How Can I Switch/Update my Kernel/CWM/ROM?

With the recent update of CWM/PBJ kernel I'd like to update to the latest ones and I'd also like to switch ROMs to test some other ones out. Can someone guide me through this? I've never switched before I just followed (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1122657), that's it(as far as flashing and such goes). I'd just like an easy to follow guide on updating the Kernel/CWM and installing a new ROM(If and when I'd need to disable Voodoo, if flashing something will reset all my contacts/apps, etc) I'd really appreciate it and thanks will be in order for anyone and everyone who is helpful :]
Info: I'm running 6/15 PBJ OC kernel with 1.8.5 Gummycharged ROM
There's not much to it. kernel and Rom can be updated in CWM.
Download the rom you want to flash to /sdcard (root of your sdcard)
reboot into recovery. If you do not have the option holding down the power button and hitting restart. Dl a terminal emulator and type:
Code:
$su (to gain root)
#reboot recovery
Wipe Cache and factory data reset
Go to advanced: Wipe Dalvik cache and battery settings
scroll to flash with a zip
choose: select zip from sdcard
choose the zip that you downloaded
once the install is complete reboot phone. let rom install
Follow same thing for Kernel. Just make sure you remember what the name of your kernel is.

That works a treat thank you.
Easier way to get into CWM: hold down Power+Volume Up+Home until you see SAMSUNG, let go, and you'll boot straight into recovery. No need to mess around with terminal commands.
Also, when flashing a kernel only (not a ROM), there's no need to wipe data.

Removing Penquins in Corvus 5 + SP1

For those of you who prefer Corvus 5 + SP1 but want to get rid of the two Penquins at boot up, here is a method for Advent Vega (there might be others) -
1) Do a normal back-up with CWM just in case you want to go back.
2) Download and flash Newbe5's modded stock rom for the Vega Stockmod 1.10.
3) Boot it up to check it all works.
4) Go into CWM Recovery and wipe data, cache and Dalvik.
5) Install Corvus 5 zip from your SD
6) Boot up to check it all works.
7) Go into Recovery and install SP1 ( I usually again wipe data, cache and Dalvik, but it might be unnecessary)
8) Boot up and you should no longer have the penquins appearing during boot up.
Enjoy!

Unroot + Revert To Stock - NO USB!

I'm trying to restore my N5 to absolute stock, but I don't have use of the USB port at all, after it got in an argument with a puddle!
Ideally I want to put the device back to stock, so that it can be updated to 5.0, which I can't do at the moment as it's quite heavily customised/rooted which stops the updates installed.
Does anybody know if there's a way to do this? Thanks!
Yes it is, flash this file in your recovery.
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358549862
That file is Android 4.4.4 Kitkat flashable zip file.
- Un-mount /system in TWRP/CWM
- Wipe: system, dalvik and cache (note: if you want to clean install, wipe data as well)
- Flash ROM (be patient - takes a while)
- Flash SuperSU (optional)
- Reboot
