I have downloaded and installed Maluuba which is considered the next voice recognition app that challenges Siri. I must say, after using for the last few days, this things will give Siri, Google Now and any others a serious run for the money (ohh its free). Cons, I cant figure out how to stop the screen rotation when my keyboard is attached. Also, it doesn't talk to you, for me I love not hearing those silly robotic voices. I like how it handles task etc...
Good luck!

I just discovered it myself, and I am testing the different tasks that I can complete with it. So far, it seems very very promising
I did get a response from the developers and they said they are looking into landscape mode and to stay tuned for updates

Hi There, I am a partially sighted user who has bought a motorola xoom. I also have an iPad and I have been looking for an app on the xoom which is built into iOS. It's the white on black feature, also known as colour inversion.
I have searched the market place high and low for such an app using all different search terms, i.e negative, inverted etc etc but I can't find anything. The native white background on web pages or any other text intesive apps really over strains my eyes, sometimes to the point where I have trouble making out the words of text. I also use the negative feature on my PC and is a much more comfortable experience.
I would like to know if anyone has come across such an app for android? I really love my xoom but I can't yet replace my iPad for using on the train to read the web because of my trouble.
Apologies if this was posted in the wrong section, it was difficult to know which category it fits into.
This might require root access. Anyways, good luck.

My device is already rooted but I still have no idea how to do it! Any ideas?
Your best bet on this may be to wait on chainfire 3d being updated for honeycomb.. one of the night modes may work great for you.

In the browser settings on my phone, I see an option to invert color of web pages. That could be a good place to start.
Hope you get it all worked out.
Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I was hopeful about the option in the web browser settings suggested but unfortunately this option doesn't appear in the settings for the xoom. Its a real shame re the complete lack of native accessibility options built into the implementation of the OS by motorola.

could i get an example of why its so cool? I installed it and took a look at it and it just looked like a regular keyboard with a skin.
thanks.
I like it because to me it has great word prediction. When the settings are on rapid, and I can just tap away and not really worry about what I pressed, because it usually knows what I'm trying to type out. I haven't had much luck with my large fingers and any other keyboards. It also learn from your sms, facebook, and twitter.

No Swype = non-starter.
I liked it at first until it made ntt phone really slow. At some times it used more ram than android os.

No longer free so I'm closing this before people start whining about missing the offer and asking for apks...
forgive me if this has been posted somewhere.
Is there a way to receive notifications from my EVO 3D on my Transformer?
the only thing i can think of is maybe like vnc server apps like that i know i can access my phone from my tablet home screen and all ... i think that might be the best option of apps similar to that.
That was the first thing i considered also. Seems like a battery drainer to keep running all the time(in my head anyway). I was hoping for a bluetooth type option(also a drainer lol).
Sorry on bluetooth option, not much I can suggeest on that one good luck

hi
i would like to know if there is an app that allows you to send text messages through your phone using a tab.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
TexTab uses Bluetooth connection between the two-works really well. There is TexTab lite to try before you buy
SyncSMS works via dropbox but I can only give a mixed report, found it random and support not the best for a paid app

TabletTalk is another good app.
I use it cause it also notify for calls/missed calls.

Tablet Talk is a lot better than TexTab IMHO; I've used both a lot.

Some other voice assistants you might be interested in:
Iris - pretty good, has been around the longest of these 3, I believe. Not my first choice though
Utter! - very good. It runs in the background (keeps a notification in the status bar) so it's quick to respond when you open it.
Maluuba - my favorite. More of an all around Google Now alternative than simply a voice assistant (it actually doesn't respond in speech yet, but I think that's planned), it gives the most info and has the best looking interface. It also lets you type in questions and stuff, which is often useful. Technical questions will return a WolframAlpha response.
Sorry about the lack of links, 10 posts and all that. They're available on the Play Store though.
