If you are rooted you can backup all data/apps/settings using Titanium Backup.
Also, if you have a custom recovery like 4ext or cwm you can backup your current rom (what is called nandroid backup).
+1 nandroid backup & Titanium backup is what I use. If I ever get in a pinch I just restore my nandroid back up and I'm good to go!! Always always always do a nandroid backup! It WILL save your butt sooner or later when you need it! I know it's saved mine a few times!

Hi,
A Super wipe will wipe all user data, and the ROM off the phone.
Make sure you back it up with Google ,Titanium Backup or 3rd party app from the market.
I would use nandroid or CWM backup. I haven't had good luck with Titanium backup for ICS. Also if you don't have paid version of Titanium you have to manually install each app.

Your contacts will be erased, but should be synced with your google account.
If I update versions will I need to restore all my apps with titanium backup and renew all my settings again?
If you update, no, all apps will remain, if you wipe and flash then yes,
Note: never restore system app data from different android versions/bases

How to restore backup
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using xda app-developers app
From titanium backup you go into the application and you will see on the very top a menu of three sections overview, backup/restore , schedules . You press backup/restore then it brings you to your applications. Press on the application you would like to restore press restore , apps and data and it will restore that particular application. Repeat the process to restore another application. Sometimes for whatever reason T.B won't seem to restore the really big applications like big games etc. But try it it could work for you . I hope I've helped. Any questions just ask I'll be happy to help explain if possible. Best wishes

Hey guys, I'm not happy with the way that my Sensation is working lately. Feels slow, many random reboots.
I want to wipe and maybe delete sd card. If I backup apps using titanium backup, and I'll delete all files in the sd card (except titanium backup folder, songs, rom etc) will I be able to restore all apps? I'll do a full wipe as well.

Back up all apps...then transfer that backup to your pc. After that...do a factory reset from settings on your phone and you'll see a difference. Restoring data may have caused you problems. Only restore apps...and star downloading data thats only req.
Good luck!

Also if your still feeling slow you can try a different kernel. I'm using PYD-X stable 3.1, with mod . It's very fast. With the mod you can go into terminal emulator and do a flush when your feeling a lag , it really works well. You can read and find both in sensation android development. Check it out. Best wishes .

Hi,
Look at ROM CLEANER
Titanium backup has that.

Yes I use titanium backup pro because it has a batch install. You can press one button and all you're apps and data install. In regular version you do the restore one by one. It's a great back up system. It even moves apps to SD card if you like. I highly recommend it! Best wishes

Hi,
Titanium Backup will not do accounts.
Usually a combination of TB and Rom Cleaner works well.
Tested titanium backup but it didn't work. I'll try with rom cleaner. Thanks a lot.
