[REQUEST] Stock Galaxy S3 Camera.apk running on Jellybean - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Android Deve

I love the features of the Galaxy S3 Camera app, but the rom is full of bloatware and lacking features.
I upgraded to ParanoidAndroid 2+, and love it.
Request to put the STOCK Galaxy S3 Camera App onto a JellyBean mod (like ParanoidAndroid or CM).

Attempts have been made @ this thread but there were no conclusive results.

Its not possible because the stock camera relies heavily on the stock samsung framework.

OOPS I was meant to quote the OP not you but you answered for him ... reason for my Question is because he is asking for a system app of a Different device
i think the camera app should be interchangable Not sure tho...I just find it odd as there is PLENTY more I9300 users with what you would be looking for and its no guessing game that way caues you KNOW it will work. Its better to be safe then sorry. And yes they are similar devices but they are not the same which is why we have 2 different development forums for them.
And if you want to try the camera app is in ausdim deodexed/zialigned XXALI5 rom , its in this thread somewhere just extract it out of there but your rom has to be deodexed aswell.

i9000 Custom Roms on i897

Is it possible to use the Galaxy S custom roms from the i9000 forum on the Captivate?
Im new to this part of XDA, seeing as I just picked up a pretty beat up captivate for 20$.
Before I get flamed or anything, Im just asking. I searched it up and went through nine pages and found no results answering my question.
IF there is a way, may you please link me to it?
Thanks.
Jhoopes517
Yes.
But u need a "Reoriented Kernel" for the firmware of the rom u want to flash...jvr, jw4 or whatever it is.
Search in the Dev forum of the Captivate. U probably will have to go back a ways.

Yes you can , you can go with either as long as you run the proper kernel .
I9000 with I9000 , 1897 with I897
the I9000 kernel will have the home and back buttons swapped but you can install button mapper , free n the market , and reasighn them
you can also run modified JB 4 at this time , Slim Bean , X Bean so on , but you will need to install the mapper program o XBean

Because the op didn't have a cappy 3 months ago. And 3 months of time on XDA can equal to 300-400 pages of posts, or more. If he posted in the development section, then flame on. But general sections are for inquiries such as this.
This info helped me, so thanks for bringing up a 3 month old thread

Hmm. I see so that's the story. Well, people here are too impatient. Its not like other ROMs can make their phone 2x as cool and fast as stock. Hell, I actually prefer stock. The only difference I see is Theme Chooser (Except ParanoidAndroid's total UI Customization and different modes). which by the way is already available for non-CM/AOKP ROMs. The only reason I want to get CM for this phone is for hopes that even when Sammy abandons this phone, we'd still be able to run a recent version of android. 4.2.2 is no big deal for me, its still jellybean for chrissakes. I'd tear the world apart if we were still on GB and KLP or whatever 5.X will be called is already out.
I guess its best to wait. We waited a pretty long time for jelly bean but why replace something that's not broken? Still is just software, I doubt those ROMs can satisfy me.
.end mOpinion
Sadly, there's no one left, OsamaGhareeb knows programming (he can help with the sources) but he's MIA here on Ace II section. Then there's hafizduddin, who builds the kernels. Aaaaand there's OldDroid who said he'd be getting an Ace II and build something for it but he's MIA now too (i think he's active but I don't think he'd get this phone IMO)
So, that said, anyone else here who knows programing/Linux operation?

ProBAM v4.4.2 "Strike!!" [CM10.2][PA3.99][HALOv2][PAC] for Galaxy S4 - ATT

I happened to find a rom when searching on GOO.IM a few weeks ago - at the time, the ROM - "PROBAM" was only available for the I9505 - NOTE 2 and HTC ONe I believe - I wrote the Dev and asked for an ATT Version and he gladly obliged. There is now a new update (yesterday)_ and it's even better than it was when I first found it.
. IT IS UNBEIEVABLE! Very fast - very smooth - and tons of options for personalizing your phone - I don't believe it is "lokified" so I think you will need to run auto loki when you flash, just in case.
Here is a link to their web site that will get you to the downloads: http://www.probam.net/romdownloads/
Here is the ProBam web site where you can get more information about the ROM: http://www.probam.net/probam-for-s4/
I have nothing to do with this ROM - I am not a developer - only spreading the word for what I believe is a first rate rom that is really very special.
If you try it and you like too - Don't thank me for telling you about it - - thank the Developer Codexc for the work he has done creating this rom.
I hope I am not out of place for 'reporting" on the rom's availability - but it is an awesome rom that deserves the attention and should be talked about. If I am out of place for posting this, please have the moderators delete this thread/post. ENJOY!

I suppose this is similar to Jelly bam - but it is definitely NOT a kang of Jelly Bam. The devs on this rom have followed all the rules (something that the Jelly Bam Devs did not do) when building this rom - and they have a great track record of building a very good rom for a number of different phones.

Noob Help Needed (Custom ROM Building)

Hey,
I am jumping the gun a bit but I was going to be getting involved in building custom roms for the S5 (once SS is available.) I figure I might as well start now and if we never get SS (I'm sure we will in due time) at least I will have started with getting experience.
I've searched the internet and found some great guides to building custom roms. I am not a total noob but am new to building roms.
I would like if you all could help me out and point me in a good direction on xda or the web for rom building information so I can give it a go!
Also, I would like it if you guys would comment as to what you look for in a custom rom (stock touchwiz of course) so I can begin researching different mods as well!
I know I look for a good theme with themed apks, adblock hosts, bloat removed, call recording mods etc..
Thanks for helping me out!
