It's an app that gets activated when the tab gets putted in a Samsung Car Mount Kit for the Galaxy Tab. It show a minimal screen with large buttons, for. e.g. music, maps, phone etc.

Thank you for the explaination. Now, I am clearer of function of this apps.

Having problems use this to diagnose them.

If your having problems with your device or you just want to make sure all your hardware is working correctly, just type *#0*# in the dialer app. This will launch a self diagnostic tool that you can use to check all different aspects of the device.
It doesn't work on the T- Mobile SGS3... Tried it multiple times.

Also *#0#* works in Verizon and brings up a different menu
I tried both and got different screens.
*#0*# brought the first screen;
*#self*# brought the second screen.
I haven't tried either yet but I will.

Palm touch on Galaxy Tab 2

I recently discovered an amazing feature in galaxy tab 2.
It says we can pause or mute media by placing our hand over the screen.
However I could not figure out how to do it. I tried placing my hand in every direction, every orientation but it does not work.
Please help me figure this out.
I found it using app that displays activities about any app installed in the device and is named "utter".

Which firmware are you using? 4.1.2? I never saw this function in any Samsung Stock ROM...
EDIT: I see it needs a proximity sensor (no built in GTab 2 WiFi only)
Try placing your hand in the top of the screen, close to the camera...
Sent from my GT-P3110 using xda app-developers app
I have tried everything placing hand over proximity sensor, screen and even the camera but it does not work
I am on firmware 4.1.2 3G + Wifi model
This feature is hidden and hence no one knows about it....

I don't know, it requires the proximity sensor (I think that the WiFi only doesn't have) so I can't test it...
You found it on Settings or Music Player app?

What I did was that I was using an app to look out on activities
As i was going through various activities i discovered this one
I made a command opened it and found this feature....
It appears to be amazing if somehow it could work

Well, i think that even teh GSM + wifi version of teh GTab 2 doesn't have the proximity version... that's why Samsung "hide" this feature..
No it has the proximity sensor
I use it for a variety of tasks
But i turned them all off before trying for this feature....

Samsung didn't want to include this feature and that's it... maybe there is missing some libs, maybe if some dev could modify Music app to allow it.
it's kinda hard, at least for me!

If it's not paired with a Sony phone you will not get the reject call option.
If you are using another brand you must use the alternate app here to get the reject call option...

From what the developer told me, Call Handling Pro works only if you install it after having uninstalled the original Sony Call Handling.
Works perfectly with Galaxy S4.

Caller id

cannot remember the name of the app that I had that would allow me to continue playing games or whatever and it was a small box that would pop up at the bottom of the phone. Its making me crazy that I CANT remember the app name

What I understand from op request is he want a popup while on some game (screen on) at bottom in small window rather than full screen.
What I said is exactly doing same.
Here quoting op again. Didn't getting you.
