Hello!
I tried to root my long time stock sensation but faced some problems.
at first i got installation aborted and error while flashing superuser but managed to flash successfully thx to x_viper_x guide, after several attempts. But even after it said that the flash finished successfully rootchecker didnt find my phone rooted ( "No root access") so i flashed superuser again, checked again and the same... busybox also cant find root =\
there is any solution for this, without flashing custom rom?

I followed the step 1-3 to get S-off on the guide. I flashed a mod but there was a bug so i decided to do a recovery from the back up i made before I flashed the su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip for permanent root. When I downloaded and opened ROM manager It tells me I need to root first. When I open revolutionary it tells me I have S-off already.
Any chance someone can help figure this out.

Hi,
Best suggestion is to run revolutionary again.
This time go through the whole process.
When I run revolutionary it tells me I have S-off already. Shouldn't I be able to use rom manager if it tells me that? It said superuser was not found.
Just try flashing the su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip again you should then have root.
Don't I need to do it through CWM recovery? It won't let me go into CWM because it thinks I don't have root accesss.

update your superuser and binary versions (from market for app, binary update from within app itself) then you will not have problems with ROM Manager
Thank you guys for all your suggestion. I was able to fix it. I download superuser and it didn't work. What ended up working was going into bootloader, going into recovery and it booted it into cwm recovery from there I was able to flash the su file.
Hi,
I just rooted my sensation (t-mobile) using juopunutbear's wire trick and everything and flashed the clockworkmod touch recovery and it works. Then, I used the recovery to flash the su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip and that seemed successful. However, when I rebooted, I downloaded root checker, and it said "Sorry! This device does not have proper root access." Does anyone know whats wrong or had a similar problem?
The phone's software number is 3.32.531.14 710RD. I also attached a picture of the bootloader. Any help would be great appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Edit: PROBLEM SOLVED!

you can try to install any app that needs root permissions
and see if it works just for testing
otherwise flash 4ext recovery and then flash the su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip again
for recovery see here

I get an error, it's in the attachment:
I figured out the problem! Apparently since the phone was ICS, su-2.3.6.3 did not work. Thus, I found the superSU.zip and installed that and it worked!

Yes I have the same problem! I was so pround Iand tired) after gaining s off using the bear trick but then no root!!
Looking for supersu.zip now for ics, should work. thx
I installed the OTA for 4.1.2 and have not rooted my T-mobile T999 at all. I've watched videos that said it was for this firmware and model, but when I go into recovery mode and try to install the zip file, I get a message saying "E: Signature Verification Failed." SuperSU is on my phone, but when I try to launch it, it says "There is no SU binary installed and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"
I've never rooted a phone before, but the videos I watched seemed really easy, but it's not working for me.
Can somebody post how to do it with the most updated G3rootsprint.zip file. Maybe I'm using one that's too old, or maybe since the update is only days old, it's not possible with the processes that are online already.

Which recovery are you using? In clockwordmod the option is located in the advacned menu

I'm attempting to root with clockworkmod, but since I can't get that far, it's the android recovery.

Use this guide to root the t999v. I used it a couple months ago and it works fine, and as a bonus it wont trip your flash counter.

I'll have to give it a try when I get to my personal computer.
I've been having issues with all new root apps being auto-denied (namely goomanager) by superuser. I tried factory reset but unfortunately it kept root. SuperSU said I needed to update binary, but I have no idea how to do that, so I thought unrooting and re-rooting would be easier. Any advice?

Just follow the the instructions superuser gives to update the binary. That is what is causing your half root issues.

Alright, I rerooted with motochopper and updated using supersu, but goomanager still get "No recoveries were found for your device", even after I verified it had root access. Do I have to do the complicated method, or is there something else I can try?

Somehow GooManager doesn't seem to work on our tablets - don't know why but I read the same scenario more than twice: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2524661
Use the fastboot method to install TWRP or the "MinimalADB fastboot Tool"
Yes goo manager has stopped support for installing twrp. I suspect too many people bricked as it can flash the wrong one. Only method now is fast boot from PC which is the best method.
I had rooted my grand quartoo(GT- I8552) with kingo ROOT and it was working fine. then i updated my phone. now when i click on superSu icon it says "There is no SU binary installed, and supersu cannot install it, this is a problem ! Please take necessary back up of your phone first. Suggest you can try installing Custom Recovery and root again. Please go through the thread below and see if that helps.
