Rooted Stock JellyBean On Galaxy S3 - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Android Deve

I was wondering how one would root the galaxy S3 and flash stock Jellybean on it, would it be possible? I have only rooted my Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7 before and it was very easy, but this is obviously more difficult. Is there a way to do it? I have the gt-I9305t Model, on Telstra 4G.

Do you have the S3 or the S3 LTE.
If the i9305 LTE there are several threads here that describe how to root, this is the one I folowed; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1914394 but I would recommned this; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1935570
Make sure your actual phone model is the supported or you can brick it.
If you do not have the LTE then head over to http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1685, I would follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703488 or just go through the thread as there is probably just a rom you can flash via Odin which is pre-rooted.
It is all very simple, just make sure you do some reading first.
EDIT: Sorry, just saw you posted your model number. the 9305t is different so just search the forums as the ones I listed will probably brick your phone.

Why have you opened another thread for some thing that is already available click on c.f. root cwm recovery thread by aus dim this thread will be closed for sure. You don't even have to use search it's on the first page of this forum
It works for all I9305 and I9305t
There is no stock jelly bean Rom like cm at the moment.

[Info] Telstra Galaxy S2 4G Root

Hey all,
Just wanted to let everyone know i used the root/cwm mod for "SGH-I727 and SGH-I727R Skyrocket" on this phone last night and it worked perfectly.
This new galaxy s2 4g is telstra latest released phone which only came out yesterday.
For those wondering phone model is actually "I9210T"
Crikey, Mate...cheers!
I am assuming then that this has the Qualcomm processor if CWM and root work.
Have you tried flashing any Skyrocket/Rogers roms yet?
Edit: Hmmm....looks like this is basically the international Samsung Galaxy SII LTE. It is nice to see that our community continues to grow. Just be careful when flashing roms. The new ICS leak works for the AT&T Skyrocket but does not work for Rogers yet so you never know until you try. Also, we can flash SGSII T989 roms as well but have to use our own kernel because the orientation is flipped.

No haven't tried any other rom's yet, only got the phone yesterday. So today is the test to see how long battery life is on 4G.
Also forgot to mention i had to download superuser from the market, as the one supplied from the download link failed to install through CWM.

Note that I've started a thread on OCAU about this phone.. forums.overclockers.com.au/showpost.php?p=14233218
Edit: Ooh. Just noticed you're from Rocky. Hi from Gladstone!
Good to see someone close to home on such a big forum. Will check out ocau.

It would be interesting to test modem/radio from your phone on t989 or i727.
Does anybody have flashable modem?
any new info or updates before i mess around with mine ?

[How To][Root & Recovery] easy way to root i9500

What surprised me when i looked up for the root and recovery for the S4 and didn't find the easy few steps like i had with older Samsung phones in Forums here on XDA but it actually exists. why no body put it here?
i was so worried that the Exynos octa will make the samsung flagship root as hard as the rest if not harder.
galaxys4root.com has the way to do the root s4 i9500 with odin in few steps exactly like S3. you don't need to download 1.5GB pre-rooted roms or anything else big for that matter.
i don't know if i could (according to the forum law) do the complete "how to" right here or even share this, but i'm sure guys here know what to do with this
the link to the method: http://galaxys4root.com/galaxy-s4-root/how-to-root-galaxy-s4-cwm-method/

this method is for the international i9500 octa and for the other kinds of S4 there are other methods available now.
this method is already posted in Dev section a few days ago: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255652

[Q] about flashing roms

I'm now using Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300 with android 4.1.2. Recnetly, I want to flash the S5 roms posted by other developers. However, those roms are in android 4.3 or 4.4.2. Can I directly flash it or do I need to upgrade my device to android 4.3 first?
thanks so much!
You can't flash a s5 ROM onto your s3, it will brick.

ok, i looked into the s3 forum and i see the s5 rom there.
this is either a rare instance where another phones rom is compatible or more likely what is known as a "port". it wasnt obvious right off what was the case.
either way, sorry for the confusion, it would be ok to flash that as long as its says its compatible with your phone.
generally speaking, you cant just grab a rom for any phone and flash it to another. that would result in a brick, and i jumped to conclusions and thought that was what you were trying to do.
as far as, if you need to upgrade first, im not sure about that.
some roms require you to be on a specific version first, otherwise it will bootloop after you flash the rom.
reason being, roms dont usually replace all parts of the software, but are built off or made to work with certain versions specifically because the use some of those non replaced parts to work correctly.
i would read through a few pages of the rom post. most likely someone has asked if it will work on whatever version or stated what version you need to be on for it to work.
if you cant find any answer, then i would ask the question there.
sorry i cant be of more help.
one bit of advice that i always follow myself, read into flashing back to stock and download all needed files and tools first. this way, if you have any issues, or just dont like the rom, you already have a backup plan in place to get your phone working again like you want it.
just my 2c hope that helps.

[Q] I want to put Cyanogenmod on my SCH-i535.

Hi there xda people,
Since all you cool people seem to be doing amazing things with your Galaxy phones, I bet this is an easy question for you.
Quick question: Since I have upgraded my SCH-I535 to Android 4.4.2 am I good to use heimdall to flash (if that is even the right word) ClockworkMod recovery on there. And then use ClockworkMod recovery to install CyanogenMod?
Ok here are the details:
I am trying to put CyanogenMod on my Samsung Galaxy SIII (Verizon) Model SCH-I535. Never done this before but I am not afraid of the command line and I am running Ubuntu on my desktop.
I have been diligently reading through the instructions on the CyanogenMod site because I cannot afford to brick my phone and I am a little confused. Please set me straight.
A few versions back CM unified all Galaxy S III variants into one (d2lte). Instructions for 2dlte say
"Warning: The d2vzw variant cannot follow these installation instructions. For this variant, reference the device-specific installation instructions"
But when I go to the instructions for d2vzw it says:
"you must be a 4.2.2 or older build or this will not work"
According to the specs in "About Phone" I am on 4.4.2
So do you all use heimdall to put a custom recovery on the SCH-I535? If so will ClockworkMod do the trick?
If so what variant of CyanogenMod do I install? d2vzw or d2lte?
And finally, which version number of CM should I use to make sure all the bells and whistles work? CM10, CM11?
There is a similar question to this one on the CyanogenMod forums and no one has answered it.
Thanks to anyone that can give me some reliable advice!

Your on a locked bootloader. You cannot run any custom roms. Reverting back to a previous version of Android is no longer an option. The only choice or even chance you have at this point is installing safestrap and running one of the few locked bootloader roms that are available

Hey thanks for the heads up! I would have totally bricked my phone. As I have been searching more I pieced together the fact that for the SCH-i535 if you took the android 4.3 update you got the locked boot loader. Ah well, I guess I will have to spring for a phone that isn't so locked down.

Keep your eye on Craigslist for an S3 that isn't locked down. Or stick with what you have and pop on Superlite. It's stock, but at least it's debloated. Good luck!

[Jailbreak]Root Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (Verizon- i925) - Root/Jailbreak/Recovery

It's 2016, and I need to know the truth about rooting the I925. I reset it to factory settings and here is what I have:
Model SCH-I925
Android Version = 4.1.2
Kernel Version 3.0.31-1481643
Build # JZ05454K.I925VRAMK1
Hardware Version I925.03
Is is possible to put Cyanogen on this?
I have tried several ways and the only successful way I have rooted it was King Root. But I was never able to get a recovery on there. I used Heimdall, according to the Cyanogen Website, with no success. I really thought CASUAL was the answer, but now I see that it doesn't work with the updated version. I need the pro on here to help me! I really want cyanogen on it! I am a newbie and using Windows on this..
Try the forum for your model .
I too fall into the same category and have not found a definite answer, has the MK1 stumped all who come against it? Or is root and unlocked b/l a trade secret? I have rooted many devices in my past from G1 to EVOs to newer devices and nothing has been more or less unknown around here like this device is....what gives??
What locked bootloader

It's hard to find a good how-to with this one it seems. There are many tutorials but usually for the other variants and not the Verizon one. The ones that seem to be for the right device use apps to install a recovery but the apps don't seem to support this model either.
I guess there is no luck for this tablet at all... I got it for cheap at this point (4 years after its release)! And there doesnt seem to be a way to even downgrade

So this means there is no fix for Galaxy note 10.1 SCH-I925. Would you happen to know if Casual is available for this model somewhere in this forum. Thanks for your response. mariomr
No sorry no idea .
the only thing that is achieved is to root, unfortunately there is no way to unlock the bootloader to install TWRP
I also found the 4 stock files to recover by odin, but I did not verify it
sorry for my english

Been a while like years since I rooted mine, but it was easy peasy, with Framaroot.
