hey guys, I am having an issue with lte, I live in an lte zone, I have reflashed, restore and flashed a few radios but I am not getting lte.
current rom/ cm10 nighlies
what happens is i turn on lte and it gets a blank signal bar and defaults back to h+
any radios/roms/kernal combo's you think would fix that lemme know.
tried / aokp milestone 6
/ some cm9/10 kernels
/ official rogers radio
/ note radio
/ a few other radios
also tried a resend to switch from providers side/
I was debating trying a factory gb rom just to see.
I am not sure what I can do, I cannot odin to stock either cause my usb port is broken.
*with koodo mobile - I have lte sim, have gotten lte on aokp milestone before in my region, and have apn's set properly

problem resoved with flashing to an at&t base.(I assumed having an I727r that I should stickwith rogers and was only flashing rogers base/aosp base) I am going to try to go back to cm10 now from this.. wish me luck

After flashing my GS4G , i can no longer connect to anything 3G or higher. Only edge speed for my data connectivity. I usually get 3G/4G but not anymore. Any way to fix?
can you be a bit more specific? what did you flash onto the phone? what modem are you using?
as a general rule, I would just reflash the entire rom after a factory reset/cache wipe. sounds like it didnt flash properly. also, try to change your modem.
You could also check to see if your data settings are set to GSM only or GSM/WCDMA.
That's in settings > wireless and network > mobile network > network mode.
I remember after flashing something this one time (can't remember what it was), my data settings were changed to GSM only.

where do you live at? i know tmo had 4g outages all over the pennsylvania, ohio, and west virginia.

Well, that ROM is already a problem, lol. Get the newest KI3 GB. You can't miss it in the Development Section. It's as stable as KH2 and just may be faster!
KF1 and KF2 are practically inferior builds of GB now.
Hi, all.
So I unlocked my HTC Status, installed CWM, and installed SuperDroid rom.
Everything worked OK, but now it's stuck in EU format. Now, instead of E for edge or 3G for 3G, it says R for roam (along with a popup about being in roaming), an H for...home? and occasionally shows an E which I'm guessing is edge. No 3G displays.
While everything else works, what worries me is the constant switch into roaming. I'd like to reinstall the stock ROM, but all the stock ROMs I find are for euro / asian versions.
Has anyone in the US with the Status experienced the same problems, and maybe has any ideas I can try? Or does anyone have a stock ROM I can boot back into?

All the roms I have found all use the Asia or EU base roms. I reverted back to the updated stock rom.

I recently decided to flash a jeallybean ROM since most of them are getting really great and we don't have any word on the official update. Unfortunatly, I'm now unable to get a data connection on my HOX. It's the rogers version which I unlocked and I'm now using on the Bell network. Before flashing, LTE worked fine with the stock sense ROM, but now I don't have any data at all.
ROMs I've tried :
AOKP, MIUI and CM10.
I've tried to : set the data connection to GSM only, nothing, to LTE only, nothing, to WCDMA only, nothing. I've tried all the APNs I've found (pda.bell.ca, pda2.bell.ca, inet.bell.ca). On AOKP it sometimes said "Error while searching for network". WiFi, texts and calls work fine.
If anyone could help me, it would be really appreaciated. Otherwise I'll just revert to Rogers ROM. Thanks alot!
I cant offer any help, but I'm having a similar issue recently. I was on a nightly build of CM10 (from 10/06/12 I believe). I upgraded to a newer build (from 10/10) and I get no data over cell. I flashed it back and things were fine.

Before flashing jelly bean roms you need to flash a sense rom then do full wipe and install cm10 or aokp..

Every device has its own nuances, as do various ROMs. So I'd advise posting this in the forum specific to your device.
Still no data connection.
I am having the same issue with my AT&T One X phone.
The phone was running 2.20 before it was unlocked/rooted. Installed TWRP, was a noob and forgot to save a backup, fastbooted the boot.img, flashed AOKP and CM10 successfully. With both of these ROMs, I could not get internet to work via cellular connection. I have tried everything with the APNs (even had AT&T help me setup APN settings) and still no mobile data connection. I can still receive/send SMS/calls, use bluetooth and wifi, just no mobile internet.
I'm not entirely sure what to do next. I attempted to go back and flash the UrDroid 4.1 Stock Sense ROM, but after fastbooting it's boot.img and attempting to flash with TWRP, I got a signature verification failure. Got scared and restored back to AOKP (I remember to make a backup this time.)
Thoughts? Sorry for being a noob.

I am in a "4G" area (HSPA+) but I am also a hour drive away from LTE. I have tried APNs for both, but AT&T recommended I stick to the LTE APN. AT&T had me go to Settings->More->Mobile Networks->Network Operators and the phone just sat there searching without finding anything. I just did that above operation again and it found AT&T and I selected it. It spins on "Registering on AT&T..." for a few minutes and eventually errors out "Cannot register on this network at this time."
Have you tried switching off LTE by selecting "GSM/WCDMA Auto" in Settings?
I've had data problems on certain ROMs, where turning off LTE got the HSPA+ connection working.
In that case, it was probably a base of build.prop not playing well with AT&T's network. Although I would think the ROMs you mentioned would have these issues worked out at this point (and for some time now).

When I switch to "GSM/WCDMA Auto", it immediately switches itself back to the LTE setting. This is concerning.

Flashed back to stock, radio is working and get 4g. Flash JB (SLIM JB), everything is fine. My gf could not hear me well while on the phone, it was echoey so i tried to flash several of the different radios for the I727 and nothing works. Error when connecting to network, no radio, no IMEI, basband unknown, etc.
What am I doing wrong?

That situation usually does not happen to me. But when it does what I do is: Take out the SIM and microSD, flash a darkside wipe on recovery (search on the forum) , flash a working modem for my device ( not a blaze or telus one), then only then flash the rom. Boot it, wait it settle for 10 min, turn off, put the SIM card back a restart.
It should work.
If it doesn't try to flash the original rom via ODIN ( can look how on vin's thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1652398)
Only thing I've ever had to do is to reset the APN.

If I flash the original ATT or Rogers modems that came with ICS without RILs it works. Baseband shows... Most of the other modems I have flashed (with RIL) either do not work at all (no IMEI or network connection at all in most cases) or a few work but baseband is unknown.

Glad it worked out for you. Just to clarify, but as far as I know baseband Unknown means nothing regards radio functionality.
I live in a fringe LTE area and for the &^$#*Ing life of me can't disable LTE.
I have a 2.20 at&t one x on hboot 1.14, rooted and running latest CM10 nightly .
EVERY option, whether from settings, a widget toggle, even the *#*#4646#*#* special menu IMMEDIATELY AND INSTANTANEOUSLY switches LTE back on when i select any other option.
My phone is completely useless in my apartment without this option. This is why I flashed CM10 in the first place. Please, someone help
Unfortunately my response is light on details, but what about setting up an APN that doesn't access LTE
Might want to try reflashing the rom or if your on an old build factory reset then flash the latest.

I remember on some roms when my lte was being funky it wouldn't let me disabled lte it would just switch back instantly try a sense Rom
The latest CM10 nightlies have this problem. Try flashing a nightly from 12/01 to 12/05. I'm pretty sure this problem appeared with the 12/07 nightly. I have been experiencing this as well. When it does work however, it works great and sticks. So try switching to nightly from a few nights ago.
