Hello,
Is it safe to use LGMDP in custom recovery mode to go back to stock ROM? I use AmonRA recovery. And I have got all *.mbn files ready.
Can I boot into recovery mode and use LGMDP? I am on HepHappy Cm9.1.1 final. And one more thing. My device can't be detected my LGMDP or any other "reverting to stock" tools.
Thanks.
Yes, but you need .dz file from .kdz file of stock rom. using LGMDP is safe in custom recovery
I was still not sure, hence first I flashed a GB rom and then in regular mode I used LGMDP and flashed stock GB Rom!
Thanks anyways..

You want to install ics right?
Go back in sw mode and flash xbsas ics again with flashtool, then you can start over in korean rom root it and install uboot and xloader, there is a very good tool in this board created by OS_Hacking, its a easier way to flash uboot and so o. After you flashed it (uboot and xloader) flash with the all in one tool twrp works very fine. After that choose every ics rom you want

X-louder (or called the first laoder)
U-boot (or called the second laoder)
They are in one option (ICS Bootloader) for easier flash .
Flash them , then flash recovery

Hi guys,
I am pretty new to this android arena, still manage to learn few basic things, like rooting, flashing custom ROMs, updating CWM etc. I have MMX Canvas HD A116 and 2 days back MMX has released v4.2.1 for Canvas HD. Though I have also found flashable ROM of v4.2.1 but I have been thinking little differently.
1. Can we flash nonflashable ROM without recovery.img just to save our CWM means just deselect the recovery.img after loading scatter file i.e. MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc
OR
Can we use CWM v6.0.3.0.img instead of recovery.img of stock ROM so that CWM will get flashed along with the ROM?
Is it safe to do it this way or should we stick to the traditional method of first flashing it normally that is first flash the stock ROM using SP Flash Tool and then flash the Recovery image of v6.0.3.0?

Please stick on to the stock recovery while flashing. Afterwards u can flash the cwm u want!! I prefer ur second option, coz there are chances u can be stuck at bootloop!
Hit thanks rather than typing it

Means I can select CWM recovery image in place of stock recovery.img and flash with all other files of stock ROM?

Nope!! You got it in the wrong way. I meant to flash the cwm seperately! After installing ur firmware
And if u can possibly select seperate files while flashing through the sp flash tool, u can select cwm recovery instead. Don't know much on sp flash tool

One user tried my way of flashing i.e. unchecking the recovery.img and it did work, his CWM recovery is still intact. I believe flashing my way is safe, if something goes wrong, your CWM Recovery would still be intact and we can flash another ROM using CWM.

updated with your idea...connected my phone by recovery mode_USB-MS toggle........thank U
My Samsung Galaxy Fit version was 2.3.4. I wanted to update it to 4. I found Cyanogen Mod but it didn't support my phone. I rooted my phone properly.:victory: I installed TWRP and flashed this ROM(from xda-developers.com) and Google Apps from the same post. Everything went OK. Now, when I turn on my phone, Cyanogen Mod blue splash screen shows and two blue screens are spinning. After some searching I found that I got a loop. Now I cannot do anything with the phone. One of solutions that came to my mind is to flash a recovery(stock) ROM, but I can not find it anywhere for my model. The original, stock version is 2.3.3. I updated it via settings in Android.
What can I do now? To sum things up:
I have got a Cyanogen Mod loop
I cannot find stock image for my phone model
I do not know what to do!:crying:
EDIT: I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42924000#post42924000. I will try it and post what happened.

I want Android 4. Can I flash it first via Odin, and if that doesn't work, to flash it with stock rom?

Step-1: Flash stock rom via Odin.
Step-2: Flash cwm recovery 5.0.2.7 via Odin.
Step-3: Flash ur desired rom(Android 2 or 4...) via cwm recovery.
Simple... isn't it

I found my USB cable.
I flashed CWM 5 via Odin and reverted back to stock via CWM(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42924000#post42924000).
Now, I have a backup, if anything goes wrong, and I have version 2.4.6. Gingerbread.
You wrote I can flash stock ROM via Odin. I am just curios, how to do that? I have Odin multi downloader 4.42. I am asking this because I could flash Android 4 from there instead of CWM or TWRP(never again).
Anyway, thank you for answers.

The rom u flashed is slightly modified(for cwm) with some tweaks which r not there in samsung stock roms(like max upto 787Mhz, init.d tweaks etc...) However, the real original way to flash Gingerbread for galaxy fit is via Odin. Android 4 isn't officially supported for FIT so it's only custom supported in the form of CM10.x custom roms & hence, can't b flashed via odin.
