

I received a few PMs regarding a screenshot of my homescreen I posted as well as 'how to install a new rom'. So I thought I would give a quick rundown with links so I can answer everyone at the same time.
The key to success is WIPE WIPE WIPE! Here's what I do. I've never had an issue.

6. Place all three files on the root of your sdcard.
7. Reboot into recovery: a. wipe data/factory reset, b. wipe cache partition, c. wipe dalvik cache, d. wipe battery stats

Also, let me take this opportunity to thank all the devs on this site. Without them our mobile devices would suck.

I haven't tested it a lot yet, i think that everything is like in CM11
Didn't find anything major
For personal reasons the OP is not able to support this project.
FIRST OF ALL, I DIDN'T CREATE OR PORT THIS ROM. I FOUND THIS ROM A WHILE AGO ON THE INTERNET AND I'M JUST SHARING THIS.
As the title says, this is cyanogenmod 10.2 for jiayu g4t/B/A
THIS VERSION ISN'T WORKING PROPERLY. THERE ARE A LOT OF FEATURES THAT DON'T WORK, AS EXAMPLE: THE CAMERA, FM RADIO,... THE USUAL FOR CM ON MTK...
THOUGH YOU CAN USE THIS ROM IF YOU WANT TO TASTE CYANOGENMOD, THEME CHOOSER,... WIFI AND SMS ETC ARE WORKING
installing instructions:
1) enter cwm
2) make backup of current rom, you will be happy you did
3) wipe data/factory reset
4) wipe cache partition
5) advanced -> wipe dalvik cache
6) reboot
