It has a proprietary 40 pin connector. To use USB devices you'll need the keyboard dock or the usb adapter(but the adapter isn't released yet).
Hello,
So I tried to hook up a Motorola Atrix 2 to a PNY USB Hub and it won't work, but the light showed up on it .
Here are all the stuff I used to make a full setup:
Female to Female USB
Y-Cable
Micro-USB Cable
USB Hub
Wall charger
I tried both ends of the Males and both not working
Any help would be highly appriciated
Thanks in advanced,

Pics would be helpful. I assume you want to utilise USB OTG which requires a USB OTG cable, and an external VDD of +5V as the phone does not supply power via USB.

I love electronic / informatic and I bought many otg cables but they all break and a normal charging cable is more resistant.

You can easily make otg out of a micro USB cable and female port. There are various tutorials on YouTube for that.

Not with a micro usb cable and a female port. I want something like that: Phone <==> Normal micro usb cable <==> Female / Female <==> Usb key (for example)

Just try it and see if it works. Some devices could work while others would need a dedicated OTG cable
Thx fydtyh. I will update later

It depends on whether the phone is used as client or as host. If the phone is to be used as a client, normal USB cable is used. If the phone is to be used as host, a OTG cable is used. It is a matter of pinout order.

You can convert the USB C cable into a OTG cable by changing the pinout order as indicated in the following discussion. You will need an adapter to convert one USB C end into USB A.

I know the diagrams show microUSB instead of USB C but the pinout order should still be the same for microUSB and USB C.
