Hello,
Iv'e just flashed a mbmloader (from the droid razr dev edition) and I typed moto-fastboot flash mbmloader mbmloader.bin and moto-fastboot reboot-bootloader and it didn't boot up?
It doesn't show any LED?
What is going on.
It did say "OKAY" through all the processes but it didn't boot up.
Any sugestions that don't require turning the device.
Thanks in advanced,

Yeah, if you are not getting the white LED, then you are most likely done for. That tells me that it may have blown the efuse that connects the power circuit to the device, not the board. I could be wrong, but the last time I saw this on a A2, it was from me using a kernel that was unsigned and compiled from source, and it would not even give the white LED, and jtag and riff did not see it at all.

If you are listed to make decisions on the account you can go into the store, but they will call the 1-800 number... again to call that same number you need to be listed/allowed to make decisions on the account.
I will pm you that 800 warranty number.

I had the same issue, it was stuck forever in the vodafone logo, and fastboot mode or recovery modes didn't work at all, no matter what combination of buttons, after an incomplete SPL update.
"The only thing slightly different was keeping the trackball pushed when pressing the power button, lighted up the led light in blue, and nothing else, no logo or any other activity.
I thought it was completely bricked, but no. Here's what i did
With the phone off, connected the USB cable, then powered it up. While it was still frozen on the logo screen, i could actually issue fastboot commands, so I was able to send a fastboot boot recovery.img and flash again the SPL, and a new ROM. No problem after that." EHRepli
Try what he said on a different post and see if that works. If not then you're screwed.
which recovery image should i flash????
C:\android-sdk-windows\tools>fastboot boot recovery.img
< waiting for device >
it's just sitting there,,, i have the same bahaviour i press the trackball with power i get blue LED, i turned it off, plugged it in via USB then turned it on. Should i be trying to get it into fastboot mode? or just normally turn it on?
There are a few thread on how to recover from that. Some can recover, some can not. It all depends on what was done initially and which radio image was installed and the OS image etc.
I recently flashed a ion (32B) radio on the Roger's magic and was completely stuck. Sent it in to HTC and they fixed mine for US$20.00 and 10 day of waiting. If your phone is still under warranty, do that. Worst case, if you are in Canada, see if a Rogers store can replace it for you.
i really dont know what i did wrong...

Same here, I have tried every key sequence known to man and still no luck. I tailed the output of messages (under linux) watching for a glimmer on the usb port when connecting/powering on/removing/replacing battery etc etc but there is nothing.
Without it there is no way for me to fastboot a recovery. I'm afraid I have a $500 brick unless someone has a radical idea...:-(
i just brought it back and got a new one...
It happen the same to me in my Rogers HTC magic, just wipe again and reflash thats how I solved it
Make sure you flash the cm-rom and then flash the ebi1/32A port file.

Have you tried holding down BOTH volume buttons while powering on the device to boot into AP Fastboot, and try to flash the FXZ that way?
I try that but nothing happen.

Meretail flashing with at&t rom?
It does not seem like a good idea.
You can downgrade it to http://sbf.droid-developers.org/edison/5.5.1-EDEM-27-MEARET_cfc.xml.zip with RSd Lite (Made it with RSD Lite 4.7 successfully).

So, can you even boot into AP Fastboot, or is your device not powering on at all...?
Solution
seems like ur rom chip in the motherboard has gone bad. same happened to me when trying to flash custom rom to AT&T atrix 2. Went to Motorola service center costed me $160 to get a new motherboard ...but it got fixed and worth the effort....worth a try...
So i was flash the wrong rom.
But i can't flash again because i cannot enter the AP Fastboot, both vol button n power on do nothing.

Maybe your battery is empty. Never start to flash without full battery (and not correct rom of course).
If you're feeling brave, try THIS...
Thanks for the feedback.
So i can still hold both vol button + power up to enter the bootloader if i flash fail?
I remember it stuck at 5/21 in RSDlite.

No, the bootloader is locked on the MB865. You mentioned before that trying to boot into AP Fastboot isn't responsive either, right? If you are able to do anything, you need to flash 5.5.1-EDEM-27-MEARET_cfc.xml.zip as xanadu suggested.
Always a good idea to make a CWM backup before flashing any new roms, just in case...
LOCKED??
I think my battery is empty so it black screen when i press the button.
And i got many cwm backup which i backup before my phone cannot boot.
How to restore the cwm backup if my phone can't boot?

If you're completely dead in the water, you'll have to find a way to get charge to the battery. You might try The McGuyver Method to get a charge to battery, but be very wary in doing this -you could fry your phone and/or explode your battery. If you're not comfortable doing this (and I don't recommend this if you are not savvy with electrical stuff and 'open phone surgery' you should first try and get your hands on a new OEM battery!

Before you ship your device off to the netherworld of Motorubbish, try getting a new battery. It may be a faster fix and you won't have to deal with wait tine from Moto. Plus, if you've rooted and Moto is able to determine that you'll have no warranty.

Also if you are debating getting a new battery, try to get an external charger, it costs a lot less and you will be able to recover from this a whole lot easier if you have the external charger, otherwise McGyver is the only way out for you...
I would NOT take this into Motorola, especially since you failed a flash, they can see that, the first time they get it to turn on it will go to the recovery screen and say failed flash.... They may NOT give you any support.
I would try the external battery charger.
Here are a couple examples of Atrix2 external battery chargers:

thats your best bet unless you know someone with the same phone. I have a family member with the same one, so when I killed my battery during a flash I just stole that one for 5 minutes.
Hi all,
Did a factory data reset with a rooted, bootloader unlocked XT925 on stock jb and now its bricked. I can't access recovery, and when I do the simulated battery pull by pressing both volume keys and power button, it shows the moto dual core screen, before going to the android with the blue bar underneath usually seen while updating for about 30 seconds before briefly flashing the android on its side with the red triangular warning sign above it, then it powers off.
Is there anything I can do to save it? I had modified the start up animation which I think may be causing it. It won't even show up when plugged into my computer.
Thanks
Hi there :
At this point, can you get your xt925 on fastboot mode by pressing volume up and power while it is off? if so, you can just go ahead and flash a 4.1.2 rom. Since your BL is unlocked you can download one from any region that suits you.

i have seen an unusual trend of hard bricks coming from fdr's recently. i cant begin to explain it, or offer a fix for it.
unfortunately from what you have described, your phone seems to be gone.
i can only suggest that anyone having issues with there phone, that they think a fdr would fix, dont do it!! re-flash with rsd instead until we determine what is causing this.
i know its not wide spread, but i wouldnt risk it just the same.

Hello everyone
im in a little big dilema here.
i was on cm11 and i wanted to go back to stock,
so i tried to flash Retail brasil and the process failed at around the second step,
i believe it said something about tz signed.
i left my device there, then after the phone shut down i could no longer turn it on.
i tried the vol- and power and i got nothing, also the vol+ vol- and power and also nothing.
i cannot make my phone respond.
also battery was at around 80% so it does have battery.
im afraid i might of bricked it trying to go back to stock. xD
kind of funny.
has this happened top anyone?
help would be appreciated a ton.

Some questions that may help people help you if you can answer them:
Did you use an fxz with RSD Lite when you were trying to go back to stock? If so, where did you get it? If not, what procedure did you use? Which version of Android was it? 4.1.2?
Although to be honest, if you can't even get to fastboot, your chances aren't good. I've been in similar situations before and I was able to fix it because I could at least get into fastboot and start from scratch. You are sure power + volume buttons together isn't working?

for some reason my phone no shows a green led when connected to the computer and to the wall charger but only for a little while then it starts blinking.
but is there some option i could try?
I was following Timmaaas 'How To' guide to a tee when I got to step #5 and and did the Reboot to find that my phone is now bricked. I was racking my brain trying to understand what I did wrong and I realize that I used the wrong Boot.img file when I flashed it!
I was having issues during the entire process and realized it was because I was using the CyanogenMod One X ROM instead of the XL. This was causing me to get an 'Error 7' until I switched to the XL and everything downloaded fine. However, I completely forgot to replace the Boot.img and ended up flashing my phone with the One X boot.img instead of the XL!
The phone is not responding at all. I did have it plugged into the computer and after it became bricked my computer downloaded the Qualcomm USB drivers for 9006 but its still not responding at all.
Is there anything I can do? It seems like all I need to do is change that one boot file and I would be golden. Please keep in mind this is my first Root so if you know of a way to fix I would really appreciate it if you can teach me in simple terms if possible.
Thanks so much! I really appreciate all you guys do at XDA you help an enormous amount of people. A donation from me is on the way! :good:
EDIT: I kept messing with the power button trying to boot it over and over and finally it launched to HTC one entry screen with the red text for a little less then 1 second but then shut back off. Maybe this gives some hope?
You're gonna need to get a jtag repair done. There's just no way for you to get the device to the bootloader in order to flash the right boot.img because it won't boot due to you borking the boot partition.
