Having problems use this to diagnose them. - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

If your having problems with your device or you just want to make sure all your hardware is working correctly, just type *#0*# in the dialer app. This will launch a self diagnostic tool that you can use to check all different aspects of the device.

It doesn't work on the T- Mobile SGS3... Tried it multiple times.

If that doesn't work an alternative is *#self#.

That one worked. Thank you

Also *#0#* works in Verizon and brings up a different menu

I tried both and got different screens.
*#0*# brought the first screen;
*#self*# brought the second screen.
I haven't tried either yet but I will.

Is there a way...

To make all market apps show up? Like even the ones that are 'not compatible.' Yes i have tried chainfire but it doesnt seem to work for this device. Any info is appreciated.

What app is not showing up for you? . Because even non compatible ones would show up for me when i had my atrix. Learned the hard way changing the density made alot of apps non compatoble. But they still showd up and just said device not coompatible. But changing the density back to factory settings fixed it

RPG Grinsia is one of them.
EDIT: I did not mess with the pixel density.

I found it if u go to the website for the market . When you choose your device it actually says not available in this devices country??? Like the game is not available in the united states look here atbattached picture
And heres the web link to it. You can see the apps on the webpage ( even the incompatible ones) https://market.android.com/details?id=kemco.magitec.grinsia ( just choose browser to open the link not market)
As another example Asphalt 6 wasnt available until a couple days ago when it was updated to work with more devices. So your telling me im forced to just browse the online market to view all the apps? That way i can try to obtain success with Chainfire and experiment with more of the non compatible ones.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
There is not much you can do but "obtain" the apk file online somewhere, or find the application on a alternative market (SlideME, Amazon App Store, etc.)
Sometimes if I turn airplane mode on, then turn on wifi it seems to not recognize as att phone and shows me all the blocked Alps.

[Q] SwitchMe Profile Manager Crashes?

I've tried using the SwitchMe app multiple times but it always crashes before I can set up a profile. Is this just an issue on the Sidekick or am I missing something?
I would think it should be compatible cause I can download it from Google play.
Thanks!

Location problems

My phone after many ROMS has lost the ability to locate itself. I'm not talking about gps either. It simply can't use any network to locate itself. Anyone encounter this or know what to do?

Explain what locating itself means and some of the steps you have already taken and did/didn't work. Elaborate a little bit more so I can understand the issue

I can confirm that every time I flash a new Rom it takes a long time (2-5min) to locate itself for the first time.I haven't paid to much attention to see if it's getting worst.

I have just learned to assume people are. Especially people who are the only ones reporting a problem.
Your phone will use triangulation(cell), gps and wifi for location. It is really hard for me to believe that all three of those have failed. So either your missing the glaringly obvious or you are the unluckiest person ever to own the Rocket.
OMG I've been through this nightmare and here is what I did:
Yes you know and you already did it but make sure and here is why:
There is a Green button in apps menu (Google Settings) that overrides all the maps locations, ads, searches and other junk. Go in there and toggle location settings on/off.
There is a Blue button in apps (Google Now) and have that on too for now until you get it working but the Green (Google settings) supersedes all and blue doesn't have to necessarily be on.
Good luck champ!

Kitkat for T-Mobile lg g2 issues, anyone else having these problems?

OK I've come to realize there are a lot if bugs on Kitkat for instance I don't have any 4g no mobile internet at all another thing is my web browser experience is off the charts glitchy and the camera has a leggy capture which kinda ticks me off

I've lost data connection and had to reboot a couple of times since the update. It is annoying.
Did you guys try to factory reset?
Sent from my LG-D801 using Tapatalk
I didn't. But I installed clean.
None of those issues, but I did have the bluetooth wakelock until I did a factory reset. Battery is still ehh.
I was wondering, these problems are happening because maybe we installed by the lg suite or is it just the is that's messing up?

I actually do and I've noticed when I access the talk to text microphone it comes up differently. Like I'll say something and then it will give me like four or options of what I said I guess to make sure it got everything correctly. Not a big fan of it to be truthful but I love SwiftKey.

If you uninstall SwiftKey, you'll stop getting that error message for gapps. Don't know why it doesn't play nice with the G2's 4.4.2.
