I just DG to GB from ICS.... i totally fogot to take the precaution of asking experts here, and now its gone.....
i just flashed stock 2.3.6. indian rom to SGR, and it successfully passed...
phone boots, and it say touch android to continue, from then on it just shows loads of Process.xxxxxx.xxxxxxx has stopped....around 15 to 20 FC's...
phone doesnt work at all...just stuck there,,,,,
i flashed ICS rom again, in that also same problem....same FC's...but atleast i can seee the homescreen....
now what to do ???
P.S- Ignore the spells, i am tensed, i shud give ma phone to SSC tomo, thats why i was flashing a stock ROM -_-
also searched a bit about this issue, didnt get an perfect answer..
Please help me fast

first of all did you formated u'r partitions (factory reset) after flashing STOCK rom 2.3.5 Indian rom ?
now to your problem
flash ardatdat ICS kernel 4.2 as you are using ICS and then try the whole process again.
make sure after flashing stock Rom you should wipe cache, dalvik cache and factory restore.
I did same when I was Downgraded my SGR from ICS to GB

I'd flashed GB(Indian) via ODIN being on ICS, there was no brick that time.

Can you enter the download / recovery mode?
If yes then you can re-flash the Neo ROM or the Indian stock ROM.
I'll suggest you flash the stock ROM & use it for a couple of days to check if the handset works normally or not. If it does work normally then you can flash any ROM you want but if it doesn't then give it to the SSC.
Hope this helps.

Cheers !
buddy there is no need to create a whole new topic for such small issues. this question can be asked at topic of neo rom. do not spam the board.
Sorry.

No need to be sorry buddy it's completely fine & you can start a new thread as you can't be sure if it was the Neo ROM which was the cause of the problem.
If you ask why did it happen then it could be for a variety of reasons like you recently flashed something which was the cause of the problem or the OS could also get corrupted.
Dint flash anything recently. Was using the v2.1 only since a while...

Actually, flashing thru odin is Samsung things and it will increase the counter. So, almost every time, I will customize the ROM to flash thru normal CWM flash zip process. At least, I am just 'copying' files to /system/ and all operations are controlled by the updater-script

Yes Ardatdat. I do the same thing. For all the Stock ROMs which i flash via odin, i used to make CWM package. I used to do that so that always i dont have to depend on my PC. Not for the baseband, But atleast for the PDA and CSC part.

Thx for the info buddy. Like to know once thing. When u tried to downgrade to GB via odin, what was ur ICS system info. Is it rooted.? Deodexed? Rooted Kernel? Because I feel Kernel is the problem here. The Kernel that came with this ICS is not a safest one. Ardatdat can speak more about it.
Thanks mj...

Yes, I would love to, but without the kernel source, I could not do much things. At least, I would not get the kernel src before Samsung provide the official ICS update.

[Q] Wifi Not working after rooting !

First of all i would like to tell you that i am a newbie
I rooted my Samsung Galaxy S LCD (GT-I9003) Having infor as follows --
Firmware Version :2.3.6
Baseband Version:I9003DDLE1
Kernel Version:[email protected]#1
Build Number:GINGERBREAD.DDLF2
I followed the below guide
androidadvices-com/root-samsung-galaxy-sl-i9003-gingerbread-ddkp3-firmware/ (please replace '-' with dot)
Now after rooting my wifi is not working when i switch it on its shows error
To check whether my phone is properly rooted or not (as this my first experience) i used the app "root check basic" which says "Sorry, this device does not have proper root access" .
Ultimately in order to run my wifi back i reset my phone and wiped data but still the wifi is not working !
Any help would be much appreciated !
Thanks for Reading !
You can try create a fake network?

flash the kernel on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1355675 with odin to root your phone and the wifi will work
just flash another kernel to get everything started again.. don't forget to wipe caches
Try the Xda Bam Kernel ...
It works awesome !!

dude. flashing from normal GB to value pack firmware will have wifi error if you rooted with old cfroot kernel. as current only bam kernel is using the value pack source code. so bam kernel is the one.

Now, my tab is on Paranoid ROM v2.5. Everything OK and also ICS ok. But when i tried to flash Honeycomb, my tab got bootloop. Than I flash ICS firmware, its become OK again.
That's why I'm asking are there any ways to downgrade or what are preventing the downgrade process.
Thanks in advance
After flash HC, it will bootloop..so then u need to enter stock recovery..then wipe data n cache..then reboot again..it will work coz i always do like that..
