Flashed TWRP to make a backup of my stock rom, but now I can't get rid of it to get back into a stock recovery to apply a ota.zip - is there any way to remove the twrp recovery?
you need to flash the correct recovery.img with fastboot. One can be found in the Droid RAZR HD utility HERE. However, I don't know what version device you got or if there are any differences between recoveries from one version to another. so, be careful.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

I used SuperOneClick to root my LG Optimus 2X. It was nice and easy with help from the tutorials you can find on the web.
rootme.bat via recovery and adb

Used toolkits, both found here, for both of my devices: RAZR XT910 and Nexus 7. Worked flawlessly the first time.
I've rooted my Desire with the unrevoked/revolutionary guide here on xda forums, quite a while back ago. Used CWM recovery afterwards. Flawless process.
The One V was also rooted with the guide here on xda, the easy one with htcdev. Not the hard root. My friend didn't want the hard root so I followed his orders, since it was his phone. Also flawless.
Kernel
I flashed pre-rooted kernel

I used exynos abuse app on my note 2 and then installed twrp.

Hello there, noob here, just made the switch from iphone to Note 2 and I'm loving it. I was very familiar with the jailbreaking process of the iphone and now I'm trying to learn how to do the same with my Note2.
I see there are a lot of variants depending on the carrier so I did some research and finally found what I needed to root note 2 SGH-i317 (ATT), used Odin and CWM and everything went very smooth, now I have a rooted note2 confirmed with the root_checker app.
On problem though, when I try to get into TRWP recovery mode so I can install roms/kernells if I do the Volume_up + Home+ power, I only get a black screen. Can't get into it and don't know what to do. My phone works fine though.
Any suggestions?
Should I re-root? Is it possible?
thanks in advance

thanks henisod for the quick responses. I will do the re-flashing, the odd thing is that it all went well on the first try.
Ok I am a bit confused and have a couple of questions
(1) What and where is the most current version of twrp touch for the xt925?
(2) Is there a touch version for cwm available?
Currently I am using twrp 2.2.2.1 I noticed when I flashed Aokp earlier that I got the repeating sd/0/0 folder I manually removed it but I been through this already on 4.2.2
Did I overlook something? And can someone point me in right direction?

Hi guys, question...up to now haven't had an issue flashing various custom ROMS on my Tab 2, but the latest PAC ROM is throwing a Status 7 error in CW Recovery so I think I need to update my Recovery....what's the latest/greatest version working for us and best place to find it?

Hey everyone! I received a Shield Portable in a trade about 2 weeks ago and it was already rooted with CWM recovery. Well since there is a system update that I need to take, CWM wont let me take the update. What I am in need of is the easiest way to obtain and flash the stock recovery img. Any help will do. Thanks in advance!
No help?

What you are looking for is the stock recovery.img, but unfortunately I have not seen it anywhere.
If the update is in this thread >http://forum.xda-developers.com/nvidia-shield/general/shield-tablet-otas-t2847116
you can download it and may be able to flash it in CWM. I was able to do that with my LG G Pad GPE....
Thanks man. I'll check it out.

Hi Guys,
If y'all still haven't found a solution, this is what I used to root and switch between recoveries, Shield RAM 1.1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2661067
