Why would you want to risk doing this?

Shouldn't that work out of the box? I guess you have tried, but you didn't explicitly state it didn't work.

Which is a usb device right?
The 700KL is not just a 700T with additional hardware, it has a very different SOC. So even if you manage to flash the firmware somehow, the chance of bricking your device is approximately 100%.
*facepalm* You'd be better off throwing it off the balcony.
The KL has a different processor. What do you think will happen if you install the Snapdragon Q4 Dualcore driver on a Nvidia Tegra 3 Quadcore processor?

So you want to use a 3G USB dongle with TF700?
If you have the keyboard dock - root your device, then download PPP Widget from Google Play. There is a good chance it will work (it works for me, YMMV depending on the modem brand).
If you don't have the dock - purchase an OTG cable and try with it.

Hello All,
If I download kernel source code from http://nv-tegra.nvidia.com/gitweb/?p=linux-2.6.git;a=summary and flash it after compiling, will my Xoom be able to function correctly?
Tegra 2 is basically a ARM Cortex-A9 processor, so if I download kernel source code from arm.com site instead of nvidia, will that work?
For me, only one way to tell, is to try.....

I was browsing around Asus' support site in anticipation of their latest update, since last update for WW did not announce itself via OTA. As a result I had to do it manually and expect to do so now again when it would finally be available. Anyway.. browsing... I stumbled upon this:
http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=ASUS+Transformer+Pad+Infinity+TF700KL&p=20&s=16
What I was wondering is, are they out there? The TF700KL. Does anyone on here have one? And why is there only a WW release, where the TF700T has 5 different versions?

That's because there isn't one to get. The OP is referring the the LTE version, model TF700KL. Ours is the TF700T.

Still nothing here either, even a manual check still returns "no update available". Fortunately, I just had another look at the TF700T support site and they now list US, JP, TW and CN, but still no WW.

Correct as far as i know. There hasn't been much details as to where this is going to be released. The other versions should be all the same. Tegra 3, wifi only with 32gig/64 gig varieties and grey or gold color.

Dear All,
I new to android.I have done manual update from ICS to Jelly bean. It was success. But i got one main issue. Earlier my device(TF300 TL) comes with 4G/3G from telcom operator. (M1 - Singapore). After JB, tablet can not find 3G/4G network (wi-fi is working fine). When i try to set APN details...it is not saving just vanishes...So, how to make the APN setting stable.so i can get the 3G/4G network. This issue not new JB, even some earlier version has issue on APN setting.I tried few forums for APN setting.. can not solve the issue.. (I can enter APN setting as my operator suggested...but can not save...)
Any tricks ?
Please help me, with out 4G,the transformer not very useful. Hope i have not missed any info.
Many thanks,

In case, Ausus give automatic OTA to JB , not sure what i have to do to OTA JB? Please advise...
Hi,
I am from Singapore too and am using M1 too. I got Jelly Bean OTA alert last week and updated it last weekend and everything is fine..
What i am thinking is that you might have manually updated the TG ver instead of the LT ver which have caused your 3G/4G to be missing. Think you better send it to Asus repair center or revert back to ICS.
I am a root user too but i dont usually change or update my ROMs when there is no OTA for my device.

Think you have to send it back to Asus, you are installing a non 3G rom on a 3g set.... thats why you dont have the 3G option.
The key point is that you have to wait for the OTG alert then update.... dont go and download the wrong verison.....
FYI
TF300T is wifi version
TF300TG is 3G + wifi version
TF300TL is LTE (aka 4G) + wifi version

Hello Bro Flashben,
You are right.I am not aware of that little difference (TG instead of LG). . Today, return the tablet to Asus service center. They may to try to downgrade but NO guarantee for successful downgrade. It takes 5 working day..Waiting with hope.
In the same time, even with TG firmware why Mobile APN can not set..still mystery for me.. (or is it a bug in JB ??)
Many thanks, to all who replied.

I believe LTE aka 4G uses different hardware or software as 3G so that's why it will affect anything that is mobile but not wifi when you update your TL pad with TG version.
Try to look for other downgrade method available at xda forum.

Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300TG using xda premium
I got my Asus Transformer Pad 300 (3g and wifi) two days ago and it worked fine at home (on wifi)... ad then it updated to Jellybean by itself, and everything was fine till I tried using it on 3g in the city today, and oh the horrors... it works.. but it randomly stops working - no network, just like that. When I try to search for one, it says "Error while searching for network"... I reboot it, it works for a few minutes and off it goes again, but if the wifi is enabled, the network vanishes as soon as I turn the pad on...
Is that a Jellybean problem? I am going to try and replace it tomorrow, and I hope I can stop the update to JB...
Its jb issue.... you need to trigger ur 3g ( off and on again) then its ok.. but there is another update for the kernels then it seems better.

I went to my operator and exchanged the pad for a new one... and when that one wanted to update to Jellybean, I said no and it works now.
But... is there sa safe way to go to Jellybean? Without having to root the pad?

I believe it depands, there are many that upgrade with no issue, i was having the same issue as yours after jb update, but not long after that, asus have another update for the kernels and the problem seems to be solved or less occurrence (no issue so far)....

Iwould be happy the day i can get a custom firmware on it, sad that i dont know how to make this things on my own....
i think theres no way to root right now because the tf700kl has another soc as the tf700t and so the recovery from tf700t doesnt work.
and the recovery is the only way to root a asus device with jb on it.
so someone must make a recovery optimized for the tf700kl

There is still no bootloader unlocker for it either. I haven't dared to try the one for TF700T ICS. So even it there was a recovery, we might be screwed. The TF700KL is on ICS 4.0.4 atm btw. And the method what worked for TF700T 4.0.3 does not work it seems (I tried...).

No, if you want to have Nvflasher support, you will have to use Android Icecream Sundwich. On Jelly Bean it's impossible.

impossible is excessive but its true that till now nobody has found any fault in the new encryption measures.
brute force its not praticable so the only way are A) somebody find some kind of exploit or B) Nvidia and Asus releases their keys.
