Hello all,
I just received my sim unlock code from my provider because my phone has a simlock.
They said in the email that I have to put in a foreign simcard, enter the code of that simcard and then I have to see a screen where I can type the simlock code.
Unfortunately that screen doesn't show up.
My HTC Sensation XE is rooted and I have Android 4.2.2 from Albinoman887.
Is there another way to enter the code to unlock my simlock?
Thanks in advance
I may be wrong but I think this is most likely operators fault..
You could always try another ROM and see where that gets you.
After that there is always the option to go back to stock ROM.

For HTC the only way to insert the unlock code is after the phone asks for it,with another sim inside. Is a common problem not to ask for code if you have another rom installed so restoring to the stock rom should allow you to insert the unlock code
Any body know how to get the unlock code for samsung galaxy s5 so that it can be used with t mobile without paying some website to get the same information?

Wrong question.
Question is: how to I get the 'enter sim unlock code' screen.
This screen doesn't exist on Sprint SGS5.

so i couldnt take my gs5 with sprint to tmobile?
I think its the same case as the s4 where the 'SIM' only serves as a card for LTE and nothing else. Also sprint is CDMA and t mobile is gsm so I assume that the phones (hard- and software wise) are going to be a little different.

The S5 has GSM capability just like the S4 and the S3 before it. The S4 *can* be SIM unlocked for GSM carriers. I assume the same is possible for the S5, but who knows whether the same method can be applied.

No according to people about note 3 the imei has to be manually unlocked in sprint system then you can do the uicc unlock from phone ... I had to talk to international customer service to get my note 3 unlocked and you can only unlock one phone per calendar year ... none of the other unlock methods worked with note 3 .. it is said to be encrypted and stored in nv ram. .. the note 3 still has not been unlocked and it's been 6 months

I should have clarified. Officially, yes Sprint will "unlock" any of their devices that support GSM - IF you meet their requirements. But they still employ modem blocks that prohibit domestic connections, so the phone will only work internationally. The S4, m7, and some others can be domestic unlocked via software hackery.

But that still only gives you international access
I am working on a solution for this.
I have experience doing sim unlocking (I found the sim unlock method for the LG Optimus 3D).
I bought one of this phones to try to unlock it.
What I have found so far:
-The uicc unlock is preformed by Sprint OTA (over the air) by sending a network message to the phone to init the unlocking function.
-This message can be sent by generating a fake message and using a software DFS CDMA to comunicate to the device modem and generate the secuence.
-This was done to the Sprint Galaxy S4 but now Samsung implemented a signed encrypted package for the S5.
-By default, domestic networks (Tmobile and ATT) are locked even though sprint unlocks the uicc
-This can be overriden easily once we unlock the uicc
What I need to continue my search:
-a EFS and NVRAM Backup of a phone that had the uicc unlocked
-a App Log for the uicc unlocking state (a phone that is eligible for unlocking by sprint and activate the application log to monitor the unlocking process)
Any help would benefit the entire comunity.

Sounds great. I would suggest posting in the general S5 section, though I believe Sprint requires you to have it active for 90 days before they will unlock
The 90 day thing is a technical rule, but you can get them to do it earlier via the "back office"

I just created a bounty thread for SIM unlock Sprint Galaxy S5(SM-G900P). Support it, if you are interested. That might help things to get little speed up.

I purchased a Galaxy S7 online, came with a T-Mobile receipt showing the device is paid in full, upon my request the original owner used the unlock app to request a permanent unlock before shipping and it was successfully unlocked. I received the device about 3 days ago everything works as it should, I opened the unlock app just to double check and requested a permanent unlock again and got this message (Unlock Failed: This mobile wireless device is not eligible for unlock etc...) I know the device is unlocked I tried an inactive AT&T sim and did not request a code. Anyone can tell me why the unlock app does not recognize that the device is unlocked, thanks in advance.
You might have to call t-mobile or log in to your t-mobile account and see the unlock status or your device..how do u know the original owner was able to successfully unlock the phone? It's it works with another carrier sim then the phone sld be unlocked and it sldnt be an issue..maybe it's giving up the error msg since it's already unlocked
Sent from my SM-G930F using XDA-Developers mobile app
99% certain that if the device is unlocked, the device is simply unlocked and that's that. If the SIM works you're good to go and any further attempts fail.
Finally T-Mobile website updated the status of the device as unlocked and can be used with any GSM network, but the unlock app still fails to show that, every time I try I get the same message (Unlock Failed) anyone out there has a fix for this error?
Not sure I understand your question.... the phone is already unlocked so the unlock app will give u an error message....cause it's already unlocked...Good luck man...

I have my Samsung Galaxy S7 Unlocked by app. If I try the unlock app process again I'll get the (unlock failed) that means nothing. Put a active simple of another GM Carrier, if it works you are all set. It won't ask to give any code, it will just recognize the other Carrier. Hope this helps.

Hello. I bought an Unlock code for my J7 that is locked to T-Mobile UK.
The problem is that when I insert any other carrier Sim card, the phone don't ask me for the code. It only shows some message saying that the phone can be unlocked remotely and the option I have is "OK". Even when i dial *7465625*638*# nothing happens.
Does anyone knows what should I do?

First, this is the correct message your phone should display and it should be unlocked by now.
However, there are a few things you could check:
1. Verify if the phone's IMEI is clean on websites like: http://imeipro.info
2. Remove any potential Region Lock (if your phone hasn't been used before, place a 5 min call with an accepted SIM card).
3. What message did you receive after inserting the code?
