All too often the Youtube app on my SGN101 says there is a problem with the network.
But everything else has a perfectly fine connection to the internet. The same clip will run fine on other devices in the Youtube app.
Anybody else experience this and maybe even have a solution?

Same here lag is huge and ff does not work buffer not filling.
No solution found patience wil do.
Same here. Since Friday I have been having issues, "Server Not found"
When i connect via the browser all is good. It's driving me nuts!
I have since noticed that i have the same lag with google reader as well. I will often have to hit "retry" several times until it actually loads.
Usually (and suspiciously often) it will work on the third try.
What kind of works with youtube links is opening up the youtube app separately, if necessary hitting retry until it works, then going back to your youtube link and clicking it. Then the youtube app will find the clip.
Delete widget, go to app manager, force stop, clear cache, clear data. Re-add widget, all will be ok, remember to login your account again.

I use tubemate instead, If I like the clip I can generally download it and have it to show to others....

OK, found the problem!
One week prior to my post (above), SPRINT sent me the AIRAVE unit. Connect as they instructed and all was well.
Then I lost YouTube and the PlayStore on the GN 10.1, my TAB2 7.1 and my GS3, all of my lappy's connected fine.
Finally found the solution on the SPRINT forums. So if you have an AIRAVE and are having the same connection issues here's what worked:
Connect in the following order:
cable modem + router ---
Connect AIRAVE to one of the eithernet ports on your router ----
Connect the other end of the cable to the YELLOW port on the AIRAVE
Reboot everything...
Hope that helps!

Hi,
I have an Asus Tablet running Android Honeycomb v3.0.1. I have installed Google Earth v2.0.1 in it. But whenever I open the Google Earth Application, It waits on the main app screen for 15 seconds, then gives me this error message:
"Alert !
Google Earth can't connect to the network right now. Please quit and try again later."
Just FYI, I do have WIFI connected and running while opening this app. I have been getting this error since the time I bought my tablet (10 days ago). I have tried uninstalling and re-installing this app, but to no avail.
Waiting for a useful reply. Its a shame I am not able to access such a wonderful app on a nice 10inch screen.
Thanks.
2.0.1 works fine on mine. Strange.
Works fine for me too...

Im having the same issue :-(
Same issue with mine. Cannot connect to the network.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled as well.
Between this and the backlight bleed i'm none too happy. With all the good reviews this thing has been getting i'm a tad disapointed.
Just did the 3.1 update and it's still not working. Anyone have any ideas how to get google earth working? Every time it's cannot connect to network.
Have you tried master reset?
no i didn't try a master reset. Google earth was like the second or third thing i put on this after i opened the box and it didn't work straight off. I've seen a few other posts around the web as well with people with the transformer and this same problem and not one solution.
I would give factory reset a try...
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium App
you can try to clear the cache of Google earth through the applications option in the configuration menu. That trick did help me a couple of times when apps did not work!
Ok did a factory reset. Went through the initial setup and the FIRST and only app i installed was google earth. Still the exact same problem. Cannot connect to the network.
The other computers on my network can access google earth fine but they are hard wired to the router. I just tried my phone over wifi and it can't connect either so it has to be something with my wifi settings on my router. But i'm stumped as to what it might be. Everything is set pretty much default. UPNP is on, just using wep for security.
Any ideas?
** Update
Stumbled onto another thread for a similar problem. I changed my DNS server in my router to googles DNS and suddenly it works. I don't even claim to understand why. Wired computers were fine, anything wireless didn't work until i switched the DNS server away from my ISP to google's. Any possible reason for this?
Your ISP is filtering/throttling.
Hmm, I'm also having this problem too. GE works on my wifi from my PC, and my phone, but not on my pad. I've tried changing the DNS in my router to google's (8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4), but still the same.
If I tether to my phone through 3G, works fine on the pad. Must be something with my router/network, but when it works on my PC & phone on wifi, I can't figure out why it won't work on the transformer!
Any solutions/ideas??

It sounds like your ISP is unable to resolve the google earth server's address.
Thanks for the response, but if was an ISP problem, wouldn't that also mean my phone and pc would have the same problem?
I'm far from being any way knowledgeable when it comes to networking, but I thought that would be the case??
C.
Same problem here.
An of course Google Maps works on the TF101 (it should look at same servers...), and Google Earth works on other PCs & telephones connected to same home network, so ISP DNS is not the cause.

No don't think that's the case. Every other computer on the same network was able to access it just fine through the same router and same ISP. It was only my phone and TF101 trying wirelessly. Even another wirless computer on the network was able to access it, it was ONLY the android devices that were having a problem.
Same hare, not working on the transformer, but i have no problems on any other device`s i own...

I've managed to try my pad on another wi fi network & it works fine on that system, but not on my home network, which will support Google Earth on my phone & PC, so the problem must be router/network related, but I'm damned if I can figure it out.

Have you tried what i did to see if it works for you as well? Go into your router and find the section regarding DNS and switch it to 8.8.8.8 and secondary 8.8.4.4 and see if it works.
Anyone having this issue. Not exactly sure what changed in my wifi setup but in the facebook and instagram apps photos in my feed wont load. When i switch over to mobile data or use the web page in the browser over wifi they load fine. For some reason my wifi does not play nice with instagram and facebook apps. This is on my galaxy s4 but have tried several different devices and they all have the same issue.
Has anyone run into this problem? Tried searched and found some people who had the opposite issue with it not loading over mobile data but havent found a thread on this. Thanks for any tips.
I am having the exact same issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the exact same issue, its seem to be a router problem, my newsfeed load fine one 4g and other wifi (i have a galaxy s2), but on my home wifi the newsfeed for facebook or instagram won't load, my sister is also experiencing the same problem with here galaxy S......any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
FYI: i've tried restarting the router, upgrading the firmware which didn't work. also before i realized it was just the router i've tried force closing, clearing the cache and restarting the phone, i've also uninstall and reinstall the app several times.
I had a similar problem but I sorted it out today on my Nexus 4. My problem was, the default gateway on my phone was different from what it has to be for that specific wifi network.
In windows one can check the default gateway by running command prompt (cmd) and typing ipconfig.
On your phone you also have to check the advanced settings for that wifi network that you have problems with.
I set the Ip settings to static from DHCP and entered the default gateway values from my pc to my phone. You can also get another ip for your phone in that advanced settings tab if you think there may be an ip conflict but as I told, my problem was the differing default gateway values. I haven't changed the DNS which was google dns by default.
Key thing was the default gateway values for me and I'm hoping this will help many of you.

Hi everyone.
Every time I watch a YouTube video on a specific WiFi network, the internet stops after 3 minutes of watching the video. There will be a message saying "Connection to server lost. Touch to retry".
This happens on YouTube app as well as the YouTube website (using Google Chrome).
When this happens, I have to wait around 4 minutes for the internet to start working again and when I try to view a webpage on Chrome, I receive this error: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET
This problem happens on any version of the YouTube app. I have also cleared all data in Google Play Services and YouTube.
Does anyone how to fix this?
The network works fine on all other devices, as well as my old Xperia Z1.
It seems like this guy had the same problem on his LG G3 but never provided a solution.
Thanks.
Any help?

No proxy, VPS or DNS.
What do I do now?
Any other details? Is it only YouTube that's giving you a problem or all network connections? You using Chrome or the YouTube app to view over WiFi? Need more detail to troubleshoot

This is only a problem with YouTube (so far) and as I said in the post it's the website and the app.
Try uninstalling the updates to chrome and YouTube.

Doesn't work unfortunately.
Any help?
Use a different browser and see if the issue remains.
It must be an issue with your network configuration as it's the app and the browser have you rebooted your router. Can you access fine on a pc watching the same video? Maybe something with your isp?
Does the same video play without wifi?

The same video plays fine on a different network. I have rebooted the router and have tested the network on different devices and they all work. My old Xperia Z1 worked fine.

Eugh. Is there anything else I can do first?
I presume that it is an incompatibility with something between your phone and your router if the same video plays on the network. I would really try troubleshoot the router as I don't think it's anything wrong with the phone

That's what I'm thinking. I don't think there is anything wrong with my phone as it works fine on every other network. Then again, all other devices work fine with this network...
This is everything I've tried:
- Rebooting router
- Changing router channel
- Changing router DNS
- Changing device DNS
- Using VPN
- Clearing YouTube data
- Clearing Google Play services data
- Rebooting device
- Uninstalling YouTube updates
So far nothing has worked
I should probably add that I get this message on the YouTube app: "Connection to server lost. Touch to retry"
While my phone connects and shows an excellent connection it does not get internet. This is a new phone so have not tested it in very many places but at our condo clubhouse which my previous phone and a friends works fine I get a good connection but no internet. Today in Walmart I had a similar problem connection shows strong but when I try to get internet I get a box saying something like this may not be a secure connection or some similar warning (can't remember exact words)
I have looked all through settings and cannot find anything that I need to change.
Anyone know what could be the problem?
It looks like it's looking for the pop-up allowing you to connect and you're not seeing that pop-up. What browser are you using? If it's Chrome then download Opera or any other browser and see if it shows you the pop-up. Once you get in with another browser then any should work after that.

No popups on my clubhouse wifi needed. Tried it again this afternoon and this time I got a connection. I read in another forum that this can occur from time to time but no reason given.
I just hope it is not a frequent occurance.
I have a new Pixel tablet as of yesterday. So far it seems kind of buggy. The biggest problem seems to be with connecting to only some websites. It is definitely connected to the network and can get to some websites. I had this problem yesterday and solved it by dropping the cache for some of the Google apps. It is not working today. Today I find that links from Google search results all return "This site can't be reached". I can get to the sites outside the Gooele search. Only a problem on the pixel tablet. Works fine on other devices in the house.
Did you try a factory reset? Sounds like a software issue. Did you try connecting to a hotspot instead of house wifi?
Not sure on this one. I think you can specify in the Google app to use the Chrome browser for web searches
