[Q] Multiscreen feature - Galaxy Tab 7.7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all devs,
I have heard of multiscreen can be viewed in new galaxynote and s3.
This actually gives power to your phone and give user ease to work on tablets.
Is anyone thinking of using bringing same stuff with p6800.
If yes then please I will be first to install it.
It not then what are limitations?
Thanks, these are my wild thoughts!
THAT IS WHAT MAKE ANDROID MORE INTERESTING?
enjoy buddies!

Buying this phone will make u keep reading this thread !!
Beware ! U have been warned !!!
I'm having problems with it BUT, I will not say you shouldn't buy it. It's a great fone specially if you like to play games on your mobile.
Just make sure you do all the checks you need to do before the replacement period is over. Cheers!

Gr8, Thanks for the reply.
But can you specify your problems?
Please check my thread. I have an ongoing narration about it there.
Its a very good phone, economical for a hi-fi specs and lots of scope in tweaking.
Except for battery life, its a very good phone. Reliability and failure issues do exist in every electronics products.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PROPER WARRANTY SUPPORT AND SERVICE IN YOUR COUNTRY. IF NOT SAMSUNG WARRANTY, AT-LEAST THE SHOP WARRANTY.

Well this thread is a little vague, no offense, to a potential new user.
Anyway, I was gonna buy this phone for my little brother, mostly for gaming and had a few questions.
1. Being a tegra 2 device, I presume it runs most of the hd games flawlessly, right?
2. Which is the most stable rom and kernel available atm? Keep in mind, My bro would not be updating his phone in the near future, not even for ics, until I get my hands on it after about a year.
3. Ya'll talk about certain problems with the phone. Could ya'll please be more specific and elaborate? The dude who asked to check his thread, can you please provide a link mate? (I'll be searching when on my pc tomorrow, but will be nice if you can help for tonight's reading.)
4. Does OC really help on this device, again will mostly be used for gaming.
Will be happy if I/my bro doesn't get any random reboots, fc's, or crashes etc.
Cheers
P.S. I own a galaxy s2.
Edit: any other helpful suggestions will be much appreciated.

OC and non OC not a big difference.
First if it is not a big difference in money go for SGS2 it is more powerful device (not by a lot but still).
No significant issues with stability, and it has a great screen (my reason for buying it).
I know AMOLED has some advantages, but short lifespan is a no go for me (burn-in issue).
Also seems SGR has better sound processor.
On other fields SGS2 has an advantage. Consider this and do a little more research and make a decision

[Q] Multiscreen Mod?

Can any developers baked multiscreen into their custom roms for example via this website? I see it is open Source.
http://www.onskreen.com/cornerstone/
This will be very useful as it will enable us to multitasking to the max on our tablet. Esspecially when we need to cut and paste from a old document to the new document.

There is another question about this in the "general" section.
I really don't think this is a stupid question and Cornerstone looks very useful.
Is the device not powerful enough? or Is it just too much work to make it work with the Tab 2?
There must be a good reason. Somebody must know the answer and doesn't feel like taking the time to respond, I'm disappointed...most forums on XDA are quite helpful and tolerable of the end-user's ignorance.
The guys over at cm tried using it at one point. It was very broken on onskreens end, and would require too much work, so cm backed out. Team EOS I believe was doing some nice experimental work with it in the Wingray forums. (Xoom) but I don't know much else beyond that.

Newcomer here! A few questions and an introduction.

Hey Galaxy Tab 2 Team!
I'm going out to purchase a Galaxy Tab 2 7" tomorrow, and just wanted to stop by to say hi
I've been on the Optimus 2X forum since the forum was created, and just wanted to say that I'm looking forward to communicating with this community also!
Any tips for best ROM etc.? I see a lot of names I haven't seen before since I'm only used to the AOSP/AOKP/CM based ROMs.
I'll be using the tablet mainly for the purpose of reading PDFs (for school), how are you guys experience with this tablet for the purpose?
And for finals, I'll get the tablet for 160 USD, is this a fine price?
Looking forward to you guys!
Kind Regards
Neefy
Welcome Neefy. Haven't been here too long myself, and this community is pretty good. Plenty of helpful people here, and a nice international community. On roms, it depends on what you like. We have a lot of great flavors here that you find elsewhere. Cm, aokp, paranoid, and some custom Samsung stock. Update to jellybean, then use cf autoroot. Test out stock because it is pretty snappy. The price is pretty good. It beats the Christmas sale price I got. All in all, it has made me a fan of Samsung. Good luck....

Tab2.7 with Sugsonic HD
Hi
I run this tab with Sugsonic HD and it's great.
I mainly bought it to use on the London tube and it serves me quite well, especially when it's cramped and newspapers are akward to read.
I download the newspapers to read offline.
Ideally I'd prefer a 10" to use indoors and this is on my wish list.

As with everyone, i say try them all out... ROM choice will always be about personal preference. I like the aokp variety, but i use the ir blaster frequently and it doesn't work on non stock (....yet). Welcome, and good luck!

[Q] To Flash or not to flash?

Asked this question over on the Note 8.0 forum but will also ask you here as well since the two tablets are pretty similar other than in form factor and that you have had more time to play. Was hoping to explore the pros and cons of flashing a custom rom on this device as, unlike on other devices, the spen has functionality that goes beyond barebones androids capabilities.

Fleksy update is AWESOME

Go get it!!
I have to make a statement here. When Fleksy released there late and unfinished first version, I was there to make a harsh review. The new version now available is just everything I dreamt of, it looks nice, it's fast, handy, it really is the first very professional keyboard on gear 2.
Congratulations Fleksy, amazing job here... :highfive:
I concur, the only thing missing now is an option for voice reply on the keyboard.

Thanks for the comments guys, we really appreciate them!
How could we make Fleksy even better on the Gear?

If you could get it to integrate with hangouts, that'd be the icing on the cake for me.
Definitely Need Hangouts integration. Love the idea, but I don't use SMS.

hi Kosta,
how about an option of using a "numpad" just like old school phones to create messages
thank you
-source
I do truly love this app and I thank you guys, but WHY does it run so slow? It takes a few seconds to open and you need to go back and then return to it to get an updated feed of messages. The latest round of updates to it are indeed awesome, but too slow at the moment, sorry.:crying:
ive downloaded the app, and will sign and upload it tomorrow morning
Where did Fleksy go? I can't find it in the Gear store.

For some crazy reason, Samsung allows the developers to include which devices their apps will work on. Since the Note4 wasn't out yet, this becomes a problem. Also Samsungs store is so slow to get the updates and apps published it's extremely punishing to the users and developers.
The easiest way is via root where you'll need to edit the build.prop to look like a note 3 or S5. Otherwise maybe the dev's and Samsung can fix the Samsung app store. Sorry that this isn't an easy fix.
