[Q] Samsung Infuse 4G (unlocked) - upgrade - Samsung Infuse 4G

Hi,
My AT&T samsung infuse 4g is unlocked and I am using it on another carrier.
Now I have been recently facing this problem where my phone is randomly switching to 'flight mode'. When I switch it back on by pressing the power button for some time and clicking on 'Airplane mode is on', the option fades out and the problem persists.
When i try turning of the option from settings-> wireless and network - > flight mode, it puts off the green tick and says 'enabling wireless networks'...after few seconds, it again turns on the green tick mark. The problem is still there.
This happens many times a day randomly.
Please help me with the issue. Also, when i had a chat with samsung agent, i was told to perform a factory reset. Is it the only way out of this problem?
If yes, will performing factory reset 'lock' my phone to the AT&T network again?
Also, if I am looking to upgrade my firmware to the gingerbread version through Kies Mini, will this upgrade lock my phone to the AT&T network again?
Any help on these will be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not to familiar with unlocking phones...but a factory reset will not lock you back to Att and I'm pretty sure the kies update won't either

Sudden Disconnection from network?

So out of nowhere, my HTC Sensation no longer connects to the network. I would get roughly around 5 mbps around my house, but just all of a sudden, it stopped working. I tried rebooting the phone, and turning on/off airplane mode, and it just doesn't seem to be working. Anyone have any more tips before I try and factory resetting? Also i think I may be experiencing a bug because every time I open any app, I get a very quick glimpse of the weather instead, and then the app opens up. Thanks
What was your previous phone with t-mobile? If you don't have an "android plan" it seems that T-mobile is blocking you from data.
Check this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1128335&highlight=data&page=5
I had the same problem two days ago and had to do a factory reset to solve the problem.
Previous phone was MyTouch 3g, so I'm sure I'm on an android plan
Thanks for the link, I'll check it out
Don't assume it's your phone. It's possible that service in your area is down. If you have another t-mobile phone check to see if it has reception. Next go into settings, wireless&networks, and select mobile networks. Then choose network operators and select automatically. If nothing comes up I would call t-mobile because resetting your phone.

[Q] Nexus 5 will not automatically connect to cell network

Hi All,
I've been having an issue after upgrading from a Nexus 4 to Nexus 5 where the phone will not re-connect to the home network (or will only reconnect to GSM with no data) after losing connection. This happens for example when going into an elevator or parking garage; I'll lose signal and when I get back into a signal area it won't reconnect unless I go to the "Mobile networks" -> "Network operators" menu and select "HOME" or "Automatic Registration". I'm using Straight Talk wireless with an older T-Mobile SIM (before they switched to only AT&T). I've called Straight Talk a few times to try and debug this, but the only instruction they've given me is to reset the APN and set it up again, which I've done a couple times to no avail. They claim that the SIM card is good on their end. Any ideas what might be causing this?
Thanks!

It sounds like the Baseband/RIL problems I had with my old LG OP2X with non-stock roms. For me, it was fixed switching to aeroplane mode and back, it could also get stuck there, I remember it once took me half a day to get it out for I didn't want it to wipe it.
Any way, may be it's not the same but it could be fixed flashing a baseband, I think I saw a thread about it somewhere around... Also, flashing the full firmware should —if it's not a hardware issue— solve the problem without doing much research.
HI

Hi Were you able to get a solution for this, My nexus 5 does not connect automatically to the network, it works only for manual search.
Please help...
Same problem here. Any solution?
I'm stuck with out any connection for the las two days. Tried removing battery, airplane mode. manual search. nothing.
Tried my line in other phone and it worked, other line in my phone and it didn't.
S4 I9500. Paranoid 4 Beta 4.
I don't have a really good solution, i reflashed my phone to stock and it did not fix the issue. I ended up switching carriers to T-mobile and haven't seen the problem since. It seems it was a SIM or network problem like i suspected

LTE issues after installing N920PVPU2BPD2 update

I just installed N920PVPU2BPD2 this morning. I am now having LTE issues. my phone will only stay connected to lte for a few minutes, after that I can still see the lte symbol, but data is not working. Nothing no sites loads , apps can't communicate with the internet. If I enter/exit airplane mode that seems to fix it for a few minutes, but then the problem reoccurs. Sprint technical support is useless, they basically told me to take it to a repair center. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions?
I already updated the profile, PRL, did a hands free activation, changed mobile data settings from automatic to lte/cdma then back again Problem still exists. rebooted the phone several times.

Try a factory reset as last resort?
anyone else have this issue and figure out a fix for it? I tried everything OP did and factory reset with no luck and sprint tech support has been no help either.
How did you install it?

No cellular service, cell radio turned off?

Hello,
I am running the VZW S8+ and my cellular service is not connecting to anything.
The status icon has 0 bars without the "x".
Airplane mode takes an abnormal time to toggle off.
Yes, I've rebooted my device and powered down and waiting for a while.
Yes, I've tried the ejecting SIM card and rebooting method.
I believe that my cell radio has been turned off somehow and I can't access the Android "Testing" menu to toggle it back on via dialer codes.
Please advise. I will try my best to furnish any supplemental information.
E:I went nuclear and factory reset my device.
Did you do a hard reset to restore your phone to its original (default) settings?
