Has anyone got the tab plus working on AT&T? I've been poking at it and haven't had much luck.

I'm looking at purchasing the Samsung Galaxy tab 7" Wi-Fi. I have been reading abouth rooting and unlocking voice. If I get one (i currently have at&t iphone), am I better off getting the wifi one (GT-P1010) or the at&t one (SGH-I987)?
My contract is out with AT&T and i don't want to have to renew!
I'm looking to use this as a possible only phone and tablet - will have to see if too clunky to get rid of phone, but...) Any suggestions?
thanks so much for your input.
Im in the uk and im thinking of buying a second hand galaxy tab p1000.
I think it was bought in american on the sprint network.

And how would i go about this.
Thanks

I tried looking around earlier but I couldn't really find a definite answer. With Metro's bring your own device plan
it says the galaxy nexus is compatible to be flashed to metro, is this correct?
Are all galaxy nexus's unlocked or do I have to buy a specific model, like the verizon or sprint model?
It doesn't really specify on their website.
Any help would be appreciated.
I was wondering if anybody has successfully put the motherboard from an AT&T Galaxy S3 in a Verizon SCH-I535 frame?
I compared the motherboards on EBAY using pictures of each and they look to be identical shape. Can anyone confirm this for me?
Thanks so much for your time as my Verizon phone gets crap speeds with AT&T.
I forgot to get the actual model number but I guess it's the international version? In any case, does anybody have an actual experience of bringing an unlocked S6 bought directly from Samsung to t-mobile? I'm trying to figure that out. Don't want to get back to the states and find out it doesn't fully work on some/all T-Mobile bands.
Ah never mind, I found it. It is sm-g920fd. Should have used searched first. Looks like it will work with T-Mobile, just incase anybody reading this is searching too.
