Not sure when the firmwares were updated. I saw ICS for Taiwan n Hong Kong n sammobile. Is it a old news? Any reports on their stability?

I'm using the Taiwan ROM, it has some new things like a new keyboard and it's also super smooth.
Plz don't start a new thread regarding new firmwares. All discussion regarding firmwares should be directed to this thread. As for the taiwan/hong kong ROM (ZSLPD)..It has already been added to the official firmwares list in the above thread. Any queries regarding firmwares must be raised in the above thread itself.
Thnx!!
The new keyboard thing is just so fake I am also on that Rom. Plus, you forgot Polaris office v4.0, the new feature
And rest i find no difference between the Tiwanese and the Nordic roms.
Tried both. Both look perform almost the same

Hi,
Do any of the current 2.3.6 Stock ROMS for the Samsung FIT support Chinese Characters?
If they don't....is it possible to install one of the stock roms and then install Chinese character support? (if yes where are the files?)
Thanks
iirc there is "chinese simplified" in the stock ROM.

FWIW I've used firmwares from other countries flashing other android devices. Used the ICS ROM for Europe on my GTab 7.7 recently. Zedomax speaks of using different country ROMs in his posting on rooting so it would seem that as long as the device model is correct, one can flash away. Logically, that is. In the real world, things get fuzzy.
So the 900+mb files at sammobile should be the one that i have to download? Thanks

Sorry OP. But we all know the rollout is in progress in multiple countries.
So will just close this one, as there are way too many already around.

Confirmed to be Jellybean by Samsung-updates... But I'm confused by the file size.
LQB and LQ4 and even the I9070P JB were all around 420 - 430... This is 610MB
Must have something extra
Yeah it's very big. Suprise suprise i'll hope so
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda app-developers app
Why its size is too larger (609mb) than previous jb uptade (~440mb)???
Is there major difference? ?
Could be more bloat
Or extra features like Smart Stay and stuff...
Or could it be 4.2? *DA DA DA DUMMM* - Don't get your hopes up, there's no way it can be 4.2 LOL
Probably more bloat.
Ha ha
.k if anyone downloading plz put difference after update

Inviato dal mio GT-I9070 con Tapatalk 2
waiting for someone to test it... i'm at work, can't download 600mb
Guys, just to let you know, some guys at Ace 2 forums bricked their devices by flashing China JB firmware to their non-chinese devices. It was most probably caused by diferrent radios (AFAIK there are diferrent GSM frequencies used in China). Be aware that the same can probably happen with this fw, too. But I can be wrong.
Attention!

I installed with Odin:
- Baseband unknown;
- Custom binary affected (custom binary: YES (2 counts)
- English and Chinese
Try reflash xxlqb, I hope I have not bricked my phone ...
Edit:
My phone is OK! Boot in stock rom XXLQB.

Interesting, I was going to warn the guys here not to install the firmware, something just smelled fishy about it. Hope no one did and thanks for intel.:good:

performance wise i think this will be same with TMN release, considering what i already see with XXMD4, i started to think that samsung lack of attention to polish their firmware. I will update atleast after XXME release
Stop creating new threads for every firmware release. Use a previous thread or post in the jelly bean thread.
anyone test it?
I tried this. Same performance with TMN. I think smooth and stable...

well for example samsung galaxy s2
the jb it has is better than gb right?
is this safe to flash?
or same as the cninese one?
thankyou
flashing via kies now
phone was never great via GB either so can't be much worse under JB
Why? We has XXMC8 was single CSC TMN we now have XXMC8 have CSC is BTU(I thinks it a Multi-csc) that not have new baseband (ex: PXXME1 from GT-I8160P i thinks it must have baseband is XXME2 or more)
Rumors to the XXMD4 was a Jelly Bean Official, I thinks it is old version:fingers-crossed:
P/s: This is all what i thinks

And about the S2, it was a flagship phone, should be better than this. Ace 2 is a mid range device... Why would samsung care about us?
