[Q] Desire S doesn’t recognize sd card

Hi there, I currently own an HTC Desire S, the information for it is below:
Android version:
2.3.5
HTC Sense version:
3.0
Software number:
2.10.401.5
Operator name:
KPN nl
I haven a problem with a 16GB sd card. For months it worked fine in my phone and now, after the resent update to 2.3.5., the phone doesn’t recognize the card anymore. In another phone the card is perfectly readable. So the card is fine and isn’t the problem. A different card, 8GB, works for the moment good. But I really prefer my 16GB card.
Anybody a clue what’s happing here and a solution to the problem?

Had an similiar situation, put the card inside a cardreader, copy the content to your harddisk (if you want to restore it afterwards) and format it. That solved it for me, but doesn't know where the fault is really related to.

[Q] Oxygen Rom on Desire (Bravo) SD to PC transfer problem

Hello everybody,
I have small problem with my HTC Desire. I have installed Oxygen rom and since then I'm not able to copy large files from phone to PC.
I connect to pc via usb cable, start usb storage on the phone, it appears in my windows system, when I start copying large files (large I mean >500 MB) at some point of the time transfers stops, phone disconnets usb storage (changes color from green to orange) and windows says that it can not find the file. Rebooting does not solve the issue.
This doesn't work only while copying from the phone to pc. PC to SD transfer works withouth any issues. In recovery mode everything works fine so it's clearly fault of the software or its configuration.
My hardware/software data:
HTC Desire GSM with Samsung 32GB class 10 sd card
Tested on 2 PC with windows 7 32bit and windows 7 64bit
Android 2.3.7
Kernel 2.6.35.14_r3-stable [email protected] #1
Baseband version 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.23
Mod version Oxygen-2.3.2-Bravo
Build number GWK74
Oxygen rom was installed on fully wiped phone.
I would appreciate some help with this, Oxygen rom is so far the best OS I had on my phone but this makes my ilfe a bit more difficult.

Forget it, I fixed it by reformating the card.

SU760 i need help

my brother buy SU760 network wasnt good

i thougt it maybe from flashing and flash the phone
with LG FLASH TOOL 1.2.45.921 to

flashing was succesfull but network come worse than before
and SD card is damaged not reading SD card
i flashed to

now no change at network very bad
sd card not reading
now this time DAMAGED PHONE MEMORY is added
i wanted to flash
XBSA V21E P920 & V20F SU760 "ICS Themed" V2
ROOT and CWM are done
but now i cant copy
China_V20F_SU760 (2).zip and UOT-05-23-14-58-2.zip to
INTERNAL SD card
please help i have to solve problem

at last i flashed phone
with V21A_00.kdz
there is no network and no SD External Internal cards
after that i flashed with V21D_00.kdz
there is good netwokr with Beeline
but no network with MTS
and again no SD External Internal cards
only 2 Ggb in phone memory
and charaqcteristics are not changed

you have to format the memory card...

[Q] Using SD Card as main - Freelander PD10/ ALPS ICS 4.0.4

This may have been covered elsewhere, so my apologies if it has, and I have missed it.
I have the Freelander PD10 8GB with dual sim. I want to use the extrnal SD card as the main storage for apps like Kindle as the number of books and PDFs I carry has tended to fill the internal SD card.
I have tried apps like link2sd without success.
The system details show as
Android Version 4.0.4

Looks like you might have the same phone as I have (PD10LT8D -> dual sim + GPS).
I'm rather new to Android (mmmmm.. let's say tablets), but I found that under /data/data some things are still stored (cache?) even if the app is moved to SD.
You could (you need root for this): You could make a softlink from /data/data/<app-directory> (I would test it with your app (Kindle) only, and not the entire /data/data directory, since I have no idea whatsoever if it is going to like that).
Please always be carefull, when doing this stuff, it is your responsibility. And.... backup your data!

Hi I am completely new to this and am having trouble finding the right threads, so I apologise in advance if I am doing something incorrect. I have (or rather my son has) a ZTE V795 ANDROID VERSION 2.3.6 BASEBAND VERSION MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V4.P11
2013/09/13 14.37 KERNEL VERSION 3.4.5 BUILD NUMBER V795_T01 which I believe has a very small non-sd card internal memory. It also has a new 16GB external sd card memory. I have a Windows Vista computer dual booted with Lubuntu/linux and another running Windows 8.1 which I can hook up to the phone if necessary. First I would like to create a recovery image of the phone, so I can restore the phone to its current state, should I get something wrong. Then I would like to root the device (Does Framaroot work on this model?) with an aim of swapping the internal for external memory (understanding that it voids warranty etc.). The final icing on the cake would be to expand the "RAM"/cache, again using the sd card in place of the internal memory - please excuse any incorrect terms. Has anyone attempted these things before, and if so where can I look/ Thanks in advance,. Rob.
