FWIW I've used firmwares from other countries flashing other android devices. Used the ICS ROM for Europe on my GTab 7.7 recently. Zedomax speaks of using different country ROMs in his posting on rooting so it would seem that as long as the device model is correct, one can flash away. Logically, that is. In the real world, things get fuzzy.

So the 900+mb files at sammobile should be the one that i have to download? Thanks

Hi thanks. what version do i get for 2.2 i am from New Zealand and we speak english(i assume the uk version). there is only one for united kingdom. the origional xda developer post i mentioned had more than one uk version without boot loaders to minimise bricking.
How did your update from that site work.
You can change the language from settings if you install any rom

Confirmed to be Jellybean by Samsung-updates... But I'm confused by the file size.
LQB and LQ4 and even the I9070P JB were all around 420 - 430... This is 610MB
Must have something extra
Yeah it's very big. Suprise suprise i'll hope so
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda app-developers app
Why its size is too larger (609mb) than previous jb uptade (~440mb)???
Is there major difference? ?
Could be more bloat
Or extra features like Smart Stay and stuff...
Or could it be 4.2? *DA DA DA DUMMM* - Don't get your hopes up, there's no way it can be 4.2 LOL
Probably more bloat.
Ha ha
.k if anyone downloading plz put difference after update

Inviato dal mio GT-I9070 con Tapatalk 2
waiting for someone to test it... i'm at work, can't download 600mb
Guys, just to let you know, some guys at Ace 2 forums bricked their devices by flashing China JB firmware to their non-chinese devices. It was most probably caused by diferrent radios (AFAIK there are diferrent GSM frequencies used in China). Be aware that the same can probably happen with this fw, too. But I can be wrong.
Attention!

- Baseband unknown;
- Custom binary affected (custom binary: YES (2 counts)
- English and Chinese
Try reflash xxlqb, I hope I have not bricked my phone ...
Edit:
My phone is OK! Boot in stock rom XXLQB.
