Battery is swollen?? Do you mean that the battery has physically gotten larger?

I had baseband firmware & imei Unkown issue, after loading the rom (Gingerbread 2.3.4 T959VUVKG4 ) via ODIN,
Then I guessed there should be a issue with the modem, then flashed different different modems via ODIN (ki1.tar.md5 / kh2.tar.md5 & etc) nothing worked for me...
then after reading a thread I tried above modem (kh2.tar.md5) + "T959VUVKG4" pit file combined via ODIN. phone went off never turned back...but now i could connect the device using following method:-
1. removing battery
2. plug cable + volup + down
3. plug battery
then it shows to DOWNLOADING MODE
however my PC doesnt recognize the USB driver it shows as UNKNOWN DEVICE in under Device Manager in my PC. I tried even reinstalling the Samsung USB driver no luck
any chance that i could get my phones life back ?
good news, i changed the cable then changed to another PC. then USB recognized via ODIN, I culd flash everything sucessfully
but the hard part is,,, i still have the UNKNOWN baseband & Imie issues, can someone instruct me what to do ?
read this may help.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1223765
I too have the same problem since this morning. I have Tmobile Samsung Galaxt 4G SGT959V and after rooting and downloading kernel files, it was only going to the T Mobile logo. Last night I was bale to get into the download mode and then I started downloading Gingerbread. Now my phone is not powering up. I called up samsung and as it under warranty, they are ready to fix. My problem is they will find out what I was doing and this might breach some samsung regulation. not sure???
I would like to know what should I do for getting my phone power on or in download mode. I have tried all the above mentioned steps, but it just not works. Duh!!
Please someone help!!
Rooting phone voids warrenty. Turn Odin on and then hold volume up and volume down at the same time and while doing that plug in your USB cable to get into download mode. Even if nothing shows on the phone Odin may still recognize it. Try it a few times if the first attempt don't work.

I tried doing this several times. But Odin dont recognize nor does my phone powers on. Do you think it drain the battery while rooting and downloading?
Try removing the battery first then, hold volume button up and down simultaneously then plug your USB cable its recommended you have Odin up and ready while your doing this. Make sure your battery is charged before you for any of this! Good luck ;-)

Phone isnt powering on... I dont even see battery icon when hooked to charger.
Your phone may be hard bricked as in dead and lifeless. Im not sure if Samsung will be able to tell if your phone was flashed because its dead.Samsung slaves usually use different battery and usb to see if phone turns on,if it doesn't they then inspect phone for physical damage and then they send you a refurbished one. T-mobile are a bunch of noobs they wouldn't know anything so push for a new phone with them. Could you please explain exactly what you did? My guess is odin flashing with wrong firmwares or kernels.
hi
i had the same hard brick problem as above but for me it was weird. all i wanted at the time was to get rid of the bloat where and i did after which i unrooted and the phone worked fine. the weird thing is later i went in to download mode by accident and before i could do anything the phone was bricked. tmobile replaced My phone but if this has happened to anyone else please reply

I am in a state of fear, fear that if i turn off my phone and turn it back on it wil go straight into emergency mode.
Its very wierd,my pc running on windows 7 doesnt recognise my phone(all drivers are intact and installed) in both emergency mode and booted mode and even when the phone is off and i plug in usb,the yellow screen of emergency just pops up. Also i cant boot my phone cause one touch at the power button and yellow screen pops up. The good news though is,after countless attempt at taking out battery then inserting it again and trying to power on,the phone wil boot normaly again. And one more wierd thing is, if wen inserting the usb,the emergency screen doesnt pop up(happens rarely) but lg logo does, then my laptop recognises my phone, and in this way i change my rom from OpenOptimus 2.2.01 to stock v2.3 using kdz updater. Right now its booted and runing normaly except for usb mass storage mode and usb tethering(cuz my laptop doesnt recognize my phone)
I know smethng is wrng with my phone bt i dnt knw wat. Pls help me!

Calm down man.
Let's try and go through the options.
Was it always like this with the yellow screen? WHat did you do to get it there?
Try a reset in settings manually. This will bring it back to brand new state.
Hopefully we will be able to resolve this.
Hit Thanks if you found this useful.
First thing if something is wrong is a factory reset.
second, be precise on what you did that soft-bricked your phone...
Thanx in advance for trying to help.
Wel i am nt realy sure how and wen the problem started.
As far as i remembered my phone had the folowing.
1. Cmw recovry(from rom manager)
2. Link2sd wit 500 mb ext2 partition in sd card.
3. Open optimus rom 2.2.02
4. Set cpu to enhance gaming.
And as far as i remember, the problem started wen i tried to boot into cmw recovery.
Pls help.

Try this,
Switch off the phone then, turn on the phone pressing and holding Power + Home + Down volume key at the same time (for five seconds), the phone will turn on and perform factory reset immediately.
Hit thanks if you found this useful.
I already did factory reset but the problem persists. Any other way please.

Maybe, it is a hardware issue. The phone being physically broken? Because if the prob persists even after a reset and a flash, well I am a bit unsure.
Could it be the bootloader?and if so, is there a way to fix it back to factory setting? Cuz i dnt think it wil boot at all if its hardware problem.

Hey,
Anyway, it could be a small hardware issue like disconnected wire or broken circuit or somthing.
You could try and re-lock the bootloader.
definitely hardware failure coz my ancient z71 acting almost juz like that before
update
after looping in emergency mode for few days, and me trying to revive it my phone is now dead.
i cant do anything with it except take it to service centre.:crying:
So i got a lg p925g its a Canadian version of the optimus 3d.
I go to the cwm menu factory data reset and clear all the caches then i install the new cwm from zip. It finished installing and i click shutdown.
The screen goes black and now it wont power back on!!!. The only way to get it to show a sign of life is to connect it to computer with no battery
and the ompa4430 device pops up for a second and then disappears.
Is there anyway to fix this, i have been trying to use omap4boot but it just stays at the"waiting for ompa44xx Device"
And never detects the phone.
Please If someone could help me it would be greatly appreciated!!!
Did you read the resurrection guide? It got me started when I had the same problem. Eventually I fixed the problem by fastbooting the flash recovery. But first you have to get the omap4 driver working.

Put it to charge for a while, then while still connected to the AC charger, turn it on.

When it goes blank after the Google logo, does it reboot and show the Google logo again, and does this repeatly? When the phone is off, hold down the POWER button and the VOLUME Down button at the same time to get into boot loader. Can you get there?

install sdk, run monitor - if you see it doing stuff in the monitor window, then its not bricked. it either needs to be reflashed or wiped from recovery. good luck!
