I installed this yesterday, the latest WP7.8 5.5 from WinphoneViet... really pleased with it...
I have rebranded it to Samsung instead of Nokia... I don´t care about the Nokia Apps so I don´t mind. And also I have CAB´d the Swedish language. As we know the Nokia Apps don´t work after that either.
Anyhow... one of the Changes in this build is better Icons. However, the Music and Video tile has been re-named to just "Music". The downside with this is that the title don´t change with my language. I guess that the modification is behind that.
Is there anyway through regedit or PhoneExplorer I can change the title to my own language... by just a simple change in a xml-file or something? Where do I find the Music and Video app in PhoneExplorer?

Hi, I'd like to make my fonts look like the ones that they advertise with the crossbow. I mean i'd like to have my whole system with those fonts but i don't know how. I've done tons of searching but i could not find anything that would help me change the fonts of my whole system (unless i build my own rom with those fonts but that's too complicated for me). Is there another way? i've found some threads that's suppose to change the fonts but it messed up my fone, others do not change the whole system but just some fonts. All WM6 roms that i've used do not have those fonts that I'm talking about. I'd like to make it like the fonts on this picture. Can someone help me please?

I don´t think it is so easy - but what about cleartype. The font doesn´t look so different for me. Just cleartype?? Don´t know.
Start - settings - screen - enable cleartype.
And there are registry hacks to enable it also in landscape mode. (Registrywizard or HTweakC)

Looking at the screengrabs I think they're from a VGA device (a HTC Universal for example), which is why the fonts looks slightly smoother and more rounded. The font on the XDA Exec I borrowed looked a lot nicer than my XDA Mini-S just because it was higher res, despite the actual screen real-estate being used in the same way (IE. although the screen was higher res, everything was larger to compensate). The effect I saw looked just like in some of your screenshots - particularly the first portrait one.

Sorry for my late response...I was suppose to reply back to you after you reminded me that the fonts could be changed...I managed to change the fonts by adding the files to the font folder in the \windows\fonts directory...the extention you are looking for is .ttf...I tried to use a font with a different extention and it didn't work...also if you are looking for fonts then your best bet is http://dafont.com ...they have the best looking fonts, and they have popular fonts used in movies, video games, etc...the one that I am running is aiight, and the one that i put on my girl's is the Walt Disney font...one more thing, after you put the fonts on your ppc you will need to have a program to change the font for you, or you'll need to either change some registry key to enable it (I don't know the keys), or use a program like Tweaks2k2.net to change it...it's not a free program, but you'll be able to use the program 3 times before you have to register it...I don't if you were looking for the font used in WM6 or you were looking for a way to change fonts on the ppc, but anyways here's some info for those who wanted to do this...
Btw this only changes some fonts, but not all of them...it's better this way just in case you put a font that is blurry, too small, etc...while I was trying out fonts for my girl's phone, this happened to me...if all the fonts on the ppc were changed, I wouldn't have been able to find the options easily to change the font...looks awesome though...even my keyboard font changed...my cousin said I'm ghetto because my font looks like tagging lol...

While we are on this topic.....Some of my fonts are messed up!
I installed the 10 button Comm Manager and couldn't get the WLAN to activate. I then went back to the 8 button Comm Manager. Later I found a fix for the 10 and uninstalled the 8. When I did it messed up my fonts. Does anyone have the stock fonts they can send me?

i have ruttensoft homescreen designer 2007 but i can`t change the picture from the menu maybe you know some software that can do this...
Theres a reg key somewhere, can't remember atm, but I will post the relevant keys etc when I next get chance

i guess he meant this path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSStart\BKBitmapFile
and change it (path to picture which you want to have under menu) for example \Storage Card\Wallpapers\mypicture.jpg

Easiest way for you to learn, is to copy an existing theme
(it's a plain text) and see what line changes what...

dude there aint any good homescreen maker...a good one to change color scheme is homescreen designer...but to change startmenu and other default pictures ...use some reg editor like sktools or something...jjust search for the picture and change it....for ex...start menu in HTC S710 is by default named startmenu...search for it and change the path as u like...

they come with some embedded elements like code which u paste in ur xml file, specify coordinates (from top left corner of screen as origin) and then finally size. Format state is actually for selectable plugins. Trust me, it jsut requires a bit of HTML knowledge and some hit and trial.
But I bet its alot complex.
If u want to edit homescreen real time on ur smartphone, I would recommend using Vieka's Free WordPad (totally compatible with any text document)
i am a LG KS20 user. my phone is unbranded, with the windows 6.0 rom. One day, i used my omarket to download some kickass apps, then as i always did, I opened my Nitrogen, then to a surprise, the font changed. I used to see korean in the playlist, but now i can't. also, youtube's font changed. the fonts really stupid and has thin lines, so its so annoying. btw, the 'screen align' font (the big letters on the top) changed when i opened that (i bought a screen cover recently). CAN ANYONE HELP ME? I need to see the korean from nitrogen. i tried S2P as an alternative, but its not as good as nitrogen. ANYONE HELP MEEEE!

But I dont want to change my Theme cause of many Tweaks i made.
Are there any Solutions for that.
2) I want to change the Windows Startbutton Icon.
I have installed the standard icon, but i want to replace it with a b/w
Sony Ericsson Icon.

Hello friends, I am very new to android, but since I changed the ¡Phone for this OS, and researched this ye seen that it is much better, starting that can be edited .. I have a Samsung Galaxy J1 model 2016. I bought excited which had the numbers '2016' now I see that it is not 'THE MODEL' referring to how good I thought it was, it is just an improvement / upgrade previous J1. The phone came with Android 5.1.1 Dual SIM, LTE, etc.
I am very organized and / or perfectionist about cell. I wonder if someone could develop a custom ROM based on Android M '6' because this phone just was introduced in January this year, probably no one heard from him, then, let me know, if could develop.
I would like the update, because I like the icons of the task bar elegant look, and that, but .. I liked the menu of Samsung, I mean, the menu of the taskbar is not black and all icons if not, which is blue, horizontal 'I'll put image'
