That's actually what I'm using it on. I may try and tear the apk open and swap some stuff between that and the actual one for our phone. I really like the stock gs3 one, updated look and graphics, lol.

NFL mobile works like a charm, but my verizon asks for an update and can't find in market since it was "added" to the system. would this be due to the new JB build that went live a few days ago? Out of curiosity was the my verizon app just pulled from the galaxy nexus build? No real big problem. I can use the ICS my verizon to pay bills and such, just curious. I am running cm10.

Not sure I fully understand your problem, but maybe an option in Titanium Backup that allows you to tie an app to the market would fix the problem of not being able to update?

First I just want to thank you so much for this!!! I hated not having VVM and didn't really want to sign up for Google's voicemail stuff. Thank you so much for this !!!
Did you ever have any luck getting the new version of the visual voicemail app to work?
Sent from one of the many Anthropomorphic Personalities on the Disc

This works awesome, even on CM10.1 . I don't care about the style of the voicemail status, I just wanted one that worked and this was it. Somewhere I found basically the same 2 files, but I would get force closes when I first booted after flashing verizon apps in recovery. However, with yours, it worked right away.
Cool! I hate Google voice, at least in my limited experience it didn't work well, so I appreciate you posting these!

I never use voicemail. If it's something important they can text me. Voicemail is just an annoyance to me.

+1 on this, thank you for posting this link!

No problem guys. I will spend some time on the newer apk and get it going. Been spending to much time on my note 2 lol

The salient question is why would Verizon block owners of their flagship phone (okay, maybe the Droid Charge is that now, with the "Droid" branding") from the app at all, let alone for so long. Damn phone's been on the market for 10 weeks now and still no TB-compatible MyVerizon app. Very weird.
Look here at Post #6. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=14277108
The release is a verizon apk, however they have not released it because they do not want LTE users usage to be changed by having their current usage easily accessible. It will help them price out the tiered plans that we are getting this summer.

Uhm no... Usage is just as easily accessible without the app. The same number of steps as if you are checking on WiFi. From what I have read it works on the other 4G devices but the bolt. If they are doing what you are saying then they should not have theirs working either.

Where is all the developement?

I have had this phone since day one.. and I love it more than life lol xD but the matter at hand... I have watched development for this phone decay.. all roms are either getting abandoned, or support is just dying out.. this isn't applying directly to just AOSP, or AOKP, either.. but touchwiz as well.. should I switch to a different device? Ima nonstop hacker, and used to build roms myself.. but since I started tattooing again, I have no free time.. any good development phones out there?

you can only do so much with the same version of touchwiz jellybean. this device will most likely not see another carrier update. aosp will be the only way future updates are brought to the device. carriers specifically do this so you keep upgrading devices. that being said, why dont you have a note 2 already?

They did announce that feature pack update, plus on release the device was given its 2GB of ram just for future support of new android versions.
My guess is it will get 4.2.1 official, but that will be the end of OTA. I have a feeling though CM and AOSP roms will be around for a while. Too many people have the US models of the GS3's, and due to the fact MOST of the code is similar between devices, it should not be hard to keep them all going as long as theres someone who cares to work on them.

The development hasn't stop just slowed down. There are 4 new ports and some of the older roms have moved on to 4.2(mainly CM,liquid smooth and slim bean). The other roms are still being updated. There is also a new ROM based on 4.2 called Pure Google. Team Baked is working on a 4.2 based ROM.

I would imagine all the bells and wistles that the GS4 has such as air view and motion would have to be part of the GE.... if not then it would take alot away from the "life companion" and all the stuff that makes the GS4

Its fully working on Task630 and AOKP, Carbon is releasing it shortly.
Guys... The kernel that Samsung made for the GE phone bridges some gaps in the frameworks between touchwiz and AOSP. The touchwiz camera app is being ported over to AOSP as we speak (there's still a few bugs but its working 90% at this point).
This could have potentially opened the floodgates to have any touchwiz apps on AOSP ROMs.

Ok make sure you TWRP backup your install always just incase.

[ROM] T217S - Anyone Interested

I've pretty much retired from ROM development, but I recently built a rom based off of StockT217S for personal use. Not much in regards to mods as Xposed handles all of that, but it is fully themed with most stock removed. Darker and more colorful than stock. With Wanams's xposed module, it make for a nice looking fully functionally rom. Just wanted to post this to see if there is any interest. I'll post some screenies this evening. Any sprint users that have run my Goodness series of roms for Evo, Epic Touch, S3, Note2 and Nexus5 know what to expect visually. Thanks to team blackout and gunthermic for some inverted gapps and images as well as others across xda. Lots themed.

Most have been updated to latest and are inverted. Some still need updated. If there are special gapps you want to use just change them out.

I've posted a test zip and some screenshots in the op, give it a run and provide some feedback, lets make this a community thread. Maybe together we can build a cool rom for this tab.

I'm downloading now and report back once I get it flashed. Thanks again Mijjah!
Wow - finally a big name developing for the t217s - you are my hero. I will gladly test on my tab 3 later today! I'm more into aosp builds and whatnot but I dont see that being very likely anytime soon. PM me if you want. Ill be a guinea pig.
Everything installed correctly and this is running great. Does anyone know how to turn on sms on hangouts? I've gone into hangout settings and there isn't the usual turn on sms button.
Downloaded yesterday and so far, running really good. Very nice job sir. Only issues I've run into so far is I still have issues with the camera, video recording skips and jumps, but nothing do with the Rom i don't think, also it goes thru an android update every time reboot, like it's wiping cache every time.

I haven't tried the camera yet, but I don't have the android updating issue. Have you gone back into recovery and tried wiping again?

I dropped the video down to 640 and that seems to have fixed it, just can't use the higher setting
