From what I understand all RUU's come from Football so if he doesn't have it no one does. All of them that exist for our phone are at this link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23542379&postcount=1
I do have the OTA though, but I don't think you can manually apply it.

Yes, we should wait for Footbal...

This OTA update bricked my phone, hoping to find the RUU soon. Thanks all.

Help flashing 3.33 Firmware.

Hello everyone. I'm having a hard time installing firmware 3.33, every time that i have flashed it, whether the patch or the full universal, (coming from 3.32, it still shows that i am running 3.32.
Can anyone assist me in getting it upgraded properly?
Thanks and sorry for the noob question.

Did the firmware got flashed?
Did the bootloader found the PG58IMG file and did the update? It will ask you to press volume up for update and vol down for not to update..

You can't see the phone's firmware version from settings
For checking the version
You should do
fastboot getvar version-main
Or if the hboot is 11.24.xxxx then you have 3.33

I see, so in my build number under settings, it's supposed to say 3.32.531.14 and not 3.33?

Hi,
The only thing you can really see when you look at the phone,is that the radio has been updated to a newer version.
Also, try what Ganesh suggests to get the full picture.

I'm having the same problem--
After applying the "Universal" 3.33 Firmware found in the thread:
(Firmware)(July 23)User-Friendly Firmware 1.17/3.12/3.24/3.30/3.32/3.33 Universal
... Via the bootloader--
Code:
[email protected]:~$ adb shell getprop "ro.build.description"
Still shows:
Code:
[ro.build.description]: [3.32.531.14 CL356011 release-keys]
I can find no trace of any indication that my firmware was updated.
Perhaps this "Universal" firmware really only applies to non T-Mo users?
-- and the "Universal" part only applies in the sense that flashing the PG58IMG.zip -- won't brick you if you're a T-Mo user.
---
Don't confuse the firmware with the ROM.
The firmware contains lower level phone related things like the Radio and are independent of the ROM. The ROM, however, will have version dependencies for the firmware, all that will be detailed in the ROM's OP if it's a custom ROM.
What Baseband version are you on ? About Phone ........
11.76A.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is the one from the 3.33 firmware package
IIRC 11.69.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is the one from 3.32.
The firmware packages are named after the RUU that the new firmware was initially extracted from.

Firmware UPGRADE is possible on SON, just flash 3.33.x RUU. However firmware DOWNGRADE can only be done on S-OFF so the only way to S-OFF 3.xx firmware is JB wire trick which works as long as you get the timing right so you may need to attempt it several times before success
someone told me otherwise

It means i shall still have to flash file PG58IMG.
Should i proceed with both steps

Well, the update is out now but I can't flash it. When I re-lock the bootloader phone only boots to bootloader and I don't have the original optus ruu to install. I managed to wipe my backup so I'm stuck. Any chance to get that ruu file you have there?
Optus users, please check This RUU and report back.
It will work only on ICS HTC One S C2 though.
Relock your bootloader before running it.
If this one doesn't run, Get any Icecream Sandwich OTA.zip from This thread for One S (S3 version only), and flash it using method given in my signature. Just SKIP steps 11 to 16..
After you install the stock ROM, update via OTA to Jellybean and keep a nandroid backup.
Thank you very much khan.orak
The RUU was crushing on start (win7 64bit) so couldn't test it.
However, your guide worked perfectly and I'm now on JB.
If anyone wants the edited OTA.zip and the required files let me know and I'll upload it.

Here you go mate:
Since I couldn't post an external link it's in the attachment.
Follow the instructions from step 12.
Step 14. Flashing the firmware.zip worked the second try for me
Step 22. I did flash the boot.img to make sure it will work since I don't think I had the original one.
Good Luck

But above you mention, that device is S-Off with Supercid. To get this, you must be that! What's the fact now?
Above you write, you have Android 4.1.2, but this would be Software 2.14.xxx.x and you are writing 1.17.401.5, what does not fit together. Also hboot seems to be the first one.
So i think, you don't have stock recovery or other things not stock, that is why OTA fails!
Have you tried to flash the k2ul RUU to restore everything stock?
More information, please!

Sorry for my terms.. What i mean is "Software Version Upgrade" and not "Android Version Upgrade".. Maybe i'm confused between Software and Android Version update.. Thats all.
If your hboot is 1.xx, your device is S-off and you have Supercid (like written in your info), it can work.
And then it would be more a software downgrade, than an upgrade.

You don't need to downgrade hboot, because related to your information you already have the one you need.
The OTA fails because your device is not stock and/or files are missing.
