sadly this would be consider warez. This would be forbidden here on xda

Flash back your nandroid backup, extract APK and save on sd card, restore nandroid backup of cm10... Install photoshop...
Is a bit of a runaround but no one gets in trouble here...

Ti backip is also great for the above

+1. That's what I did at first. I've now moved onto the JMT rom.
Use Titanium Backup, you can uninstall just about anything, and because you can uninstall just about anything you want to make sure you know what you are deleting is non-essential.

There is no official Samsung version of JB for the GT7+. I don't think anyone knows whether there ever will be one.
The previous poster was referring to aorth's port of CM10. The first post in that thread gives download links and instructions.
I finish download jb.. Can use odin?

Look at the instructions in his post...
Flash from cwm recovery, which can also be found in development section. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29077817.

Yes, and after installing CWM Recovery, use it to make a full backup before you flash CM10. (This is in aorth's thread too. I'm just emphasizing it.)
Copy the backup onto your PC or onto an SD card different from your everyday SD card. Keep it safe. If anything goes wrong or you ever want to return to stock ICS, the backup makes it very easy. Without a backup it can be very difficult.

It took 8 months for us to get ICS so I'm assuming the same amount of time or longer to get JB, maybe June 2013.

MD5 sum mismatch? Then either your backup is corrupted or you changed versions of Clockworkmod Recovery in between backing up and restoring. What version are you using?

Did you rename the backup by chance to something with spaces in it and unapproved characters? Backups can't have any spaces and must use A-Z, 0-9, and underscores in the filename.

There were a lot of issues with CWM recovery v6 prior to 6.0.1.0. One of them being backups getting corrupt. There's good chances your backup is corrupt and you'll have to start fresh. You can try installing 6.0.1.0 and see if you're able to restore (although I would doubt) or you can try to restore partially (Go in Advanced Restore).
Either way, make sure to upgrade to the latest version once you are done.
One more thing, have you touched the Clockworkmod folder in any way? Touched the blobs folder? Freed space? Because the way the new Clockworkmod works is incremental, so you don't want to modify anything.
No i didn't tamper with dat folder. Pls can u point me to where i can download the version u are talking about?

Personally I do not like the new CWM v6, so I'm using version 5.8.0.2 Touch. Very reliable, but the backups are larger than the new one (but complete instead of incremental)

since this is the i777 forum, my guess would be that your section is not here. if you don't know what section is yours, you probably shouldn't be rooting and modding your phone.
sorry to be so harsh.

Not harsh at all. Following directions properly is the main ingredient for successful flashing or using apps that require root. Since restoring with TiBu across different ROMs can definitely mess up your phone if not done correctly, one needs to know exactly what they are doing. Not being able to find the correct forum is a bad omen.
Moving to a more appropriate thread...
Guys didn't wanna start a new thread and clog it up so ill ask here. With the new update a titanium backup, isn't it supposed to I have update zips that restore with data? when I restore through recovery after complete wipes, the app's install but there is no data. I was hoping that this zip would restored exactly the same as it would in normal restore processes. Example: SwiftKey needs setup again, all accounts need to be signed back in, etc

[Q] App Data backup without root??

I have looked in the playstore and most backup apps need root to backup app data. I bought a Skyrocket for a friend of mine overseas and I want to make sure he can transfer data from his apps to the Skyrocket. His phone is stock and not rooted. Anyone know a way to backup app data without root??

Lifehacker.com recommends Carbon. Haven't tried it yet myself. It's on my wishlist. Using App backup & restore by Infolife LLC myself. Haven't had the need to do a restore yet, so don't know if it's really good.
