Hi All,
I'm running Celestial Teapot R3 on my 845, whenever I try to boot into recovery the phone just hangs or reboots. I can't get into recovery via rom manager as well.
Other than that it's working fine but I would like to update my rom now.

Thanks for that, do you mean the rom manager app when you mention recovery mod?
If so then I've done that and it's still giving the same problems

Let me guess: no backup or anything?
if you have back up try restoring it from recovery...if you dont then reinstall the rom again from recovery.(wipe cashe data..system) should work just fine...at least is what i did in my nexus s..when i did this mistake..
Are your recovery and rom stock or custom? Cyanogenmod, CWM recovery etc...
If I were you, I would install CWM recovery for your phone and then install some custom rom, they are just awesome
Thx
Thank you all!!!
same problem
i have the same problem my phone just gets stuck with the google screen, but I already had cwm recovery installed but when I try to install cm9 or even cm7 its says that it cant open the package and the installation gets aborted. should Itry using the wug toolkit to flash the zips. and am i supposed to install sabra root toolkit on my phone...??? thanks.

I guess it coz of the wrong kernel for your current ROM. Try to flash kernel that's recommended for your current ROM. You can find that kernel inside the zip file. Good luck.

Search the forum and make sure the rom which u are going to flash which kernel supports it...
When u go to rom thread from where u have downloaded the rom...there must be mentioned a kernel or kernels which supports that rom..
Hope this helps

[RESOLVED] Can't go in Custom Recovery Mode

Hi, I'm sorry for the bad language because I'm not english and I'm sorry if I wrong section. I've tried to install a custom recovery on my Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo (GT-I9060). I've tried to install it by odin or by some apps, but I can't use the custom recovery mode! When I press the combination of Volum Up + Power + Home it goes in default recovery mode, so I can't install a file zip of a CyanogenMode. I've tried to go in custom recovery mode by some apps (ROM manager, TWRP manager..) but the app crashes. Any help, please?

Once you installed the recovery you have to enter it right away before booting for the first time or the stock recovery will overwrite it which is why your getting the stock recovery .

First of all see if a normal reboot fixes this.
If not.
In phone settings ->about phone
See if you have
1)baseband
2)imei
(Don't list them here just check if you have them)
Most probably this could be a problem with the ROM and can be fixed by flashing baseband.zip that you'll get from the same site you got the ROM.

I went in phone settings -> about phone and I see that I have Baseband, but I don't find Imei.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-cm-11-0-galaxy-grand-neo-i9060-t2893802
This is the link where I got the ROM, but I don't find Baseband.zip
Well try another ROM ,its the one way to fix this.
Another would be to flash your imei ,you can find it in your phones case ,the tool would be sn write tool if your phone has mediatek (don't know/not familiar with other chipset family)
Plus the ROM you gave the link for is buggy and not in development.so you should try another ROM or if there isn't one use stock.
Incoming calls wont work either defenatly not a ROM to use as a daily driver

Yes I saw that earlier but the dev said its already in the ROM and just posted that for developers. But give it a go ,this still won't fix your incoming call bug though.

No what I meant by the stock ROM was the official ROM released for your phone(as in the condition your phone was at the time you bought it)
As for ril ,it has relation to sim but I'm not sure whether
Your problem will be fixed.

The official firmware will overwrite it so you don't need to
But if you really wanna uninstall boot into twrp, choose wipe then wipe data, cache, system, and dalvik.
